Well done for the new time happier!

I admire you for spinning wreck I can manage about 2.5k on our bike 😳😂

WreckTangled · 24/03/2019 12:59

Cag that's great that you've got your own programme. Hopefully next year I'll be able to afford the gym. WRT spinning I have been doing it for a couple of years now but it's still tough! Usually do 15+ miles in one session. I do weights and gentle HIIT sessions at home. It makes me feel so much better mentally and physically.

ememem84 · 24/03/2019 16:38

I love spinning!!

We’ve just got back from Sunday lunch out. So nice. 👍🏻😀

Laundry is dry and picked in. Dh is asleep on the floor in the living room annoyingly because I wanted a nap ds is playing with dhs flipflops and a laundry basket 🤷‍♀️

We’re taking him to dparents for 715 (!?!? 😱) tomorrow morning so we can have breakfast with them and dgodmother before we head to work. It’s going to be a long Monday

WreckTangled · 24/03/2019 17:02

I'm just doing dinner. Roast gammon with roast potatoes and cheesy leeks, cauliflower and broccoli. Yum.

ChristmasSeacow · 24/03/2019 17:20

Gammon here too Wreck, done in slow cooker. With dauphinoise potatoes and broccoli, sugar snaps and carrots. I’m a little concerned that ds won’t eat anything... we’ll see!

Been out in the garden today. Nsd.

Thatsnotmybaby · 24/03/2019 17:43

Sounds delicious @WreckTangled and @ChristmasSeacow; DH is making chicken fajitas and homemade potato wedges.

Spends yesterday:
£5 newspaper and snacks
£24 in home/garden shop.

WreckTangled · 24/03/2019 17:50

Dd ate everything ds ate gammon (the fatty bits 🤢) one piece of broccoli and one piece of cauliflower. He's not a fan of veg. I also ate everything Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/03/2019 17:54

Gammon here too. Mash and veg. Rest will be made into a pie tomorrow

ememem84 · 24/03/2019 18:26

Bloody love a gammon. Mmmmmmmm.

I had roasted chicken breast, “dolphin” potatoes garlic spinach carrots and white wine cream and chive sauce. With garlic prawns and chorizo to start. And chocolate lava cake for dessert. Ds had the most delicious sausages and some chippies and peas. Mmm.

SneakyGremlins · 24/03/2019 18:28

I'm having cheese toasties Grin

ememem84 · 24/03/2019 18:34

Also bloody love a toastie.

Melted cheese is my favourite kind of cheese.

ChristmasSeacow · 24/03/2019 18:36

Ooh that’s an idea. I have a lot of leftovers. It was a half price gammon (Ocado offer) and was pretty huge!

Ds actually ate the dauphinois potatoes! It’s not exactly a health food but i count it as a success because he otherwise only eats roast potatoes. Not even chips Shock. I am just trying to make sure DD gets a variety of foods so I have to ring the changes but that often means cooking two things, or even two meals. But now I have another option (though I shouldn’t be eating it myself with Slimming World falling by the wayside)

We had fresh mango for pudding and then a very little square of a biscuity fudge tray bake, the recipe for which I got off the Protestant traybake thread. It was gorgeous but very rich and I have tonnes of that left too! I’m working from home tomorrow. Oink oink.

ChristmasSeacow · 24/03/2019 18:37

God i love a cheese toastie too! Would defo rather have that than a roast dinner. Fact.

WreckTangled · 24/03/2019 18:38

I also would have preferred a cheese toastie maybe cheese and onion. Yum.

Wolfcub · 24/03/2019 18:42

I love a cheese toastie ds makes epic cheese toasties at his volunteering thing

Sea I also have one of those half price gammons in my fridge, I will be cooking it in the old instant pot at some point

LonelyOversharer · 24/03/2019 19:02

We had cheese on toast for tea! The chicken will get roasted tomorrow...ran out of time today.

It would have been a reasonable day, £32 Lidl, £12 pet shop and £21 Hobbycraft (yarn for a mothers day gift). Then. Then my engine light came on half way home.

Dp ran the diagnostic thingy he has, and it's the cat. Seeing as the water pump is whining and the belt (?) needs doing, we got all 3 bits ordered from europarts £191 later. Ugh. Cheaper that dp does it than a garage though.

Todays positives: I scraped the winter (read an inch of mud, weeds and dog poo) off the patio, washed and scrubbed it; then dd3 and I made her huge guinea pig hutch in 20 mins!!
I've planted all the tomato, cucumber, courgette and squash seeds, at long last.
Cleared the hallway of 6 months of shite (bin and car boot filled for tip) so my mahoosive asda order can get in.
And I have had a lazy day, and done lots of crochet, my new best thing.

Just waiting on the Asda guy, and for dd1 to be dropped home from her bf, then I shall go to bed!

ememem84 · 24/03/2019 19:13

Just had s bowl of DMs pudding she brought yesterday. Layer of fresh raspberries, topped with whipped cream and Greek yoghurt mixed. Then topped with a layer of brown sugar. So good. But probably so bad.

LonelyOversharer · 24/03/2019 19:26

Okay, even with the missing stuff (3 boxes of sheba catfood we actually needed), £187 of groceries is an awful lot!!

We won't starve anytime soon. Or need loo roll or fairy liquid. I am stashed

Lovemaltesers · 24/03/2019 19:36

Mmmm cheese toasties

We had roast beef and Yorkshire puddings 😋 Loads of beef leftover too

NSD although DP went out Mother's Day shopping with the DDs

I have a horrible runny nose, throat is getting sore and I'm meant to be on an interview panel tomorrow. People are going to love sitting in a room with lurgy me 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/03/2019 19:57

No other spends today.
Well done lonely very productive.
Nah roast dinner over cheese toast but a very close second.
Stroppy tired dd here. Fgs

Lovemaltesers · 24/03/2019 19:58

Roast dinner at Sunday lunch, followed by cheese toastie for tea would be a perfect Sunday Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/03/2019 19:59

I portioned up and froze my tray bake. Seems to have survived

ememem84 · 24/03/2019 21:21

I need to bake something. Maybe tomorrow is flapjack day.

Girliefriendlikescake · 24/03/2019 21:47

Evening all, we had a fab wend but My God it's been spendy 😳 I reckon I could easily double my original budget of £80! My fault for not being more organised with taking food with us plus should have checked that the air bnb did breakfast.

Anyway it was great, loved Annie last night,Anita Dobson played many miss hannigan and was very good as was the girl who played Annie. Our room was very nice and close to the city centre and today we went to a wildlife place which also had a huge climbing wall and something called the leap of faith 😮 dd is so much braver than me and did it all!! See attached pic of her swinging off a very high swing 😱

That said I did do a huge swing with dd which involved being winched high in the air and then dropped 😵 you probably all heard the screaming 🤪🤣

Back to being frugal tomorrow!!

Cagliostro · 25/03/2019 06:07

Wow girlie 😱 I’m not particularly bothered by heights but that is... high!!!

Awake earlier than normal but Cagletini slept 8 hours straight (virtually unheard of) so I feel quite refreshed. We don’t leave until about 11 anyway. The train doesn’t even take an hour :o trampolining at 1, then food after. Then game shop
