Helped Dm declutter her wardrobe this afternoon. Got rid of a bin bag and a half. She gave me a mustard yellow jumper (my current fave colour) its a size too big but it nice and slouchy and a small cross body bag by the bridge. Lovely old tan/brown leather. Probably around 20 years old.

I ask took another one of her brown leather bags. Probably older than me. And will take it to the saddlers to see if they can fix it. It’s a long shot but they might be able to do something.

Tomorrow I’m going to sort our wardrobe. And work out what if anything I need. I think only maybe socks and tights.

Ds picked his own outfit for tomorrow. Cherry red chinos. A grey T-shirt with a bear on it. And green socks. He was helping me get his nursery bag ready. And pulled out the trousers. I don’t think he’s worn them yet.... the T-shirt he chose by me pulling g a few from his wardrobe and letting him choose from a selection. He even got a nappy out and put it on the pile.

Pizza for dinner here too.

Tomorrow is going to be a stay home and do chores until nursery pick up time day.

Hi all.

Thank you all again for your wonderful support, it means a lot.
And Flowers to all of you or your loved ones who have/are suffering xx.

Yesterday was a NSD, yay! First one in ages.
Today spends
£19 on a yellow top for me and dd2 and some jeans for her.
Tomorrow is mental health awareness day and her school have asked for them to wear yellow in support of young minds and have asked for donations.
My work are having our health and wellbeing day, so I will be sporting a mustard yellow top!

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/10/2019 21:31

There is a wellbeing day at work tomorrow here. Didn't know about wearing yellow though.
£17 Chinese takeaway.

Girliefriendlikescake · 09/10/2019 22:27

My dd has to wear something yellow tomorrow as well 🌻

Busy day here, work is full on and had the last puppy class tonight.

Think it's been a nsd today, Ystd £6 on posting a few bits.

Here's a pic of my lovely puppy, I have turned into a complete puppy bore and manage to turn most conversations in rl round to talking about him 🤣🤣

Omg girlie he’s gorgeous!!!

I think Dd has/is still getting over a cold or she’s just being annoying on purpose so fussy tonight. I’ve slept off and on but she’s waving her arms about and whimpering. Only really happy when she’s being held and is a bit snuffly.

I’m annoyed (and utterly unreasonable) because Sunday she slept pretty much all night. And the same on Monday. Last night and tonight have been hell in comparison.

Why don’t babies come with instructions?!?!

I’ve been internet window shopping. Filling baskets and not buying. But lusting after things. Bad.

Today I need to pay our house insurance £397 and parish rates which I remembered the other week but have since forgotten to pay. £414.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/10/2019 06:31

Ah gorgeous girlie

Sleep deprivation sucks em. Sounds like a cold if she is sniffly.

Wolfcub · 10/10/2019 06:34

He’s gorgeous Girlie

Life cakes look fabulous

Em maybe try and nap with her on the sofa a bit today

ememem84 · 10/10/2019 06:36

Double trouble here. Snuffly and farty. She went back to sleep. And woke up about an hour ago squealing. I picked her up and she let out some wicked farts. She’s had a bit of bottle and is now asleep. Send coffee.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 10/10/2019 06:42

Aww em, she is lovely! Hopefully you will be able to nap together.
Sending a bucket load of coffee your way.

maddenlightfoot · 10/10/2019 07:33

For curvy and everyone today 🌻 xx

Em she is an absolute beauty! And looks so comfy and content - hope you get some equal 💤💤 today!

The spends keep coming this month - school trip letter and option for dd to go to panto with Beavers. In fact, there seem to be lots of costs this month for things happening in November and December. Hoping that means N&D will be cheaper when the time comes!

ememem84 · 10/10/2019 07:46

Not the best pic really. But she is lovely isn’t she?? THis ones much better 😀

ememem84 · 10/10/2019 08:49

So far so good - dh and ds off to work and nursery on the bus (no poop slips today!!), Dd is napping in her basket (one end propped up and I’ve opened the window a bit for fresh air), I’ve had breakfast and am on my second cup of tea, have stripped ds’ bed and put the bedding in the wash, catface has been fed and is currently bouncing round the garden.

