Shock girlie pleased you enjoyed your weekend

Cag woo hoo! Hope you have a great time. The weather looks like it's going to be nice too.

WreckTangled · 25/03/2019 07:39

Egg muffins a success for breakfast.

Cagliostro · 25/03/2019 07:43

Ooh Wreck do you happen to know if there are any decent places to buy a bra in the town do you? I should really make a trip to bravissimo in Brighton at some point but reeeeally CBA

I hope the weather is nice. We have the rain cover for the buggy anyway. Oddly enough, on my Fb memories I just saw we were on the canal there 7 years ago today.

Not sure if we will do the game shop today or later in the week. Having googled it, it looks rather small inside and we have a lot of luggage! Feel like we’ve packed for a six month journey to mars Hmm

WreckTangled · 25/03/2019 07:51

I'm afraid not cag there's only M&S.

Cagliostro · 25/03/2019 09:29

Ah fair enough, thanks for speedy reply! TBF it wouldn’t have been much fun for the others 😂 I’ll have to visit bravissimo at some point, will make a day trip of it - need more day to day bras, a sports bra and probably a swimming costume too (current rather old one has a proper bra built into it, I will never go back to other types now!). 💸💸💸

We are totally ready to go and will be getting an earlier train. Woohoo!

WreckTangled · 25/03/2019 11:26

Woo hoo! It's still gorgeously sunny here. I've just driven through where you're going. Back in the office now though.

Girliefriendlikescake · 25/03/2019 11:54

I'm back from aldi spent £50 which for two weeks worth isn't too bad, needed loads of fresh stuff as fridge was empty.

Am feeling quite virtuous as have just eaten a very healthy ham salad for lunch 🥗 will ignore the bag of skips for pudding 🤭

Meal plan
Today roast dinner
Tues left over chicken and salad for me, veggie sausage rolls and salad for dd.
Wed salmon, rice and veg
Thus spag Bol and garlic bread
Fri pizza and salad
Saturday jacket spuds and beans
Sun not sure!

Beautiful day here again 🌞 going to mow the lawn in a min.

ememem84 · 25/03/2019 13:06

£42 in boots. More pjs for ds (as he only has 4 pairs) some joggers and some vests/bodysuits. Also a pack of Thai sweet chilli crisps.

Then £31 on flowers for Dm for mother’s dsy.

And £2.15 Thai yellow chicken soup. Yummo.

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/03/2019 17:05

£30 in next but might go back as no time to try.
£16.13 Sainsbury's.
I'm desperately looking for the orange fulfil bars. Le yum yum

Happierwithouthim · 25/03/2019 17:07

life since I've had the birthday cake carb killa bar no other protein bar will live up to it, had the peanut nutter yesterday and tasted like sawdust in comparison Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/03/2019 17:39

I will have to try that one happier

WreckTangled · 25/03/2019 17:42

Nsd.

Cagliostro · 25/03/2019 17:53

OMG Taco Bell. Le yum. :o

Trampoline park was ridiculously fun, I had the excuse to go on with the baby and it was a right laugh! My legs are killing now though :o

Went to the game shop, didn’t buy anything though as they didn’t have any small games I’m looking for, don’t have the budget for the bigger ones they had ATM. (If you’re wondering Wolf, it’s Sagrada and Forbidden Sky) Shame as I always love to support shops like that.

Lovemaltesers · 25/03/2019 18:22

My pelvic floor can't cope with trampolines 😩

I feel awful today. My boss tried to send me home. But I'm looking to change jobs again after the summer and I see the references that get written by her. I fear her writing "love always goes home sick" even if it is just the once. Going to power through even if I infect everyone 😬

Spent £40 on outlet stuff on eBay

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/03/2019 18:47

Mine neither love. I'm banned from trampoline by the physio

SneakyGremlins · 25/03/2019 19:27

£0.42 in Aldi!

Lovemaltesers · 25/03/2019 20:27

I think I've just seen fluffy on another thread. It would be stalker-like to pm her?!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/03/2019 20:28

Nah do it, stalk away.

Happierwithouthim · 25/03/2019 20:59

Evening - I am shattered even though it is only Monday.

When ever my DD wants a good laugh she convinces me to go to Go Ape. I am not good with heights.

I had a very frugal day today - only blemished by having to use the drier. I am almost on break even day for the bike which gives me joy.

Thatsnotmybaby · 26/03/2019 09:55

Morning everyone.

Wow @girlie, that is scary high, I would never do that.

Yesterday was NSD for me, I wasn't feeling well so had a very quiet day at home. I was browsing online last night and spotted some very cute gilets for DD (I have been looking for one for her), so today may involve ordering one of those.

Taytocrisps · 26/03/2019 11:16

Morning everyone. It's a beautiful sunny day here, so I'm getting lots of washing done. My Tuesday morning walkers cancelled so I thought I'd do a quick catch up with you instead.

We had a very spendy day on Sunday. We went to IKEA and picked up a Kallax storage unit, lamp and lightshade for DD's teen hangout room. This is the unit - she opted for white baskets and some white shelves. www.ikea.com/ie/en/products/storage-furniture/shelving-units-systems/kallax-shelving-unit-white-stained-oak-effect-art-40409935/ We got a special bulb for the lamp so you can change the light from normal to blue to red to lavender etc. DD thinks this is the best thing ever Grin.

Then we went to The Range and picked out three pictures for the walls. Next on our list is a cheap sofa and some chairs for the room, but DD can make do with an old rather uncomfortable futon in the meantime. We also need to get a skip and throw out the old furniture (we tried selling it but didn't get any takers) and a lot of other junk that's lying around. DH put up two of the pictures on Sunday night and the room looks so much better already, especially as the walls are freshly painted. DH is going to put together the shelving unit at the weekend. DD can't wait to get it installed and put her things in/on it.

We spent €373.45 in IKEA and €83.65 in The Range. It was all budgeted for though.

Today I've a big shop coming from Tesco - €183.18. DH gets paid monthly so I do a big monthly shop and stock up on all non-perishables and wine. Then I just have to do small top up shops for fresh food. It cuts down on the delivery charges. I prefer picking my own fruit and veg anyway. And I buy most of my meat from the local butcher.

Girlie sounds like you'd a lovely weekend in Bristol. Your DD is a very brave young lady! £50 is very good for a 2 week shop.

Seacow your brunch sounded lovely too. Yes, technology can be incredibly frustrating. Incredibly useful but incredibly frustrating too.

Ruby Angry at your DP. Bad enough that he wasted £30 on an impulse buy but if you have to shell out for a new kindle too.......

Curvy must have been so nice to catch up with your two DDs. Cake is always good too Cake.

Lonely what a pain re: car expenses Sad

Love get well soon Flowers

WreckTangled · 26/03/2019 12:28

£2.03 in Aldi on cucumber, celery and brioche buns. Decided to do hot dogs for dinner regather than a sausage roast what with the weather being so nice. Managed to scrape together some change for this so didn't need to be within budget

Elven · 26/03/2019 18:28

Cag, do you have any recommendations for a family friendly board game? DS is 8. Thanks!
