War in Ukraine/Russia is ramping up significantly. Which political party would you feel safest leading Ireland during this period?

For me Independents & AontĂș.. I can't see Michael Collins or Peadar Toibin doing anything to escalate or draw Ireland into conflict.
We are very close to the UK & Keir Stamer does not fill me with confidence.
I world not feel safe if SF, FF, FG or with any of the left leaning parties were leading us through this period.
I'll be voting taking European security into account.

Someone call Aontu and tell them their Mumsnet bot needs rebooting...

Marblesbackagain · 22/11/2024 12:32

And that's your belief, a significant majority hold different understanding.

AI works on algorithms picking out the most popular response. You are welcome as you appear to have struggled getting that response yourself.

This is Ireland not America but as the saying goes when "America sneezes Europe catches a cold" so hopefully we will see the end of all bullshit soon.

Yes Ireland where people like you are willing to throw women under a bus and restrict their healthcare in your quest to 'end woke nonsense'. Like I said people like that are no friend to women.

Marblesbackagain · 22/11/2024 12:35

@Taeandcraic are you going to admit your mistake and declamatory accusations about me as a genuine poster?

And acknowledge your incapacity to carry out a simple search to verify your lies about me being only joined this morning....

Tukmgru · 22/11/2024 12:38

Russia’s deliberate and malign interference in Ireland is well documented amongst those who look at your online space and your politics. Notwithstanding the issue of how you can possibly be neutral with regard to the full scale invasion of Ukraine and just sit by the sidelines, Russia considers Ireland a legitimate target. You can be neutral towards them all you want, but they aren’t towards you so it’s probably time to grow up a bit.

Women.. I hope you mean females. As you know female healthcare is completely different to male healthcare. So defining exactly what you mean by "women's" healthcare is a start.
As we know only females can get pregnant, have smear tweets, ivf, abortions, periods as women's reproductive systems are entirely different to mens & always will be.
So if you are talking about "women's healthcare" best redefine as female. In school you would have learned about the "female reproductive system".. It hasn't changed & never will!

I completely agree with you & we are worryingly close to the UK.

So folks the op can't use a search on this site so I would caution taking her 'facts' at face value.

If you want to engage in debate have the common sense to be accurate about other posters. It shows poor judgement and lack of critical analysis skills.

Eh trans men can also require the same health care options. That's a medical fact.

All I can do is apologise @Marblesbackagain but surely you cannot deny the "fact" that a woman is a biological adult female.

If you cannot understand the definition of a woman you show a complete lack of critical thinking & common sense. So please be accurate when referring to women. A woman is a biological adult female.

@Taeandcraic I very generously went to the trouble of sharing the definition from chatgpt. Now if you scroll up you will see it.

Individuals with wombs does that help your comprehension. I am getting very concerned about your capacity to vote if your comprehension, misinformation and spurious accusations are an indicator of your capacity.

I got your longwinded definition.
But the bottom line is a woman is a biological born female as AontĂș also have noted correctly. It is not rocket science. Males & females have completely different anatomy & reproductive systems. It's shocking that AontĂș, Independent Ireland & the Independents are the only political parties who are aware of this!

My comprehension is absolutely perfect.
I understand what you are saying.. So basically you are saying that transmen can recieve female healthcare due to their female anatomy & their female reproductive systems ie wombs as you mentioned 👍
Obviously then transwomen still require male healthcare due to their male anatomy & male reproductive systems. As obviously reproductive systems can never be changed so they will require the healthcare of their biological sex not what they identify as!

Ah there you go again with those eh rusty critical analysis skills. The definition clearly stated otherwise. It even goes to the trouble of breaking it down for you.

"A well-rounded answer should acknowledge the diversity of experiences and perspectives that exist, while respecting the individual's self-identified gender."

So no I don't agree with Aontu or there stance regarding taking a medical right fought for generations. I don't want a time machine back to the 1990s.

Oh dear, again with the comprehension skills.

I seriously recommend getting a little support with your comprehension skills. After all I was a brand new player a couple of hours ago 😂😂😂

Taeandcraic · 22/11/2024 13:27

Nope I think my comprehension is perfectly correct here 😁 can you explain? You said yourself Transmen or "individuals with wombs" still require female healthcare which really is stating the obvious..
So therefore transwomen along with all individuals with penis will require male healthcare..
So where exactly is the lack of comprehension?!!!

I thought this post was about which party could keep us safest in a war?

The thread is starting to read like an AontĂș political broadcast. Hopefully no party that is keen to bring us back to the 1980's in a social sense, will ever become a formidable presence here.

With 14,000 people homeless in the state, in one of the wealthiest countries in the world, I like many others, be voting with housing in mind: if we fixed housing it would fix so much and yes, it would take the whole heat out of the immigration debate.

14000 literally homeless. Another half million living with parents or sofa surfing. Great time to join NATO and partake in some madcap military misadventure.
But as previous posters have said , I doubt this is on the horizon of any major party. Iraq has softened the cough of the toy soldiers and their fanboys in the media at least somewhat

Take a break you are beginning to resemble a ranting individual who needs their afternoon nap. I am off to play with grown ups.

Taeandcraic · 22/11/2024 13:43

Nah, I explained it for you above. I'm not ranting! You said your self that transmen (individuals with wombs) require female healthcare, which they obviously will due to female anatomy & female reproductive system
Then transwomen (& all individuals with a penis) will obviously require male healthcare due to male body parts & male reproductive systems.
This is fact not a rant & one that you brought up referring to "individuals with wombs".. The only individuals with wombs are females, wombs are part of the female sexes anatomy & reproductive system. Which is why you are absolutely correct that all "individuals with wombs" (collectively known as females!) are obviously entitled to female healthcare.
I am in completely agreement with you & glad we can agree on something😁💯

By all means misinterpret my words, it kind of is your default. But as the saying goes there is no sense arguing with fools, fools don't know better.

Glad you showed up exactly what your disengenious opening post was.

Go lie down @Taeandcraic you need your nap. Bless they do get cantankerous when they don't have it.

Taeandcraic · 22/11/2024 13:53

How am I misinterpreteing your words?
You said "individuals with wombs" are entitled to female healthcare. Obviously they are!
The only individuals with wombs are females. Any fool could tell you thatđŸ€Ł
@Taeandcraic
says I am agreeing with you completely, I stand with you in solidarity as an "individual with a womb" (femaleđŸšș).
