mogloveseggs · 13/09/2019 20:10

snuggly I'm intrigued! What've you bought?

SnugglySnerd · 13/09/2019 20:11

Thank you for helping me justify my purchase madden! Dh came in from work, spied the book, rolled his eyes in a "not another one way" then sat and read it! I've had a quick look through. It looks fab!

mogloveseggs · 13/09/2019 20:13

happier definitely. Lying to your boss is never good.

Thatsnotmyflamingo · 13/09/2019 21:31

Snap @Wolfcub, I'm just watching the first episode of Temple now.
Spends today:
£4 charity shop on a couple of books and DVDs for DC
£8 on leggings for DD.

Wolfcub · 14/09/2019 07:02

@Thatsnotmyflamingo I watched all 8. A complete binge but well worth it. Great to see some different British drama

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/09/2019 07:19

We have IL dog here at the moment. Qué very excited children. Nsd yesterday though.
Got a £5.99 refund from eBay for something not arrived, chased my car insurance refund of £200. Got a cheque to pay in today for £25 tax refund. Denning back a gillet of DH as faultily.
Food shopping today

Wolfcub · 14/09/2019 08:09

There is a bloke on the train doing performance parenting. It is too early for that shit!

Life yay I love having the dog to stay. Good frugal returning there too

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/09/2019 08:24

What a knob wolf. Where are you off to?

Happierwithouthim · 14/09/2019 09:24

Wolf ugh

Happierwithouthim · 14/09/2019 09:26

Bf said he'd come to A Star is Born Live with me, so I'll buy tickets today €21.20 including booking fee.

Happierwithouthim · 14/09/2019 09:37

Hotel I stayed in with girls last Feb is available for €107 incl breakfast with free cancellation up to 3 days before it so I'm going to book that too.

mogloveseggs · 14/09/2019 09:47

Performance parenting at 8am? Who could be bothered with that Confused

CamdenTownie · 14/09/2019 12:42

Very expensive day today, well More expensive that I planned anyway.

Went to the market this morning and spent £19.50 on various food bits, 3 packs of Tilda micro rice for £1, 2 x 6 bags of walkers crisps for £1.50, 2 x Heinz ketchup for £1.00. Prices are always food and everything is in date, but dates don't really bother me anyway.

£12 on a pair of jeans for dd2 in Matalan, £13 in Superdrug for vitamins x 3 and 2 boxes of 2 Korean face masks that were reduced to £2 each which is a massive bargain so the Christmas shopping has began Grin

£6 in Savers for A hair dye and 2 roll on deodorants.

My £50 Asda shop didn't go to plan, spent £70.26, but I'm blaming dh as he can't leave the yellow sticker section alone.

No plans for the rest of the day, it's lovely and sunny here! I hope everyone else gets to enjoy the weekend Smile

Dorsetcamping · 14/09/2019 13:06

I wound save a fortune if I did diy hair colouring but too scared to take the plunge!

maddenlightfoot · 14/09/2019 13:11

They sound like some good bargains though Camden!

It's gorgeous and sunny here too. We're meeting friends at the park later. Planning a small spend to get some ice-creams (supermarket) on the way as managed to distract kids from ice-cream van when we were out this morning for a walk.

Wolfcub · 14/09/2019 13:13

Awesome big of auntieing overheard today, child age 9/10ish complaining that his mum has had her mouth on his sandwich “I don’t know what you’re making all the fuss about, you came out of her vagina”

Town with ds this morning.

£7 hair cut
£32 new shoes in Clark’s
£54 next on shoes for ds and some jammies for me and some for Ds
£43 George - socks for ds tights for Dd and some trousers for ds.
£42 jo Malone perfume for mil for her birthday
£7 flat white, a “fluffy” (foamy milk) and a gingeyman which ds refused to share.

Dd has a cold. She is snuffly as hell. Poor baby. Dh stayed home with her.

I cancelled riding (so one for today’s lesson plus £10 because I didn’t give 24 hours notice) because last night dh threw his back out. Right after we had a conversation argument about me going riding every week and leaving him with two littlies for a couple of hours.

I have pointed out that ds usually naps through my riding time so it’s not like they can go anywhere anyway. Also noted I’ve been left with two littlies before so why is it different for him. No real reply to this other than it just is.

I’ve got a sweat on today. Slept for about 3 hours (thanks Dd) and feel like I’m really fighting this cold everyone has had. But just pushing on through. With everyone else going down with it I cannot afford to get sick too.

Love a bit of performance parenting. 🙄 I will admit to doing it once. When someone I know who is super annoying and posts every little thing her Dd does on Fb with astonishment was around. “Oooh ds can you say toot?!” When he farted. “Toot” “ well done!!! Toot!!! That’s right! Toot!!” I can be a right knobber at times

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/09/2019 14:28

That made me chortle wolf

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 14/09/2019 14:55

Hi all.
Fell off the thread as just so busy and tired.
Monday and Tues we had first aid training delivered by active paramedics, so it was really good.
I've had a couple of NSD this week, but need to do better next week.
I treated myself to a cordless Dyson, the V6 one, but got £50 quid off by using code MSE50, so it cost £150. So if anyone is after a new hoover...
Offer runs out at the end of September.

LoveFlowers for you and your dps. Do you get dependence leave? We get 10 days per year at my work, don't know if your work does similar?

Happier, glad the dcs met your bf and it went well. I'm sure your dream house is just waiting for you.

Em, I have the mirena coil and dd2 is now 9, so it works for me. I've had copper coils in the past and they were ok too. I had my first mirena coil when I was having a cyst removed so no pain. When I had it replaced in November, well it was quite painful, so I would recommend taking pain killers first, but your pain threshold may be higher than mine!

Camden that is rubbish, I'm sorry.

Little, so sorry for your loss Flowers

Wolf and Sea, sorry you have had a shitty week at work, hope the wkend will be better.
Wolf, haha, my ds2 tried to embarrass me a couple of years ago when we were in a pretty busy McDonald's, talking about sex, wet dreams and the like. He thought I would go red and tell him to be quiet, even though we had had lots of conversations at home. In the end, to win the debate, I just said, "well you came out of my vagina". Cue much giggling from the surrounding tables.
He hasn't been so eager since!

Madden, I'm sure primark does Harry Potter pjs, I'm going there tomorrow so can have a look for you.

I only saw hp joggers and nighties last week.

£58 Aldi, £5 Poundland, £64 Sainsbury's. So much for a cheap week. £25 back from mil for the stuff I got her which paid for pony.
£7 coop,

Girliefriendlikescake · 14/09/2019 20:29

We went to a local garden centre today, think I spent around £25 well actually it was more like £75 but I had a £50 voucher so actual spend £25 😁 I've bought a pear tree. This will be the 3rd tree I've tried in the garden so crossing my fingers I don't kill this one!! I also got a few other plants and bits for the puppy.
