lane I use redken all soft oil. I only wash my hair twice a week.

No there weren’t these issues when C started. But in the last 3 months they’ve been taken over by a uk company (Busy Bees).

I fully expected for Dd to get sick as mixing with new kids equals new germs etc.

But. This is a bit ridiculous. It’s not making the transition back to work easy. I’ve emailed to ask for a chat with the manager and baby room leader. It’s not to have a go or to make excuses. Just to find out what’s going on. Because I can’t take time off work willy nilly.

Obviously if dc were ill it’d be different. But they’re not.

The cream is frustrating. They’re not saying they won’t use it. Just that it has to be a specific non nut oil not medicated one. So have to find that. Or ask them which to use.

I also need to insist on Dd having a communications book as she doesn’t currently have one (on order but not yet arrived).

I want to know who’s been changing her and why they think she’s had diarrhoea. Surely if she had it’s been obvious and she’d continue to have it?

Anyway. Rant over. Will get it sorted.

Happierwithouthim · 15/02/2020 10:50

Will do lane I'm afraid that time will be in March !!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/02/2020 11:26

I agree em they are being over zealous. I world send for a sniffle as if you keep them off for every little thing they won't be there. Ditto the cream thing. Sounds bonkers.

Great on the settlement happier. It's a new horizon for you now. But yy take time to say goodbye. There will be some good memories in that house too. As there will be in your new house.

Enjoy half term teachers. I've got the week off but an interview to prep.

Lane it's difficult when money is tight. I do give extra but we can afford it. I also teach saving your money too and if you can't afford you can't have.
I see no harm in adding a few extra chores in the holidays if you are giving extra. Teaches the work/ earnings correlation

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/02/2020 11:28

Off to Newcastle today for girlie lunch. Train ok so far but soaked getting to station. £16 return.
£20 lunch plus drinks I've budget

Happierwithouthim · 15/02/2020 12:58

Decluttering is going strong, stair gate given away free just now

Dining room table has kitchenware laid out on it whatever h doesn't want will be boxed up for charity later on.

Enjoy lunch & day life

Lovemaltesers · 15/02/2020 13:34

I’ve just added writing a job app for things to do today as DP is going out tonight. I really hope NHS jobs remembers most of my info for next time as it’s taking ages. A bit of a speculative application, but they want four people. So they might be desperate 😂

Our printer isn’t working. Hoping it can be fixed but we’ve been using non manufacturer ink in it.

Nurseries can be a nightmare em. A slight bit of a temp, and they would send my DD2 home. But she was never actually ill. Hopefully they might calm down more once they know your DD better?

Lovemaltesers · 15/02/2020 13:36

I would always send my DDs in with a sniffle (but not properly ill). If I have to go to work with a sniffle, then they needed to go to childcare.

Lovemaltesers · 15/02/2020 13:37

So happy things are moving forward for you happier

Happierwithouthim · 15/02/2020 14:17

Thanks love
€52.50 on parts for boiler but can return those I don't need.
€19.13 in Lidl - went in for two bags of pasta, came out with those plus 4 ready cooked salmon fillets, bag of kindling, nasturtium seeds(ds), two packs of protein balls, granary roll, a doughnut, two cupcakes & giant cookie!!

Happierwithouthim · 15/02/2020 15:44

€12 McDonald's

Wolfcub · 15/02/2020 16:00

Great things are moving forward Happier

Em I would be pretty annoyed at that from nursery too

Love try googling your printer model for cleaning instructions, mine didn't work a while ago so I ran the enhanced cleaning cycles three or four times and it's fine now. Good luck with the application

Life enjoy your day on the Toon

Lane a hair oil makes all the difference to mine. I use Scwartzkopf oil Ultime

Thanks for all the good wishes. I have read everything I just banned myself from posting because I have not been in the best of moods. Fingers crossed storm Dennis does not cause similar problems this weekend

Next step of divorce paperwork dropped to solicitor on Valentine's Day Grin
Lots spent - £20 flood bags, lots on cleaning stuff, takeaway and £23 on dinner with friends

£60 Sainsbury's yesterday but included £30 of present for someone and stuff fo lunches/picnics for a few days of half term. £17 ds haircut this morning £18 breakfast out before he went to see h this morning

Bank account looking very sad but unexpected expenses and all that. Will have to transfer some from savings to get through to the end of the month.

£40 lunch and drinks, going home now Dennis has hit.

Fingers crossed wolf you are not flooded again.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 15/02/2020 19:07

Hi all.
em that seems very petty of the nursery, and I work in one, a state one but still. We don't have babies, our youngest are the 2 year olds, who I work with, then the 3 and 4 year olds.
Our policy is; if a child needs to have medication, including nappy creams it needs to be prescribed by a Dr. We then get the parents to sign a form and that's it really.
Obviously there are children with medical conditions that need to have cream applied/ medication administered at regular intervals, they will have a care plan that is all agreed with the parents, Senco and the key person.
Good luck with the interview prep life.
Love, likewise, good luck with the application.

I'm really going to enjoy the half term, I'm so knackered! Need to do a bit of work over the break, but should only be a few hours.

Happier sounds super exciting! Hope the dcs are looking forward to the next chapter?
Wolf, glad to 'see' you, hope everything is getting sorted and fingers crossed you won't be hit by this storm 🤞

Happierwithouthim · 15/02/2020 19:27

They really are curvy we said farewell to our hen today & the lovely man who took her said I can have her back when I get set up again if I want so sweet.

Wolf you should have vented here we're all here for each other

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 15/02/2020 19:38

Happier that is very sweet! Glad the dcs are excited.

Yy wolf vent away

SnugglySnerd · 15/02/2020 21:19

Good to see you Wolf, I hope the floods miss you this weekend.

Lovemaltesers · 15/02/2020 21:33

Good to see you back wolf

Tried lots of cleaning cycles on the printer. Printing but with big stripes of white across. New printer reserved for collection tomorrow £79.99 (DP wants a laser jet not inkjet) but should be able to purchase some reduced gift vouchers via work.

My experience for this job app is probably not strong enough but giving it a go. I used to do a much more relevant job for the main part of it than now. Nowadays i mostly run about like a headless chicken first thing sorting problems and eat too much 😂

Oh my goodness Mrs is that your garden?

That is so scary! Take care my lovely x
