This poor boy. The story just gets more and more upsetting.
There's so much wrong here, I really hope they find him/ his body so he can get some peace.

I really hope, for Kyran's sake, that they find him and can give him peace.
This story is just so awful I can't bear to think about it - I actually have to steel myself to read any stories about it.
The level of cover is so extensive, I really hope the gardaí get to the bottom of it and EVERYONE involved pays the price.

This is a hard case to read about. It chills me that this is the grandmothers house..

I think the garda have requested no social media speculation.

@halfpasteleven sure they say that with all cases and still you get the usual twats going 'can the garda doing nothing' etc. Boils my blood really because so much goes on behind the scenes as it were. Cases like this thankfully rare here but everything has to be looked into not a simple case of 'oh the ma needs to be arrested etc'. We all know she has been questioned but you cannot keep people detained unless proof.

Let's hope this case has the best outcome for justice to be done.

Awful story.

Lisa Dorrian is in the news again in NI today too. With both these disappearances it shows how easy it is for those who know what happened to shrug and say they have no idea what happened and it can be so difficult for the police to prove anything.

At least in Kyran's case there should have been an adult looking after him. Who does the mother say he was with?

Still no sign of poor Kyran. Heartbreaking case. I search his name every few weeks, hopeful that there is news, poor baby, neglected and discarded.
The DM is still saying FA, just like granny did not notice he was missing over a year before reporting. Absolute beasts.

Most likely because he was dead, sadly.
