NoNoWriMo 2010...anyone doing it?

I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year for the first time. For anyone who doesn't know it's a challenge to write 50k words in 30 days, starting on 1 November and ending on 30 Nov. Is anyone else doing it this year?

Eeek, getting nervous now. I know how I'm starting but am worried that after a big burst I am going to dry up to nothing pretty quickly.

Am not doing it this year due to four-month-old son (I know some of you have littlies but I'm just not strong enough!) and the fact I'm still editing last year's one.

Hello everyone, firsttimer here and very excited to have made a start - think (hope, anyway) this might finally be the medium which deals with my chronic procrastination problem. Have no idea where I'm going with it but feels good just to write. Good luck all.

I think you can still register today. The site's speeded up since last night - it was completely overwhelmed.

2126 words written this morning :) Thankfully I type fast so the fact that I can only get on the computer for a short while sometimes will help. Plus I will be away for 6 days this month and unable to write then, so I need a bit of a headstart.

Blimey, I started the thread and then forgot about it as it didn't seem to be moving, and now look at it!

Had my first run today and managed 2516 so quite pleased. I'll go and add some peeps now.

Have added loads of you but the site is very slow again.

I just joined. My aim is to get the children's book I have been researching for the last couple of years (on and off) finally off the ground. I am GlencoraPalliser if anyone wants to add me. I have added a couple of people from this thread but then the site went down on me, will try to add the rest later. I've done my quota for today; eyes hurt already and I've eaten a whole box of matchmakers :)

LadyGP 9-11 is my writing slot too you early birds have given us something to live up to

The general daily goal is 1667 words, which would give you 50k in 30 days. Mine is just to write as much as I can every day so if I have to miss a few days I'll be ahead of my word count.
I re read what I wrote today and I laughed out loud, so hopefully that's a good sign. I really enjoyed writing it, I could have carried on but had to go and pick up DD2 from school, and now all the children are home I've got no chance of carrying on today.

I've done my 1667 for the day!

I've got a spreadsheet and put my words in every day, and then award myself prizes when I get 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 of the way throught.

Well done . What are you going to treat yourself with? I'm itching to write some more now but I'm so tired that I know I won't write well. Have to wait til tomorrow.
