Oh yes please love I was going to get Rowan some sleepsuits there since the other places are OOS! 💐

Lovemaltesers · 03/03/2019 15:30

Sent you a pm cag

Girliefriendlikescake · 03/03/2019 15:36

We popped out for a bit, went to Sainsbury's and ended up getting a few food bits (labelled stuff on offer that you can't get in aldi!) I picked up a gardening magazine which cost £5 but included 8 packets of seeds which I thought was quite good. Total spend £21.

Went to the garden center for a look about ended up picking up a lovely ceramic pot which was half price £7.50.

Home now and chilling out for the rest of the afternoon (reading the gardening magazine!!)

WreckTangled · 03/03/2019 15:40

Our wheelie bin has just blown over 🙄 🌬

ememem84 · 03/03/2019 16:11

Been for lunch. Fil and gf were 🙄that we bought ds with us. What else are we meant to do with him?!

Went to golf course. “ It’s a naice place em so why did you bring ds he’ll just cause a fuss” I asked for a high chair for him (fussing) I asked for a spare plate for him so he could have some of my dinner (fuss) and then when he was getting fidgety Bil took him outside to run about (fuss). We fuss that child apparently. Bil let ds run about on the golf course. I went to find them and they were building sandcastles in a bunker.....probably not what you’re meant to do but whatever. We didn’t tell Fil that bit.

Ds is a bit farty now. He’s had cauliflower.

We also went to look at the swimming pool at the golf club. They do mermaid swimming. With the tails. As soon as I’m able to after dc2 arrives I’m having a go.

Lovemaltesers · 03/03/2019 16:33

🙄 At your fil em. If it wasn't said not to bring him then why wouldn't you. He's part of the family!

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/03/2019 16:45

Fil on top form there em. Love bil and bunker sand castles though.

moimichme · 03/03/2019 17:35

Hi all. Rainy weekend here but we've been out walking and to the park with ds anyway.

Wreck Can I steal your meal plan for this week? Looks ace! Grin I'm also a bit envious of jam's vegan feast the other day!

Nsd today although we had a big shop £80 ish yesterday for food at Morrison's.

Happy Sunday evening all.

WreckTangled · 03/03/2019 17:47

Oh thanks moi Blush I'm in a bit of a rut with food so just try to think of things that are quick and easy!

Em what a nob

Welcome newbies

moimichme · 03/03/2019 18:11

Absolutely, Wreck, the fact it's quick and easy is part of the appeal! Smile I'm still a bit knackered from breastfeeding ds a lot overnight at the moment...fingers crossed it's a molar coming in and it'll settle down soon. I had a sneaky 3-hour nap while he was at the childminder's on Friday, so thankfully I no longer feel like strangling someone!

Justanothermile · 03/03/2019 19:04

What magazine was £9.20 life???!!

Ignore em, ignore ignore ignore....But don't ignore the mermaid swimming - cool! Bet it's great for the core.

Hello duds and faith, good to have you on board. We are a friendly bunch.

Fairly LSD. I think we are due to get the weather overnight, was pretty miserable this afternoon but quite nice this morning. I did a very long run of 20 miles and it was pleasant.

Boots £21 (various hair stuff as I'm going to embrace the curl....)
Aldi £4

seacow/life - the Mini is now called Meryl😁

Happierwithouthim · 03/03/2019 19:49

€45 runners for dd
€78.75 Aldi
€29.29 petrol station on lunch & pocket money spends for dc (ds bad mood/tantrum for a couple of hours wore me out)
Yesterday €13.92 on movie night snacks local shop
€18.60 in butchers on meat for the week & 12 slices of cooked ham

Happierwithouthim · 03/03/2019 19:50

Em fil doesn't seem to realise ds is part of the family Shock

Happierwithouthim · 03/03/2019 19:54

He's 2 in summer right?

ememem84 · 03/03/2019 20:00

Bil is great. He loves ds. They’re best friends already (only after 2 days). Dh has the next few days off. I think they’re going to the zoo with ds tomorrow. He’ll love it!!

Fil is a bit of a knobber. I did ask who was meant to look after ds? No response (Fil doesn’t like to be challenged by women).

Ds was so good. He loves eating out.

jam I am definetly going to do mermaid swimming! It looked awesome

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 03/03/2019 20:27

NSD

SnugglySnerd · 03/03/2019 20:30

Found you all! Thanks Jam.

ememem84 · 03/03/2019 20:47

happier yes - 2 in September. My baby’s not a baby anymore!! 😪😭😱

Bil has just left ours. He’s showed me a gazillion pics and videos of my nephews. And we FaceTimed sil and oldest nephew. He was confused as to why dadda is here. Thought it was funny though. 😂

Dnephew1 is so cute!!!! As is baby nephew 2. Oh I could scrunch them both up.

Bets are on now re dc2 being a boy or a girl. Apparently (according to Fil) our side only have boys. So he’s said it has to be another boy. There is no other option. Whatever. Sort of hope it’s a girl now. That’s show him.

LonelyOversharer · 03/03/2019 21:53

For reasons unknown we have 2" of snow!! Go figure. It was tropical last week.

Wolfcub · 03/03/2019 21:57

Good grief Lonely!

RubySlippers77 · 04/03/2019 00:20

Hi, please could I join?

I was hoping to start a Lent challenge for myself, so encouragement from other people would be amazing Grin

I'm a SAHM with twins aged 3 - we are lucky enough to be able to manage on one wage (I can't earn enough to cover childcare costs at the moment!) but never seem to save any money or get ahead in our budgeting. This isn't helped by DP who never says 'no' to any requests for toys etc when we're at the supermarket or in town! Today we spent £30 on groceries at Tesco and he let them have toys worth £10 Angry

My Lent challenge will be along the lines of: keeping a very close eye on spending, justifying all money spent, looking for ways of saving etc. I've just switched our gas & electric which will save us about £20 per month, but there's always room for improvement!

ememem84 - my FIL sounds similar - he is firmly stuck in the 1950s when children were seen and not heard (in his opinion!!). Despite having three children and five grandchildren, he is still utterly clueless about looking after little ones...

WreckTangled · 04/03/2019 06:30

How weird lonely!

Welcome ruby!

Work today. Humph. Five weeks until the Easter holidays Grin

SnugglySnerd · 04/03/2019 06:47

Snow! Weird! It's been wet and very windy here overnight but no cold.

Welcome Ruby. I have twins too. Mine are 2.

Em I don't know why but I thought you already knew the sex. I've got it in my head it's a boy for some reason!

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/03/2019 06:57

It's was more than one magazine jam. I just forgot the s. Thank God for them delayed by 45 minutes.
£8.50 taxi and 12 dinner all claimable.

Welcome new people. I don't think I've said that to anyone.

Meet my new team today.

Meryl Grin

Cagliostro · 04/03/2019 08:18

Meryl, fab choice :o

Welcome ruby! Aaaargh at your softie DH getting random toys. Mad to do that for no reason unless money is no object :( a tenner here and there adds up fast.

I spent a bit online yesterday, some scales (got kitchen ones the other day too but needed some bathroom scales to weigh parcels and and also to stop being such an ostrich about weighing myself regularly 😳) and added some chemistry books for DS to get to free delivery - attempting KS3 work on that with him (for newbies, my older two are home educated). And then at 1am Hmm found some sets of photocopiable resources for various things. It’s all coming together again, after a break while we were both out of sorts. We are still out of sorts TBH but agreed we can’t keep waiting to feel better!
