Thanks Fear

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2020 06:17

£60 in also yesterday but that's the shopping done except mid week top up of fruit and veg. Miracle it's so low but the cupboard and freezers are rammed. £2 50 breakfast.

Lovely Tatt's. I've always wanted one but I faint at needle pain. . Needles and injections dont bother me but the sensation sets off a faint.

Happierwithouthim · 01/02/2020 07:12

Great going Lane it took me until I was 34 to get my 30th birthday tattoo as I didn't know what I wanted & I think I was probably 24 when I got my one for my 21st!!

Spends yesterday
€22 takeaway, should be some leftover for dc to have for supper this evening, I said should I wasn't there when they finished eating so I don't know
€3 on water & coffee from vending machine at hospital
€45 on wood pellets

Agreed to rent a house for €800 monthly from 21st Feb. Am going to take the money as 0% transfer from my cc for deposit as still waiting on revenue to refund my fathers vat which he has gifted to me.

northender · 01/02/2020 07:36

Happy birthday for yesterday curvy
Great job on the promotion interview life, good luck with it.
Thank goodness it's the end of the working weeks for us, it's been a tough one. Nothing much planned for the weekend. 2 weeks to go to the holiday, so I'm going to try to plan 2 weeks of meals designed to run down our supplies & only buy fresh food & whatever extras are needed for the meal plan.
I need to complete our budget spreadsheet for January. I think we did pretty well.
We've just had our annual mortgage statement through & I now have a login so that I can access the figure owed throughout the year rather than once a year, so that's good.

Wolfcub · 01/02/2020 08:18

£117 ocado delivery last night.

I've still not had my 40th birthday tattoo. Might get around to it before I'm 45

Thinking of emptying out cupboards in kitchen today so that we can start using up stuff rather than moving it to next house.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 01/02/2020 08:59

Happy belated bday curvy!

Interesting re the tattoo chat, one of my friends at the spa has this amazing tattoo that is all beautiful colours. I didn't even know tattoos like that existed! She said it took 6 hours so must have been £££. I'm much too much of a wimp to get one!!

Ystd was a lsd £1 to dd for sweets.

Today I need to go into town for dds bday presents, it's a week tomorrow and I'm not feeling very organised.

I'm feeling really sad about leaving the EU. Seems so unfair on dd who won't have all the same rights and freedoms to work and travel in Europe that I've taken for granted 😓

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2020 09:14

£53 on cheeky wipes washable sanitary ware. Really recommend them for customer service and the pants/ liners.

Shoes for DS today.

LaneBoy · 01/02/2020 10:03

I’m losing my virginity on the inside of my right arm curvy :o It’s just two words (“for now”) from a twenty one pilots lyric that means a lot to me (I love them, hence my name :o) so won’t look exciting etc, I won’t even share it on FB I think.

Being brave and sharing my other design 😳 the phoenix itself, not the whole thing. I drew it on myself so I could copy it for Inktober and then thought ok actually yes I want that! One day 😅 (probably immediately after the first one, since I hear they get addictive 🤣)

I love cheekywipes life DD and I both have their period pants. I have pads from them too but TBH I don’t get on with cloth pads as I find they move around too much?! 😳 I use them with an Organicup, DD uses them with usual disposable pads. I need to get more of the sports ones for me though as they have more protection. I was intrigued by the thread about the new Sainsbury’s ones but they don’t look any better or cheaper.

I’m so sleepy but I’ll have the house pretty much to myself soon so I’m going to laze and watch more Sex Education series 2. So funny 😂 got loads on my watch list at the moment.

Wolfcub · 01/02/2020 11:24

Thanks to a lovely young man at Halfords I have (at least temporarily) fixed a problem with my car at no cost. I usually avoid said company like the plague but he might just have restored my faith in humanity a bit

Love that idea for a tattoo Lane, I need someone to draw mine as I don't have your talent

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/02/2020 11:31

Thanks north andgirlie.

I've wanted tattoos since I was 15, got my first one when I was 25, the next two when I was 31 and the one I put up yesterday when I was 36. I want more and I need to recover one (ex's name! Never ever get a spouse's name!)
lane I really like your Phoenix and was thinking about something like that to cover ex's name.
lane, I don't think it has to look exciting, as long as it is what you want and it means something to you, that is all that matters.

