Christmas lunch with team. I’m so pissed.

Duck salad. Chicken curry. Porn star martini. And a lot of wine. Home waiting for takeaway pizza.

So nice to be out and not be mum though. I was threatened with every time I mentioned kids a shot of tequila was needed. I managed to dlegate to my assistant. So he’s pushed too. Haha

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/04/2021 19:32

Brilliant em.

Think mine was a jo one. Or good food. It was a bit fried bread on the outside

Unescorted · 16/04/2021 19:39

Felicity Cloake has a frying pan pizza recipe... I will hunt it out.

Ta Dah!

em good work.

I am waiting for dh to finish doing a podcast and DD to get to a natural break in her work so we can serve up dinner. I may have been doing a Keith Floyd style of cooking. Tonight will be an early one.

ememem84 · 16/04/2021 19:49

I’m honestly so pleased with myself. I mean I’m pissed. But not like wine and tequia pissed. Just wine pissed. Waiting for pizza takeaway

Wolfcub · 16/04/2021 20:13

Sounds like a great evening Em

Pizza and nuggets arrived. I am that passed I forgot ordering nugs too. Ffs. That’s another level of pissed. Haha.

It’s one of those evenings where I’m glad I have to sit in with dd. Ha. So quiet. So still.

marthasmum · 16/04/2021 20:31

Good for you Em! Part of my frugality tonight is going to be finishing off half a bottle of leftover Xmas mulled wine.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/04/2021 20:35

Love it passed takeaway ordering. Stay away from eBay.... No drunk bargains

It’s be like that time I bid on a canoe. Luckily I lost the auction. True story.
AmberItsACertainty · 16/04/2021 22:30

Have fun at the birthday camping trip Wolf. I like the idea of burning the divorce paperwork Grin

Mrs loving your tkmaxx haul.

Today I avoided spending £91 on fireproof overalls by sourcing second hand worn once for £17 Halo and sold a bag load of clothes for £5

Gensola · 16/04/2021 22:53

Haha em so pleased you had a good night!
I am sober and in bed with my kindle Grin

Unescorted · 17/04/2021 07:19

Amber I am intrigued by the need for fireproof overalls.

em hope you have woken up without a hangover.

This weekend is a mad one of taking dd to visit grannies before she pootles back. Lots of driving and hoping the weather will stay dry.

SnugglySnerd · 17/04/2021 07:28

Hope you are feeling ok this morning Em. I am reminded of the time I was so drunk I ordered Dominoes online and chose every single topping. Luckily dh noticed and reminded me I am a vegetarian before I paid!

ememem84 · 17/04/2021 07:36

I went to bed at about 830 last night. Drank another litre of water and a tea. And although I had a drunk sleep (where I felt I was awake most of the night but wasn’t) I’ve woken up feeling fine.

Riding today £35.

Spends yesterday £20 on pizza. Lunch was paid for by work. As were the drinks.

The rest of the crew stayed out until 10. And there are some serious headaches this morning.

Wolfcub · 17/04/2021 07:41

Morning, hope everyone has a lovely day. I'm off to get my eyebrows out into order.

em one of those moments when having to leave early "because of the children" is a godsend.

SnugglySnerd · 17/04/2021 11:24

Just been out for a walk. What an absolutely beautiful morning! It might be time to put the thermals away...

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/04/2021 15:30

I did outdoor aerobics and it's was lovely

AmberItsACertainty · 17/04/2021 16:05

wolf I'm imagining enormous hairy caterpillars taking over your entire face Grin

Glad you had a good evening em

Unescorted it's ok I'm not an arsonist Grin they're for welding, you can set yourself on fire with the sparks otherwise. Now have Prodigy twisted firestarter song in my head.

Outdoor aerobics sounds fun life.

Snuggly I've got lovely weather too. I should go for a walk.

Today I've done nothing much after a sleepless night, just bimbling around. NSD.

Unescorted · 17/04/2021 16:24

I am going down a nosey rabbit hole here.... tell me to shut up / go away. Amber what are you welding?

Wolfcub · 17/04/2021 16:33

Lost a long post. Also curious about the welding.

Spendy day £15 beautician and £275 new garden furniture- technically this is covered half by insurance payout last year and half by a voucher which was a refund for something that arrived damaged

Been for a long walk. Now filthy as accidentally stepped in a very splashy bog. Going to christen new furniture with a beer with a friend in a bit

OP posts:
SnugglySnerd · 17/04/2021 16:57

I am also filthy as we spent the afternoon scrubbing down the patio, steps etc outside. I should have come in and got changed but I've been sitting in the garden with a beer enjoying the sunshine!

Mrsmadevans · 17/04/2021 19:19

Glad you weren't hungover Em it sounds as if you had the most brilliant night Smile
Wolf well done! enjoy the beer Smile
Snuggly great job enjoy the beer Smile am wondering if you are the friend of Wolf and you don't realise you are both on here Grin
Amber thank you Smile did l hear right welding ? Grin great stuff!
Life am being nosy here but l tried to see how much it was for the hire of a campervan and l was inundated with emails /phone calls & mail , l had a job to get rid of them , pray tell how much is it for hiring if you wouldn't mind please Smile
NSD today
We all watched Prince Phillips funeral which was very moving and somehow just right Smile
Now watching the FA cup Semi final with Dh, he supports Southampton and is desperate for them to win tomorrow ! Grin Hmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/04/2021 20:23

I've been quoted around £380 for 3 days in june

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/04/2021 20:24

I thought the funeral seemed perfect for the person he appeared to be.
