I have so far not been subjected to Bing, or Duggee. Peppa is a pain in the arse and I much prefer Ben and Holly! We had a long Mickey Mouse Clubhouse phase when we first got Disney+ but that’s mostly over thankfully.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/04/2021 18:11

Ben and Holly is great, I didn't mind clubhouse either.
Love love octanoughts thought

Unescorted · 30/04/2021 18:37

£68 in Aldi.... for 2 of us. We may have gone wild in the aisles and bought things that the other 2 wouldn't eat. It looks really healthy. DS is a lot more adventurous in his eating habits than the other 2. Mushrooms, cream, fruit and vegetables will feature in meals for the next 2 weeks.

Only 2 more sleeps until LOD..... [squeeeeee]

ememem84 · 30/04/2021 18:47

Bluey is a fave now on disney+ (and CBeebies).

I love hey duggee. A woooof!

Mrsmadevans · 30/04/2021 20:44

Dh last year birthday present today so off on a bread making course today.

£30 for D's skatepark lessons and fees. £3 MTB coaching, probable takeout tonight for dinner

Unescorted · 01/05/2021 07:25

Life that sounds like heaven.

I am considering getting out of bed. I woke up at stupid o'clock. Even the birds weren't up yet.

I am not sure what to do with today except for my C25K which will take about half an hour. Maybe some painting or drawing....

Wolfcub · 01/05/2021 07:48

I need to get out of bed an go to the farmers market

Pub later

Enjoy Life, I love a bread making course
Have a lovely chilled day painting Unescorted

Feeling frugal as cancelled a dinner booking at the local pub, DH got asked to work late so it isn’t worth it to try and make it there.

Less frugally succumbed to an Instagram ad for a leopard print maxi dress and a pink suede biker jacket but I can always return them if I get buyers remorse Grin

We have a man coming today to quote for removing all the old shrubs and bushes from our front garden and clearing it, plus cutting back the two trees we share with neighbours. Hope it isn’t too £££ as it really needs done!

life bread making course sounds amazing, I’d love to do one.

northender · 01/05/2021 08:39

Oh yes life what a fab present, enjoy.
unescorted impressive pics. Enjoy your more adventurous cooking too!
gen glad your Dh got the all clear
I remember that stage of always having to be prepared with things to do for the dc. We still have a no screens at the table rule, but they manage conversation now!
Not sure where the last few days went but work has been better, just as busy, but I think I can see some light at the end of the tunnel. I am now managing to enjoy the new stuff I am doing more than I was and its good to be doing so much learning again.
We have our last Gousto meal tonight so then back to my normal meal planning & cooking, but with some fresh inspiration & recipes I'll use again. We've had 15 meals for 4 from hello fresh & Gousto. We've paid £90 but are due £21 back on tcb so just under £5 a meal overall.
A little bit annoyed as I spent £100 on 3 tops last weekend & this weekend they have 20% off everything. You can't win 'em all.
Dh is revving up for a couple of tip trips to clear space in the garage. I am going to food shop this morning. Ds has cricket & Dd is working. GCSE exams that aren't really exams but will help determine grades start on Tuesday, so she is very stressed. She has at least one exam that isn't really an exam every day for the next 4 weeks. Totally agree with you on the effects of covid on the young people unescorted.
Have a good day everyone

SnugglySnerd · 01/05/2021 10:36

Unescorted we may have rewatched last week's LOD last night in preparation! I am so excited!!

Very cold and wet here today. I don't think it's going to be a lovely bank holiday weekend.

ememem84 · 01/05/2021 10:40

Please no spoilers re LoD. I’m only on season 5:2 I’m not going to be able to binge a whole two seasons in an evening. (If I want to sleep and be able to function tomorrow)

Wolfcub · 01/05/2021 10:46

I rewatched most of season 6 before last weeks episode just to see the story as one. Will rewatch the last two before tomorrow night

£27 farmers market.

Just washed my spring/autumn coat and put it out in the line. It was in the kitchen when I was making miso cod and smelled like fish

SingToTheSky · 01/05/2021 11:41

Rewatching is my plan for this weekend wolf the first few episodes of s6 feel like forever ago now.

Glad you’re enjoying it em!

£55 to ballroom/street today (that’s for part of April plus all of May)

SnugglySnerd · 01/05/2021 12:16

Don't worry Em my lips are sealed, pleased you are enjoying it.

ememem84 · 01/05/2021 13:14

Sad news here. Had a text from work. My colleague passed away last night after a 9 year battle with cancer. She was so kind and such a lovely lady. Feeling a bit sad today now. She defied some odds though as apparently when she was diagnosed she was given 18 months.

Been riding. £35. And picked up dms handbag from the saddlers. He has done miracles with it. She was going to bin it but I told her I’d ebay it as it’s 25y old bridge one. But I figured I’d get it repaired first. So £75 later it’s been repaired and buffed and shined and looks in much better condition. She’s going to be so happy tomorrow when we see her.

Unescorted · 01/05/2021 14:06

em that is sad news indeed.
I love vintage leather bags....

North pleased to hear your work is getting better.
DS has been doing the assessments for the last few weeks - they have gone for the teach a bit assess it and move to the next assessment method here.

Today has not turned onto the lazy one planned. The library was open, chocolate brownies (via the shop to get chocolate) made, bathroom has had its everything out resorted and scrubbed to within an inch of its life clean and I have done my run.

DS has been a legend and started cleaning up the dining room and living room while I was library mooching. They are also looking good.

DD has her new department tutor... she is happy. I miss her.

SnugglySnerd · 01/05/2021 17:00

Sorry to hear that Em. 9 years with cancer is a long haul. She sounds very brave.

ememem84 · 01/05/2021 21:17

She was. It’s very sad but at least she’s at peace now. And in a sense I suppose that her family are too. Because it’s happened. So they can grieve. If that makes sense.

SnugglySnerd · 02/05/2021 07:13

Happy LOD Day!
