Ds woke up crying at 4. 😪 he snuggled in with me and then we all 4 of us (me ds Dh and catface) slept until 730. Wahooo.

Dh has gone to work now 😪 he’s under a lot of pressure to get stuff done for some project he’s working on. Technically speaking he doesn’t need to go in today as his team are. But he feels bad asking them to go in and him not be here. So he’s gone in to muck in and get shit done.

I’m home with ds who has decided it’s naptime. Catface is bouncing about in the garden. I’ve put a load of washing on the line (bright sunny and windy here today) and another in the machine (on the eco/speed setting)

Just finished my second cup of tea and am about to make a start at moving clothes etc into the spare room for Monday.

We’re getting our wardrobes fitted then.
Finally no more staring at wonky clothes rails.

This afternoon we might pot up some more plants.

Need to collect my boots order at some point today too. The shop is a 10 minute walk away (and I can see it from our back window). But I can’t go now (as ds is napping) or when he wakes up because it’s a big order and I wouldn’t be able to carry it and push his pram. So will have to wait for dh to come home so I can throw it in the car.

Should be nsd today. I’m making katsu curry for dinner. Will make loads of sauce so we’ve got some in the freezer as it’s a nice quick easy dinner (providing you’ve got pre breaded chicken...none of that faffing panko breadcrumbing my own chicken here...!)

Oooh em what recipe do you use for the katsu sauce please, I have only ever bought ready meals of that but I love it.

Also want to try making satay, because peanuts 😋

My version (or rather jamie Oliver’s version I think) is:

Carrots onion garlic (2 2 2 cloves), chicken stock (1ltr maybe) curry powder (table spoon). Fry veggies until soft. Add curry powder. Add stock. Simmer 20 minutes. Blend. If it’s too runny I usually whisk in corn flour. Or normal flour.

I’ve mistaken this for soup once too. So had curry sauce and toast for lunch....