Today’s jobs:

  • pay insurance and rates
  • laundry - put it away and get as much as I can washed and out on the line and dry
  • tidy wardrobe
  • think about where to put dds cot
  • lower ds’ cot to the lowest height. If I can find the Alan key.
Girliefriendlikescake · 10/10/2019 16:51

£64 in Aldi, got lots for that and it should last a good 10 days.

Worked extra today so should be another £70 in the pay packet towards Christmas.

ememem84 · 10/10/2019 17:24

At gym. Waiting for trainer. Dh has Dd at work with him. Ds at nursery. Dh will do pick up and I’ll meet him there. Wooo.

Then home for dinner.

Must get ds’ swimming things ready tomorrow.

moimichme · 10/10/2019 17:25

Spends:

£1 rolls for lunches tomorrow
£3.85 coffee with a lovely work colleague
£8 ish for the Brexit stash at Iceland

Then found out late this afternoon that DH work location is shutting down sometime in 2020 and he has the option to move to a different location (sadly he already commutes nearly 2 hours each way, and this is even further...) on a new shift pattern. Must decide in the next week. FFS.

We do have friends who live kind of nearby the new location, so maybe he could go part-time and stay with them a few days a week, then come home for 3-4 nights. Grasping at straws here. It might make more sense for him just to quit, but with Brexit looming it seems not very sensible to do that just now. Sigh.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 10/10/2019 18:28

Thanks madden. Hope everyone had a good day too!
Pic of me and dd2 in all our yellow glory!
I spoke to mind at work today and got some useful info, so that was good.
It was a really good day actually.
Spends today £2.50 on chickpea curry at work, it was delish!

Friendly frugaleers as the leaves fall our bank balances will rise, hopefully!
WreckTangled · 10/10/2019 21:37

£20 on dinner out for colleagues retirement. Dh paid. I had steak with a rocket and Parmesan salad.

Wolfcub · 10/10/2019 21:47

Spends today £10 ds school trip and £3 ds evening activity

maddenlightfoot · 10/10/2019 21:51

I wore my yellow too curvy! Ah lovely photo of you and your dd. How's she getting on this week? x

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 10/10/2019 22:34

Madden, you are too kind, it is lovely photo of dd, me not so much! Hope you had a good day? I saw lots of people wearing yellow today and it was nice because we all gave each other knowing looks or nods, and these were complete strangers.
Madden, she seems ok.
I'm meeting the play therapist on Monday to go over the paperwork, so things are moving along well, dd2 knows that she can talk about anything to me and also knows that she can call childline too.
Thank you for asking x

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/10/2019 06:23

Looking good curvy.
£100 food shop yesterday, £1.50 cake for MH day, £2.50 breakfast = greedy, £2 millets, £17 pharmacy.

Nsd planned today. Cakes for the stables for tomorrow.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 11/10/2019 06:33

Aww thanks life.

Our lovely Senco is leaving us, so we are going out for a meal tonight, should be about £30, including travel.

I'm pretty tired, dd1 messaged me last night, she wasn't feeling so great, didn't get to bed till 1.
So coffee is needed a lot more this morning!

ememem84 · 11/10/2019 06:52

Morning all. Awful night. Dd slept until 530 but was snuggling and wriggling around in her basket and grunting a lot in her sleep. I’m a bit of a light sleeper....so heard everything.

Swimming today with ds. Then maybe a nap.

Mil sent this for Dd. It’s honestly the most ridiculous thing ever. I love it though.

Wolfcub · 11/10/2019 08:26

Hair today which will be £43. Supposed to be going for flu jab but Lloyd’s are being utter shite. Need to buy a card and put money in it for a party da is going to.

CurlsandCurves · 11/10/2019 08:59

@ememem84 love the outfit! I know it’s frowned upon these days but a grunty sniffly DS1 went into his own room at 5 weeks because I couldn’t sleep with all his noise.

Finally got round to taking 3 old phones to CEX to see if I could get anything for them. £130! I’ve not spent anything on clothes for myself for ages so celebrated with 2 new jumpers from M&S, they’ve got some gorgeous ones in at the moment.

Top up shop with my mum later. I’m really into making soup at the moment so need some more veg.
