I didn't do any sweets or crisps, they'd food followed by cake followed by ice pop & then a party bag going home

Budget paperwork done for mortgage application. This was a doddle with my monthly budget all written down

I found my life insurance paperwork so that and house insurance paperwork have been sent to the mortgage advisor.

Ironing done and packing for being away with work tomorrow.

Sorted more paperwork, have found the evidence that shows (sort of) that I put significantly more money into the property to start with. I can't find the evidence that shows I took some of h's debt into my name, I think that will have been in his statements which he doesn't keep AngryI think I can also show that I've ended up with debts which were always in my name but which were accrued jointly. I don't necessarily think I'll need these things but I'd rather know where they are. I've also looked into potentially arranging a solicitor appointment.

Need to arrange some house valuations too

ememem84 · 10/11/2019 12:57

Sooooo I tried some vegan baking. Meringue. Used aqua faba instead of egg whites.

Might have to give this another go sometime after I’ve cleaned and degunked the oven

@ememem84 how did it taste?

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 10/11/2019 18:13

Nice day here, watched the remembrance ceremony this morning and took the dog for a long walk this afternoon.

Stopped at pets at home and spent nearly £40, the dog needed a warm coat so got him a nice one on the proviso it will last him a few years. Also needed dog food and a few chews etc, I asked my mum if she'd mind helping a bit with the cost of the dog bits and she said she would.

I also popped into dun elm and spent £15 on a mat for the front door, some cheap smelly candles and scissors.

Happierwithouthim · 10/11/2019 19:30

Used instant pot to make this soup today
Had all the ingredients & it served 3 plus 2 portions for lunches.

Happierwithouthim · 10/11/2019 19:43

Wolf is mortgage to buy ex out or to purchase alone? Sorry if you've said I just don't remember

Wolfcub · 10/11/2019 19:46

Happier to buy him out if I have to

Happierwithouthim · 10/11/2019 20:22

Perfect, so on this thread Tayto wolf & curvy all got to stay in family home #girlpower I've stayed in family home but chose for it to be sold because he's right next door I would never have peace

LivingInLaputa · 10/11/2019 21:14

Ugh next door to your ex. Noooo.

I was collecting used board books on eBay for Cagletini’s Christmas present but I’ve decided to do them as an advent calendar instead as I keep seeing the idea on FB. I won’t wrap them as she won’t care and that is a lot of paper! But she can have one a day until Christmas Eve while the others have the usual chocolate. That’s a lot of books :o (I won’t struggle to choose that many Blush she just wants to be read to AAAALLLLLL DAY). She will have a few toys to open on the day anyway (also mostly used from FB)

I started meds today. :o

ememem84 · 10/11/2019 21:26

The cooked bits of meringue tasted ok. Maybe not enough sugar used. Will try again at some point though.

Dinner was yum. Dh made a plant based cottage pie, and a pina colada style dessert. Dparents and dsis came for dinner. They all ate it and said how yum it was. Ddad has no idea the cottage pie had no meat....

Tomorrow I am going to channel hulk and put dds cot up. And I’m buying a cat flap.

Advent books sounds like an amazing idea cag we’ve bought ds a fireman Sam calendar. Dsis is doing a Christmas Eve box for us. So kind.

She’s staying with us on Christmas Eve I think, or will at least be here for the evening. We’re going to take the kiddos to church and let ds ring the bells. I’ve never done it so I’m super excited to try it!

Tomorrow I’m also going to get my notebook out and make a list of all the house jobs I/we have to do. All are probably half hour jobs max. It’s just finding the time.

userxx · 10/11/2019 21:56

@ememem84 Random question but is your oven a Samsung one?

Happierwithouthim · 10/11/2019 22:17

I napped a lot of the afternoon & now I'm in bed & not very tired Grin

Lap great idea - I've got a refillable advent calendar, must get my thinking cap on

Em Grin at your dad not knowing

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/11/2019 06:27

Morning! Life I am so motivated by a work lunch 😁! Hope you have a good day and swerve any spending temptation.

We've had a good weekend - lots of snuggling round the fire and under blankets due to broken boiler and appreciating the silver linings!

Frugally, I've managed to re-jig a few present stash gifts to make up two secret Santa presents and a birthday present. I almost started wrapping at the weekend but just ran out of time (but still managed to eat the mince pies I bought to eat whilst wrapping Blush)

WreckTangled · 11/11/2019 07:11

I've made low carb mini pizzas for my lunch this week. Yum.

I need to go into Aldi today to get the bits Lidl didn't have but I still have food budget money left over so that's fine.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/11/2019 07:45

That sounds nice Wreck. I’m really struggling for lunch ideas to take to work that are quick to prepare, not too heavy to carry and easy enough to eat in a meeting ( I rarely get a lunch break at all, so that rules out stuff like soup - too slurpy - or anything that needs heating). Oh, and diet-friendly. That last bit is the hard bit. I haven’t been sticking to it at all and I need to!

I’ve woken up with a wicked sore throat and headache and pressure feeling in my sinuses. I think a humdinger cold is on the way Sad

Wolfcub · 11/11/2019 09:28

Sea don't forget nothing that crunches, rustles or smells. It's a nightmare

SnugglySnerd · 11/11/2019 09:32

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a while. No exciting reason, just been busy.
Just had a quick read through the last few pages of the thread. Nice to see what everyone's up to. I'll try and keep up again if that's ok. I need some frugal guidance as Christmas looms!

ememem84 · 11/11/2019 10:11

@userxx no it’s an indesit one I think. Or “indeshit” as dh calls it. We’ve never had any luck with indesit stuff. All the appliances were in the kitchen when we bought the house though. Will replace when we eventually do the kitchen.

userxx · 11/11/2019 13:06

Mine is exactly the same colour inside, I've probably made myself look daft now and loads of ovens are that blue colour! Indeshit... :)

ememem84 · 11/11/2019 14:02

Strong girl alert. Put dds cot together by myself.

Friendly frugaleers as the leaves fall our bank balances will rise, hopefully!
lifelongfrugaleer · 11/11/2019 15:50

Well done em. Nice blankets