ChristmasSeacow · 01/02/2020 11:39

I am obviously in the minority here as I would never have a tattoo! Just don’t like them much... no offence meant to anyone.

So glad I’ve managed to stagger to the weekend. DS is having a really tricky regression at the moment and is having quite severe continence issues - I will spare you all the details as it’s not very nice Sad. But I feel as though my life is falling apart and I have no idea what to do about DS. There’s just basically no help or support with behaviour issues that are not an issue in school. I might not post for a while as it’s not really for here and between that and stupid working hours I feel completely consumed by negative things. There’s not much fun to be had in life atm, just a lot of worry and stress!

I’ll try not to completely fall off the frugal and diet wagons though.

ChristmasSeacow · 01/02/2020 11:40

And I’ll keep reading!

Taytocrisps · 01/02/2020 11:44

Seacow I'm sorry to hear about DS's regression. And that you feel you've nowhere to turn to for support Sad. Take a break from posting if it helps. But don't worry if you feel it's not on topic. We all post about non-frugal things from time to time.

ememem84 · 01/02/2020 11:56

lane love the Phoenix!!

I also want to get catfaces paw print on my other wrist. Which apparently is totally doable. But I’d need to get a print of her paw first...she won’t like that.

LaneBoy · 01/02/2020 12:21

Oh sea I’m sorry. That sounds incredibly rough let alone the work pressure on top. Don’t feel like you can’t post negative stuff here. Don’t know if you’re on FB but there are some groups that would be good to get specific support - it’s easy to forget there are others in the same boat. You aren’t alone, promise ❤️. Always on the end of a PM too, any time. Xx

Em love the idea of a paw print! I have wondered in the past about getting a tattoo from a photo of when DS wrote love you (but in cute small child spelling) on my arm. I love tattoos of real stuff!

Oh god, I’m going to get addicted now aren’t I. Once you’ve had one... 😳🤣

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/02/2020 12:46

Sea please post if it helps Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2020 13:17

SnugglySnerd · 01/02/2020 13:22

Your drawing is amazing, Lane! Wish I could draw.

Take care Sea, sorry things are tough. Please post if it helps you.

Top up shop this morning was best part of 60 quid! That included some fresh chicken for to tomorrow, a lot of fruit and veg and then I went IN Aldi and stocked up on nuts, seeds, wraps, snacks etc. So quite a big top up!

Wolfcub · 01/02/2020 13:31

Sea do whatever helps you whether that's posting about what's going on with ds or not. You can't phase us and we're all here to support each other through whatever tough times we face

I am having a lazy day, second load of washing on. Have washed some new weevil-proof containers so I can have oats that don't move Envyand have tried to find room in the freezer for some of last night's shopping as I had forgotten that I was away with work at the start of next week.

I've nearly cleaned out the last of h's drawers, the attic is still rammed and there's a cupboard and a couple of shelves in the office with some bits in but I feel like I'm getting there.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2020 14:09

Sorry, oats that don't move is not funny wolf but it did make me giggle.
Sea, do what feels right to you but I echo the others, we are right hear for you negative or not.
Food and frugal are hard enough without other stresses but can be so interlinking.

Thanks for the interview wishes. Just submitted another app today too. I will get a bloody promotion this year.
£56 Sainsbury's but £30 on a voucher as DS got a valentine for his gf.
Love the phoenix. One of the vet nurses had a paw print inside her wrist to remember her doggo.

Lovemaltesers · 01/02/2020 14:18

Flowers sea

CurlsandCurves · 01/02/2020 15:29

@ChristmasSeacow please keep posting here if it helps as a place to vent. I can’t imagine the pressure you must be under at the moment.

If anyone is in need of new makeup, Maybelline have a brilliant offer on at Superdrug, 2 items for £12. I really needed new eyeshadow but had been putting it off, scraping the last bits out of my old palette. The one I’ve just bought was £11.99 on its own so I got a new eyebrow pencil too and between the 2 saved almost £9.
