I've been through town at about ten past six and I could smell fresh bread!

LonelyOversharer · 19/02/2019 07:23

love poor you. Are you at CP? What you need to grab is a wee cctv camera that live streams to your phone. Dp got 3 for the shop for under £100. We now have them in the house. Gives that bit of piece of mind when this sort of thing happens.

It's light here too. I can't wait for it to be full light when I get home from work. The garden needs me, but I have no daylight hours atm.

Booked a Hermes delivery last night, rather than going to the post office. Was double what the buyer paid, but I insured it, so am happy to absorb the extra £11, just to be safe (££ bike part). Better get up before the dogs start barking.

WreckTangled · 19/02/2019 07:25

Ah sea you can sleep on the plane. You'll have a great time. When we've left the dc (twice now) I've found once I'm on my way to the airport I don't feel as bad leaving them, the excitement takes over!

I've just got up. Meeting with a friend today but can't decide where to go. Ds is crying because he wants to take his bike but it really doesn't fit in my car

WreckTangled · 19/02/2019 08:19

I am so spotty at the moment I even have them on my neck and shoulders. Wtf?? I never suffered with anything like acne when I was younger I don't know what I can do about it?

Wolfcub · 19/02/2019 08:41

Sea have a fabulous time. Pick up some Sudafed at the airport for the cold.

Life hope work is ok. The weather is really lifting my mood. Geography wise I’d be an hour north of the city of steel near another big Yorkshire city. The sea is about 1he 45m away.

Wreck that happens to me when I am run down.

Love bloody alarm. Mine always goes when I am on a train at some god awful time in the morning and can do nothing about it.

Just catching up.

Seacow have a brilliant time, I left dd when she was very young (2 and 3yo) and had a two lovely holidays abroad with some friends. It was hard and I did feel guilty but actually it did both of us good to have a break.

Great seed growing Sneaky I want to get out in the garden today and start doing a bit of sorting out.

Meadow brilliant socialising, am glad you have made some mum friends it is useful to have friends that are also in that baby bubble. Your dd sounds fine with regards to weaning, I would just keep trying her with different flavours and textures but not get too worried if she's not bothered. I know its cliche but the best thing ime is to as relaxed as possible around food, do you eat when she eats?

We had a lovely day ystd, was nice and sunny here and definitely felt like spring was in the air! We went to Bristol in the afternoon to watch Anton and Erin in a show where they dance through a medley of musicals, I had bought the tickets ages ago for mums bday, we all really enjoyed it! Had dinner at ZaZas which was amazing and we all ate way too much Blush mum paid so the only cost to me ystd was some drinks £5.

Today I must go to Aldi as the fridge is empty but otherwise want to catch up on a few jobs at home and in the garden.

SneakyGremlins · 19/02/2019 09:56

I think I told you guys about my quest for the PPC refund?

I've just emailed them to say I can't return my PPC as I don't have a physical one. Either I never got one when it renewed or I accidentally threw it away with the letter. I can send them the letter proving I'm on ESA.

Hope I still get the refund...

Wolfcub · 19/02/2019 11:08

£8.10 cinema using meerkat movies. I have brought my own cafe bonbon (leftover condensed milk from soupy’s flapjack) and da has brought his own sweets. We might grab dinner after the film though

Good luck Sneaky

My mum had adult acne for a while. I was also pretty much unafflicted as a teen so I’m hoping it doesn’t catch up with me. Although my skin is pretty horrible anyway (dry/red etc I am basically hideous)

Good luck sneaky

Going out for lunch with a friend soon. Child free for a catch up.

We’ve decided on a tiny desk for DS. And now trying to navigate the Pax planner on the Ikea website to choose a wardrobe. Not having a wardrobe is getting annoying.

MeadowHay · 19/02/2019 11:48

I have acne, it's mild atm but still really bothers me. It's the winter that is the worst, when the weather goes better my skin massively improves and is usually ok over the summer months, then repeat! I've been battling it since I was about 13, and DM is the same and still has it a bit sometimes, and her DF was the same, so it's just genetic. I'm not taking care of my skin at all really atm I really need to invest in some new products, now DD is routinely in bed somewhere between 7.30 and 8.30pm every evening I don't really have an excuse!

Sea Safe journey and have a fab time!

Girlie Yes, pretty much always eat with her. We tend to give stuff for her to self-feed whilst we eat because then we get a chance to eat! Then try to spoon-fed her something afterwards to make sure she actually eats something given she is guzzling down 4 9oz bottles of formula day! If the spoon-fed thing is sweet, she will gobble it all down til I stop feeding her, don't think she would self-regulate. If it's not sweet, she will have a go at maybe 3 baby spoons max and then refuse anymore Confused. I don't force it or anything and we do lots of celebratory yays when she eats anything or if she feeds herself etc. As soon as she starts to lose interest/get grumpy/tired we stop and clean her up and end the meal.

