Snuggly me too. I've had a week off and just enjoyed being mum. I made the mistake of peeking at my emails and now don't want to go back. I've been for a run for the endorphins and looking forward to LOD tonight Smile
Em headache sounds grim, hope you are feeling better soon.

Wolfcub · 18/04/2021 18:16

£17.50 cakes to bring home for us and dparents.
£6 cake and coffee for me whilst out

Has been a nice morning reading and a nice afternoon playing with my camera

We’ve got end of holiday blues too snuggly not helped by knowing tomorrow is a long day with DC swimming after work. I love not going to school!

Ddad still doing better, but my last two visits I’ve only seen him briefly at a distance as he refuses to come to his room (which is where visitors are only allowed to be)

Lovemaltesers · 18/04/2021 18:26

Achievement of the weekend was starting and finishing writing a job application. The closing date isn’t for two weeks. I just decided to get on with it and not agonise over it for days.

SnugglySnerd · 18/04/2021 18:42

Good luck with the application Love.

I am looking forward to LOD too Martha. I can't believe it's been a whole week since the last episode.

I am going to plan something nice to do towards the end of the week so I have something to look forward to.

marthasmum · 18/04/2021 19:09

Well done love that sounds extremely organised.
Good idea re treat snuggly. I’ve just discovered that my £50 just eat voucher has arrived - it was part of the deal when I recently bought a new washing machine. We hardly ever have takeaway so the DC are very excited, especially as I’ve been making them eat the freezer/ cupboard contents before I go shopping. Could be next week’s LOD treat Smile

AmberItsACertainty · 18/04/2021 19:47

Hopefully you remain free from side effects Life

I used to have an allotment Onwards many happy hours spent pottering about in the summer.

I was taking photos as well today Wolf , mostly ducks.
Fingers crossed for the job Love and that your dad continued to improve.

Enjoy the free voucher Martha

I went to the lake today to birdwatch. Jackdaws, magpies, wood pigeons, seagulls, mallards, moorhens including one nesting. £3.40 on a magazine for the pics of Prince Philip and the Queen.

maddenlightfoot · 18/04/2021 19:58

End of holiday blues here too 😞. No inset as a buffer either 😂.

I'm looking forward to LoD and I think Call the Midwife starts tonight? I look forward to it's gentle Sunday-nightness

marthasmum · 18/04/2021 20:01

Yes I feel they have put LOD on Sunday on purpose, to cheer up all the Monday morning workers.
Mind you I used to work shifts and still get excited to have weekends off - that usually offsets Sunday night-itis

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/04/2021 21:20

I'm waiting to watch CTM
We are watching wandavision as a family.

Pleased you had a good day wolf.
Well done love for getting started and good luck.

No side affects yet. Been taking regular paracetamol anyways

ememem84 · 18/04/2021 21:34

I’m onto season 2 of LoD now. Loving it.

SnugglySnerd · 18/04/2021 22:14

Ooh LOD was good. It really does take the edge off a Sunday night!

Mrsmadevans · 18/04/2021 22:36

Omg LOD !!!
I had to go out of the room l was so worried Kate was going to. Die 🙄 l am a bit over invested l think 😱
Thank you North re the bargains 😀
NSD for me again!!!

Bornlazy · 18/04/2021 22:50

LOD was fab. I have to say I'm not 100% sure about what's going on but I get the gist.

Nsd today 🎉

Made banana bread, chocolate cupcakes and coffee cupcakes. I always underestimate just how much time and effort is involved in baking (and clearing up the mess) but everything turned out well, so worth it.

Life hope you stay well.

SingToTheSky · 18/04/2021 22:57

LOD was amazing 😱

SingToTheSky · 18/04/2021 22:57

Glad you’re enjoying what you’ve seen so far em :)

SnugglySnerd · 19/04/2021 03:24

I can't sleep. Have been awake for 2 hours stressing about stuff. Maybe I should work on my LOD theories to take my mind d off things!

Wolfcub · 19/04/2021 06:16

Well done Love
Yay for the stabbyjabby Life, hope you are still feeling ok this morning
LoD was great, hate waiting a week for the next one
Snugly sorry you have back to work stress. Hope today is better than you expect

OP posts:
northender · 19/04/2021 06:44

LoD was indeed fab. I'm like you Born struggling to follow, but enjoying.
Hope you managed to get back to sleep snuggly & that you have a good first day back
Low energy day here yesterday, watched ds play cricket for a bit. 4 days work then long weekend, thank goodness.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2021 07:07

So far so good. Got the punched in the arm feeling and a bit of a stuffy head but the bedroom window was shut last night when it usually isn't

I don't watch lod but CTM was quite depressing IMO.

ememem84 · 19/04/2021 08:22

Productive this morning.

Dishwasher on
Laundry out
Another load on and another two sorted for washing
Dc dressed and had a smidge of breakfast (they’ll have second breakfast with dparents)

Wfh today and dh is I. The office.

I’m in charge of dinner and will try and bake 2 cakes today. Have all the ingredients so will go for it at lunchtime. Both easy so not stressful at all.

Should be nSD today. No plans to go anywhere. I’m not leaving the house today. Not even for a walk. Am sleepy and tired. But might get a nap in the egg chair... 😉

Wolfcub · 19/04/2021 12:51

Very productive Em. I'm making batches of pizza dough in the bread maker when I come downstairs for cups of tea. Hopefully that means a straightforward dinner this evening.

It's lovely and sunny, wish I could work in the garden. I keep trying to warm my feet in the patch of sun coming in the office window

OP posts:
ememem84 · 19/04/2021 14:21

i'm tempted to work from the garden too. but the glare on the laptop....

sesame chickpeas with star fried broccoli and rice for dinner. le yum.

shipsandgiggles · 19/04/2021 16:49

Hi everyone, I’m sorry I haven’t been on. We all got a stomach bug on Friday and are just recovering today. I hope you don’t mind if I just jump back in from here, I have read through your posts but there’s a lot to catch up on I don’t think I could reply to you all!.

ememem84 · 19/04/2021 17:41

Finished the testaments. I nicked off work at 430 and have been sat in the garden reading since then. Wahooo
