Friend has transferred her share of our weekend away into my bank account, left my wallet in bf's car so today will definitely be a NSD Smile

Trading Dunnes vouchers with my friend at work to push out grocery shop until next Monday evening, I don't have room for shopping now or Wednesday and I just refuse to do the grocery shop with dc in tow!

Thanks for new thread. Will try to keep up.

Happierwithouthim · 10/03/2020 07:51

The hysteria of stocking up hasn't hit my local shops yet. Told shopkeeper about the empty shelves in other parts of the country she couldn't believe it!

Did spend yesterday €13.50 on big tub of ice cream & allens pine cough mixture. No one has a cough but I haven't seen it in years & it's great stuff to have in.

Had a spendy day yesterday.

£50 on boots and trainers for dc,£5 on a pe top,£11 on some organic oil and some veg.

And £15 on brekkie out with ds.

Now going to hide my purse for the next week

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 10/03/2020 08:05

Ive still got a temp but think I feel marginally better, will ring the drs today for advice. Am assuming they won't want me going down there and spreading germs everywhere!

At least being ill is frugal, not spent any money since Saturday!

Eye is still watering. Am persevering with drops but have successfully wiped all of my eyeliner off on my “wet” eye. Look like something out of a clockwork orange. Ffs.

Waiting at tax office at present. I messed up my tax form. Ffs.

Happierwithouthim · 10/03/2020 12:48

Ffs email from purchasers solicitor, ex h didn't clear out shed as he said he would and now she's hiring contractor and skip to do so and invoicing us for it, I don't blame the purchaser one tiny bit but I took 3 days off work to sort out the house and he didn't keep up his end of the bargain so he can be bloody paying for this now.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 10/03/2020 14:18

But in reality its going to come out of proceeds of house and I've zero chance of recovering this money from him AngryAngry

Hi everyone. Can I join? I plan to spend nothing other than on essentials for a month from today. I bought lots of clothes in the hope of finding something comfortable that fits so I'm absolutely skint now. Today so far has been a no spend day and I hope to keep it that way.
I am wondering if I can justify some noise cancelling earplugs as an essential purchase though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/03/2020 17:14

Hello unlikely. Did you keep the clothes? Did they meet your brief?
As for the headphone why do you need then and can you afford them?

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/03/2020 17:15

Damnit. I will need clothes as won't be able to go to work in gym kit as much.