Em Like the idea that a 7mo is a 'show-off' Grin. He is a cutie but actually is kinda a show-off, he was crawling about everywhere at 6 months. He is the only one in the baby groups that can crawl atm as the last 'cohort' of older kids have all started walking and moved on now. He is a cutie though.

DD driving me nuts this morning with her crying. Couldn't make playgroup as her screaming and needing to be carried about everywhere made everything take ten times as long so didn't get out on time to catch the bus. I went the shops instead and she was fine the whole time, literally as I brought the pushchair inside the house she started crying again, I kid you not. She has now woken up from a 30 minute nap crying again...

Meadow sounds like you've got the right approach with weaning.

£6.95 visiting some lovely gardens
£16 M&S on lunch and flowers for my aunts birthday.

Dd is so awful at the moment. I'm clearly being shit at handling it. I asked her to bring in the things she was playing with outside and she refused so I made her stay outside until she did it. I actually locked the door so she couldn't come in I'm just at my wits end I don't know what to do with her. This morning, I was on the phone to hmrc (so I couldn't hang up) and ds turned the tv over, rather than telling me she just sat there screaming and screaming over and over (she had been doing some typing on the laptop anyway) even when I asked her to stop as I was on the phone. I sent her upstairs then when I was in the kitchen on the phone she cane and threw a book at ds' head! Argh.

Anyway here's a photo of some pretty flowers which a lady told us off for letting the dc walk on Blush

Oops wreck :o

Sympathies re DD that sounds really hard. How is she at school? Is it a perfect angel in the classroom but nightmare at home kinda deal?

Nice quiet lunch for me and a friend, I paid under £20 for two courses plus drinks. She is so stressed though (child with extreme needs in her class, no support/budget to help) honestly I don’t know how teachers do it.

Played some games too - Wolf have you played Cacao? Finally broke it out today and loved it. Much simpler than I thought. I lost though.

DH is applying for a job. Mostly working from home. Unfortunately the area he would have to travel to is a bit further than he’d like but basically the job doesn’t exist in our area until later. The manager who encouraged him to apply basically said go for this one and he can always switch when the job moves to our area. 🤞

WreckTangled · 19/02/2019 16:01

Good luck to your dh cag. Dd is only like this to me really no one else.

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 17:39

Not even DH? That’s so frustrating. I guess she feels safest with you but that doesn’t really help the awfulness of having to deal with it.

I have discovered there is a game shop in Chichester, where we will be going through on the way to our little holiday (going to the trampoline park too)

💸💸💸💸💸

WreckTangled · 19/02/2019 17:42

Yes cag there is. Which trampoline park are you going to? Assume the one near the cinema. So funny you'll be so close Grin

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 17:46

:o Yep air arena. Only been once (they do home ed rates) but figured it’d be a good opportunity to go again. Plus I get to go on with Rowan :o :o :o the Haven place we are staying at (Church Farm, we went a few years ago and liked it so seemed like a no brainer for a £9.50 Sun hol) is pretty much between Bognor and Chichester but decided we could break up the journey in Chichester. Probably spend a day midweek in Bognor... I may have discovered there’s a hungry horse there 😂😂😂

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 17:47

They do home ed things at Flipout too I think but it’s a right PITA to get to without a car apparently.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2019 17:53

Oh wolf you are no where near I thought you were. And so much closer to me than I thought.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/02/2019 17:54

Good luck cag dh.
I need to look for dinner for Easter as cssc take ages to come.

WreckTangled · 19/02/2019 17:54

It sure is. It's just off the dual carriageway on an industrial estate. There's a Taco Bell opposite air arena anyway... when are you going? Oh the cinema in Bognor is really cheap and has just been done up too apparently.

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 17:56

Oooh always wondered about Taco Bell. I think I saw it on the way out last time 🤔 May have to stop there then! 25-29th March we are going :)

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 17:57

Any recommendations for places to see? Like Heritage places etc?

WreckTangled · 19/02/2019 18:06

You could get the train into Portsmouth/Southsea and see the historic dockyard. I think you've done fishbourne Roman palace haven't you? You could do Weald and Downland would be 2 buses but they've just had a big cash injection and is apparently really good now with lots to see and do.

Cagliostro · 19/02/2019 18:09

Oo thanks. I am tempted by Portsmouth at some point anyway so might do that as a day trip (it’s also one of the areas DH may cover in his new job). Not because there’s another game shop there or anything. No. 😁

W&D, two buses is pretty normal for us, so will definitely look at that thank you! Always wanted to go there!
