em that is so sad. 💐

Peppa is a horrible bully, I always feel sorry for poor George. I have a nephew and a little brother 24 years younger than me who were obsessed with it btw, I’m not just watching Cbeebies to console myself for failed IVF!!

£450 to have two trees and a sh*t load of bushes removed from our front garden. It needed done but ouch. Now we can weed and clean it and plant new things we have chosen. Neighbours refused to let the gardeners trim their “half” of one tree, so it is all tidy and pruned on our side and totally over grown on theirs. What is wrong with some people?!

Happierwithouthim · 02/05/2021 10:58

Spendy week
€548 on couch for new house, expecting move in next couple of weeks
€550 servicing car including timing belt fan belt water pump
€80 transferred to Aldi savings card at end April underspend for March/April, my goal is to bring this to €250 and then do one big monthly shop and see if I can switch to that.
Child benefit savings up to €1050 now
Childcare booked for summer approx 3 weeks so probably about €1k, this is just under what I put aside each week for childcare so I'm happy with that.
I'm off for two weeks, they're with their dad for two, my mother for one and remainder childminder

Will catch up with everyone later

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/05/2021 11:29

£45 to fill the car with petrol. £1.80 Tyne tunnel x2

Happier the monthly shop swap is a good idea.

Day 2 of hovel cleaning .... ds has been an absolute star and blasted through all the bike crap that Dh leaves everywhere. We have worked out most of the mess is generated by dh.... words may be said when he gets back.

Snuggly happy LOD day to you too. Grin

Happierwithouthim · 02/05/2021 15:20

€8 on car wash, down from €12, the €6 place was closed.

€21.90 in Aldi including €1.39 on this 25 wash laundry detergent going to try it out.

Will stop at Iceland for their toilet roll which is the best quality I've tried at €3 for 9 rolls

Sorry for your sad news em
Sounds like you and DS are having a great time together unescorted
Your Y fronts have set me off thinking about men and their pants mrs. I don’t think my DP has ever bought his own...the women in his life have always provided them!
Excited now about LOD, we’ve got a takeaway on the way bought with our Just Eat voucher so feeling frugal
Smile

SnugglySnerd · 02/05/2021 20:28

This is being weird today, wouldn't let me post earlier.

Nsd. Went for a long walk and saw goslings - super cute!

Only half an hour until LOD! Enjoy!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/05/2021 06:21

Was LOD worth the wait. I see mixed reviews on line

Taking ds to the park today. Probably cafe spend.
Up early for horse show and can't get back to sleep now

Unescorted · 03/05/2021 08:06

LOD....I am torn. At the time I was meh! Now I think about it it makes sense.

Martha it is lovely to have D's to myself. We don't get the opportunity very often because he goes off on long rides with DH for weeks on end over the holidays. This year DH decided he couldn't wait until Ds had finished school.

Today's top tip don't rub your eye with contacts in. Off to retrieve one from under an eyelid....

SnugglySnerd · 03/05/2021 08:47

Unescorted that is why I could never where contacts! Hope you can get it out.

I think LOD tied up some things but also left some things unanswered but yes it did make sense. I hope there is a series 7. Trying not to give anything away!

Wolfcub · 03/05/2021 09:03

LoD think I will have to watch it a second time. I think it tried to cram too much into an hour and I was annoyed the bbc have away one of the key oooo moments in the trailer just before it

northender · 03/05/2021 09:06

unescorted I felt the same. On reflection it was a really good take on how things feel at the moment, but definitely not the kind of episode we were expecting. Ep 6 was more like a typical final episode.

Mrsmadevans · 03/05/2021 15:38

I am so glad it ended like it did. I didn't want any of them killed or to be bent. This way we can have another series please God!
