Thank you mrsmad 💐yes I get confused with the tagging thing too lol

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2020 21:31

That's ok Mrs. I know you meant lane

ememem84 · 18/02/2020 21:35

Discovery!!!!

Coop tomato and basil tortilla wraps. Oh god they’re yummy. We had posh fish finger wraps for dinner. With spicy mayo and avocado and salad. Delish. The tomatoey wraps just made it.

Also. Is anyone else sad about the death of Caroline flack? I’m quite sad about it. I didn’t know her. She didn’t know me. But it hit me a bit. Maybe just because she’s about my age. (Ish)

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2020 22:06

I think it's sad that sometime feels they have no other option. Poor lass.

MummySharn · 18/02/2020 22:13

I do feel sad about it @ememem84, it’s sad she didn’t feel she could talk to anyone

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 18/02/2020 23:01

Hi all, not caught up yet but thought I better check in. We've had a nice few days in Southampton catching up with friends, I went to uni there and have still got lots of friends in the area.

Not too spendy as have mostly been fed by kind friends! Journey up and back was rubbish as the weather was so awful.

Anyway day off tomorrow and then I'm back to work. Dd has been super hormonal and grumpy so that's been fun Hmm

SnugglySnerd · 19/02/2020 08:27

Just checked bank balance which was better than I expected but then saw the credit card bill which wasn't so good. March will be a struggle I think.

Wolfcub · 19/02/2020 09:07

Sounds like a great break Girlie. I hear you on the hormonal teenager bit we have some of that going on here too

Cinema today £7.70 with meetcat code. Then it's the ice cream parlour with friends so about £14 there and will pick up dinner from the heat and eat place as I have a craving for good curry and it will be 50% less than takeaway

Just saw my bank app and that sliced pan was charged at €1.35, I never buy bread in local shops anymore, so it was double what they charge in Dunnes for own brand bread.

€526.65 landed in my account from df's vat claim.

MummySharn · 19/02/2020 10:36

Soft play today so will spend quite a bit of the kids want snacks there

Ivegotnothing · 19/02/2020 12:03

Hello, everyone. I've not checked in for a while and my frittering has gone through the roof! I have read all your updates and am inspired again. I have started a new notebook to list everything and hopefully shame myself into stopping silly spends (who doesn't love a good notebook).
I hope you have all been safe from the storms.
Yesterday was £100 at the vets (yet more antibiotics for ddogs urine infection) and £310 on zooplus pet food order today...sob.

Lovemaltesers · 19/02/2020 12:23

DP decided to turn the heating right down while we were away overnight. Came home early without stopping off somewhere as DD1 still feeling unwell and chilly. House was 14 degrees. Heating now on and still only 15.3 degrees. Brrrr.

Happierwithouthim · 19/02/2020 17:46

Hope it's warmed up love how's dd?

Mrsmadevans · 19/02/2020 17:51

Afternoon everyone Smile
Been to town, spent 12 in Savers and 6 in Tesco. Bought tickets for my Friends birthday for her & her Dad to see Owen Money £34 they love him Grin
Weather has been ok here but it gives a bad day of rain tomorrow so we shall have to see, fingers crossed Smile

Lovemaltesers · 19/02/2020 17:54

She’s just laid on the sofa all afternoon happier. Think she got a chill, and tiredness has caught up with her too. House finally hit a decent temperature about 4pm. DP has a streaming cold but didn’t dare complain about the cold 😂 Hot baths all round tonight.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 19/02/2020 17:54

Coop, £22. Used around £5 points towards it.
Embarking on three night shifts. When these are done I’m off for nine days so will have nice weekend with partner then off up to North East for a week to stay with my mother. My best friend is coming too and we plan a relaxing pottering time.
Have sorted through stores and found some things to donate to food bank. They urgently need milk powder and I have quite a lot. Also some hot dogs and some tinned fruit I don’t think we will eat.

Lovemaltesers · 19/02/2020 17:57

Great news the money has arrived happier, that’s one thing sorted

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 19/02/2020 18:00

NSD.

Glad it warmed up for you all love, it is chilly.

Lovemaltesers · 19/02/2020 18:00

Has anyone tried gruum shampoo bars? I’ve got a code for a free bar (worth £8) but delivery is £3.95 unless you spend £10.

The code was in my perkbox account if anyone else has an account.

Wolfcub · 19/02/2020 18:21

Love I hope dd feels better soon

£12.50 Starbucks for two paninis, tea and a wnaky hot chicolate which I'm not sure ds enjoyed

£15 dessert place for two special waffle desserts, three teas and a water

£15.80 carry out place for dinner which I'm cooking now. Generous portions and smells good so happy so far.

Ds spending day with h tomorrow. First time in h's accommodation. It's been nearly two years since they saw each other not in a public place. I am on edge. I will be cleaning, bouncing off the walls and trying to think up competency examples for my job application

MummySharn · 19/02/2020 18:31

Hope your DD feels better soon @Lovemaltesers

£7 spent on entry to soft play
£7 spent of some chips and a drink for the three of us. Not too bad. We are going to the sea life centre tomorrow which will probably dent the bank

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 19/02/2020 18:31

Wolf, we got you Flowers

Lovemaltesers · 19/02/2020 18:32

Wow, can’t believe it’s been almost two years wolf. Not surprising you are anxious. Will this then lead to overnights etc? Your DS is about 14?

MummySharn · 19/02/2020 18:33

My two don’t see their dad @Wolfcub so I can imagine you’re anxious. How is your son feeling about it?

Wolfcub · 19/02/2020 18:54

Thanks all. Ds is very happy about it and will no doubt tell me about it in endless detail tomorrow evening to the extent I will want to bang my head on the wall. H wants him overnight and I will eventually have to give in to that, I said no to an overnight this week on the basis Ds had never been to the house. So This is the consequence of that conversation and the build up.
