I caved and bought the JO veg book.
Naughty me

ememem84 · 13/09/2019 07:14

I’m tempted by mondo....

ememem84 · 13/09/2019 07:17

Monzo even.

Ds starts swimming lessons again today so Dm is meeting us at the pool at 1030 so she can watch Dd while I swim with ds.

I feel like absolute death today. Took some night nurse last night as felt awful all day. But only lne tablet as I knew that taking two would make me sleep for around 14 hours (so tempting...) but by the time I took it it was almost 9pm. I woke up wide awake at 5 and have dozed since. Dh did the night shift with dd last night.

Hopefully nsd today.

ememem84 · 13/09/2019 07:38

Ah. I can’t have monzo. U.K. only. And jersey falls in the wierd U.K. for some things but not for others category. Banking being one of them.

SnugglySnerd · 13/09/2019 08:00

I'm going to get that book Life. I was going to ask for it for xmas but I don't think I can wait that long as a vegetarian cook book obsessive!

Also tempted by Monzo. Is it an actual bank account with interest and overdrafts and so on?

Wolfcub · 13/09/2019 08:22

Frugal fail.just buttered my toast and then realised the butter has a green fur coat Envy

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/09/2019 08:38

That's me to snug. Couldn't wait.

Ah rubbish wolf. A lot? I might just eat it anyway. But I pick the mould off bread and eat the rest.

Wolfcub · 13/09/2019 08:54

You could have made a coat for a mouse out of it Life. It was grim

ememem84 · 13/09/2019 09:03

Relative peace so far this morning. Colouring and toast.

I would also pick mould off bread and eat remaining bread but draw the line at furry butter Grin

Tough morning in our house, and I put the blame solely on au pairs shoulders. Dc have jersey day today, I left ds's ready to go this morning with a tshirt for under it, when I went to dress him it had disappeared and his uniform was there in its place, she denied moving it and then suggested that maybe ds had put it back in his room. I then searched wash basket twice, checked washing machine, his room twice and came back downstairs to find her putting it on him. So she knew where it was all along. I start late on Friday mornings so that I can have breakfast with dc, but she seems to be viewing it as a morning off for her Angry

Au pairs hours have dramatically reduced since h and I separated and she has been good for helping out by putting out laundry or washing a few dishes(putting on dishwasher) as a substitute so this morning and many other Friday mornings really annoy me

Happierwithouthim · 13/09/2019 09:27

Are you colouring and having toast too em

mogloveseggs · 13/09/2019 10:11

Colouring and toast sounds lovely em
wolf oh no! I blooming hate it when that happens. What did you have instead?
happier that sounds very frustrating. If she'd said oh I thought it was normal uniform and put it away no one would have had an issue surely.

mogloveseggs · 13/09/2019 10:12

£45 to dm for car park for holiday
£9 to school for panto trip
Hoping that's it today

Happierwithouthim · 13/09/2019 11:54

mog I didn't like that she faced me up and said she didn't touch it when I knew she had and then blamed ds.

As you say if she had said that there would have been no issue

Wolfcub · 13/09/2019 12:35

£45.24 Lidl, lots of ready made/easy food to try and take a bit of pressure off next week
Picked up my 15 pence train tickets for morning

Car has an engine fault. Need to ring garage. Will not be frugal

Happierwithouthim · 13/09/2019 12:49

You just reminded me wolf I need to book a nct for au pairs car, hope your problem isn't big

ememem84 · 13/09/2019 14:37

happier yup!! Love a bit of Friday morning colouring!!!

Swimming was fun. Ddad came with us - Dm stayed at ours to look after Dd.

SnugglySnerd · 13/09/2019 14:55

Guess what I just bought Life! Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/09/2019 16:29

Maybe even that's too furry for me

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/09/2019 16:30

Fab snuggly.

Happierwithouthim · 13/09/2019 16:54

Life are you being an enabler?

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/09/2019 17:25

Me! No. Whistles innocently......

Girliefriendlikescake · 13/09/2019 18:56

Netflix isn't working which is very annoying as it's Friday evening and that was all I had planned!!!

Have managed a NSD I think.

Wolfcub · 13/09/2019 19:04

Girlie if you have NowTV try Temple. It’s beilliant

maddenlightfoot · 13/09/2019 19:13

We should all be eating more veggie meals to be frugal, surely? Really the book is an investment and will pay for itself in the first week Wink!

Another NSD!
