DD went to town alone with a friend again yesterday and bought her little sister a t-shirt.

Seems apt. Hmm

Is that shirt available in a Men's size medium? Asking for, erm, a friend Grin

ememem84 · 19/02/2019 20:25

I am craving a big old wine

Great pic cag so cute!!

£35 gift voucher in M&S on a pair of navy ankle grazer skinny trousers. Basic. They may/may not fit now but will do post baby.

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 20:27

Sneaky 😂😈

I have the day just me and Rowan tomorrow. I’ve not actually done that for a long time. The others are going to the Avengers Station thing in London.

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 21:29

Sigh. DD just noticed wet patches on the living room ceiling. Turns out DS’ radiator is leaking! Hmm

Super grateful we are in HA housing now as DH just phoned the central line and they are sending someone out tonight.

Girliefriendlikescake · 19/02/2019 21:48

Evening all, how old is dd again Wreck? No advice really as dd has had periods of being the devil and then periods of being angelic and I honestly can't pin point anything I do differently so it must be all her Wink have you read the how to talk to your kids so they will listen book? I found that useful.

Dd went out with a friend this evening which was nice, they went to see Lego movie 2 and to hang out at the arcades for a bit, she said she had a nice time. Gave her £20 and haven't seen any change yet!!

Also spent £2.50 at the reuse shop on a few bits.

Been a nice day really, tidied up the front garden which looks a million times better, loads of bulbs coming through which makes me smile.

Watched Lion on Netflix, was brilliant but omg I was sobbing at the end!!

ChristmasSeacow · 19/02/2019 22:15

Both my kids are naughtier for me than anyone else, including DH. I’m actually more strict than he is but they spend more time with me so I guess there are more boundaries to push against! I just tell them they can listen to me or no telly /flapjack /other privilege later. Ds understands, DD is just naughtier I think!

I am in Abu Dhabi now waiting for the connecting flight. It’s been a long old day but as soon as we get off the flight we have to go shopping for wedding clothes. Dh hates shopping at the best of times, never mind after 24 hrs travelling and not much sleep and no shower. Hope we’re still married by this time tomorrow HmmGrin.

I cried about leaving the kids most of the way to the airport but am okay now. It’s very odd going on holiday and not feeling simply happy but I am getting there! DM has messaged to say the kids have been good all day, and asked after us but weren’t upset (I made a little picture story for ds to explain about our trip which seems to have helped).

Airport wasn’t frugal, with the stupid cost of a bottle of water and whatnot sunglasses . And I had to buy Imodium again as I forgot to pack the load I bought a month ago for this trip. Didn’t buy any cold remedy as they only had the ones with caffeine in and I wanted to sleep! Hey ho. Regret that now as I am very snotty. The flight was a huge Aurbus 380 double decker job and was nearly empty so we got to stretch out on a whole row each to ourselves. I was asleep before take off anyway Grin

Girliefriendlikescake · 19/02/2019 22:46

Woo hoo I've got mn going on my new phone!! This is my practice post, will have a go at posting a pic of dds bday cake at long last as well....

That’s amazing girlie 😱

SneakyGremlins · 19/02/2019 23:09

That's amazing!!

Tomorrow is ESA DAY Grin

£140.

£110 after electric

£90 after Manchester money

£60 after Sky

£50 after Netflix

£25 after paying back Argos card

£12 after B+Q

Leaves £13 for food!

SneakyGremlins · 20/02/2019 00:35

Paid Argos card (only £135 left to go!), sky and Netflix so have £81.30 left - going to withdraw that and use cash! So no unexpected debits looking at you Jurassic World app

WreckTangled · 20/02/2019 03:46

Girlie great cake! She's 8.5 I've tried reading that book but just end up reading the same page over and over. I really can't get into it!

Sneaky your sky is expensive have you tried phoning them to see if you can get it cheaper?

Ds woke up so now I'm awake and can't sleep. He's snoring next to me. I'm working in the toy shop tomorrow so could have done with a decent sleep.

SneakyGremlins · 20/02/2019 04:19

I haven't! What would I say? It feels really grown up to do that Blush happy to if it saves money!

WreckTangled · 20/02/2019 04:34

You just say you want to cancel because you can't afford it and they give you a better deal Grin there's a section on money saving expert about it I think.

SneakyGremlins · 20/02/2019 04:43

Will that work? Grin

It was £18 for two years as I was only paying line rental then that deal ran out..

WreckTangled · 20/02/2019 04:46

Yes it really does!

SneakyGremlins · 20/02/2019 04:48

Will look into it! Thanks Wreck Smile

SneakyGremlins · 20/02/2019 04:54

I don't get sky TV or anything, just WiFi.

Can I haggle via online chat? Grin

SneakyGremlins · 20/02/2019 06:16

Been to the ATM and McColl's - got £14 electric and a rockstar, put £15 cash away for next week's takeaway and electricity, put £20 in my passport for Manchester trip next (I think) week - just need to pay for train (£10) and food (£10) while my best friend is at the arena - I'll be in the hotel with Challenge on TV and I'm gonna test Über Eats Grin

That leaves £30 cash for B+Q (seeds) the discount (tubs and canes) and Aldi (food)

And just like that the ESA is gone til the next fortnight!

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/02/2019 06:16

Yes you can have a go via on line chat. £10 for Netflix? How many devices do you have? I think I only pay £6 a month but that's 1 log in at a time between 4 of is. It's fine.

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/02/2019 06:16

Great cake girlie
