I keep looking at didrickson and wondering. I will price them up for my next one. Which one do you wear wolf?

Wolfcub · 12/02/2019 20:44

Life, don’t pay full price. A bit of clever shopping can get the price down significantly. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than £160 and my current one retails Over £200. Independent outdoor shops, including the one in Whitby, and a website called Viking kids are your friend.

My current one is actually a man’s Marcel Parker

My two older ones are both women’s which have a great feminine cut for an outdoor coat and both still in great nick although one is a little tight now round the norks

jam I know. Bless her, but I think if she goes for it then she has a good shot. Plus she has been competently arguing her position with me since she was 18mo!

She sat there talking to the 6th form head and gave him a Hmm look when he was asking her why she was picking those A-levels! like duh! I just said that he's going to enjoy having her in his 6th form, that she's wickedly clever and fiesty.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/02/2019 20:55

I managed a good haul in the yellow sticker trolley at the coop! 4 loaves of bread, a plummet of raspberries, a plummet of pineapple slices and a tray of mushrooms for £1.86 😆 fluffy would be proud.

Rightwayup · 12/02/2019 21:23

She would girlie though maybe slightly confused 're plummet of fruit unless it's something I've never heard of

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/02/2019 21:43

Ha punnet maybe?! Having a blonde moment 😉

northender · 12/02/2019 22:08

Only spends today 75p for diet coke at book group. DH did a top up shop at aldi, not sure how much he spent.
Am reading and running until Thursday when I'll have a bit of time to post properly!

Unescorted · 12/02/2019 22:29

I have managed to go to London to see the Queen and not spend any money at all. Only because my morning connection was really tight & I didn't get the chance to inhale the croissants in sainsbo's.

Lonely I think 6th form admissions tutors are trained in that look. DD got it as well when she explained she wanted to draw for a living.

sneaky glad you are about.

SneakyGremlins · 12/02/2019 23:11

Spent £0.39 today.

Managed to get my daily electric spend down to approx £0.60!

Wolfcub · 13/02/2019 05:37

Dammit Unescorted you were there on my usual day and I went and went the day before

Meant to be back to work today. Although after a long and wakeful night with ds it debating one more day.

Wolfcub · 13/02/2019 06:45

Em take the day

WreckTangled · 13/02/2019 06:58

LSD today. Need to top up with bread and fruit. Will go to Lidl as there's one near to where I am today. I have training and have to be there at 9, it's ages away so am having to leave an hour earlier 😴

ememem84 · 13/02/2019 07:26

Taking the day.

Ive text gp who will extend my sick note. And have called work.

Dh agrees. No point in going in if I’m just not feeling up to it. I’m exhausted and still not feeling great. I think I’d have been ok if it wasn’t for the lack of sleep last night.

Ds is now snoring on bed next to me. He’s got nursery today. I do not want to wake him up...

Early spends £17 catfood for catface. Little miss princess will only eat Royal canin special food. It may/may not arrive this afternoon (ordered online from local shop which I didn’t know I could do!!) if it doesn’t arrive this afternoon she’ll have to eat tuna or cold chicken #Slummingit

Called work. Apparently another colleague has the same as me (minus pregnancy) and she’s still feeling rough. Work said to take it easy. Called dr and they’ll sort my sick note for me. I need to be in town for various things tomorrow so will go to work (as I also have a ton of stuff to do now...)

But for now. Bed and rest and hot cross bun and honey and lemon.

SnugglySnerd · 13/02/2019 10:03

Em you've just reminded me I have some hot x buns! Hope you feel better soon.

Should be another NSD. It's sunny and the washing is out. Hooray!

Cagliostro · 13/02/2019 13:36

Yup. Mastitis. 🙄

WreckTangled · 13/02/2019 13:38

Eugh cag. I wanted to die when I had mastitis. I was vomiting from the pain you have my sympathies.

ememem84 · 13/02/2019 14:11

Ouch cag poor you! I take it you’re still bf then? (Good for you!!!)

Catface went outside as far as the grass. She bounced about then got scared by a bird. #wussycat I am so proud of her!

Eaten my body weight practically in chicken noodle soup drink a gazillion litres of water and have barely moved from the couch.

Thatsnotmybaby · 13/02/2019 15:18

@cag and @em, hope you both feel much better soon.

Spends today:
£2 work canteen
£10 supermarket at lunchtime, I feel I'm in a bit of a rut for work lunches so I just wandered around and picked up a few things, I don't mind spending a bit on ready prepared lunch bits as its still much cheaper than going out for lunch.

Yesterday was NSD

Cagliostro · 13/02/2019 15:21

Indeed, although I must admit to a bit of a love hate relationship with it lately! (“It” being BFing not the actual baby :o) feel a bit stupid for not realising earlier, dr reckons I have had it a couple of weeks now given how the pain has spread/increased. But I just put it down to random fibro twinges and having a cold. Oddly wreck it was the nausea that made me start to think it was something else, I don’t normally feel sick with pain.

Just bought two prescriptions, ABs plus an ear spray as my ear is infected too apparently Hmm got some stuff for baby too.

I’m actually feeling quite good though because I have felt thoroughly down and sad lately because of being more unwell than usual, thinking it was a big general flare up, so to actually know it’s something specific and easily treatable is really a very good thing :)

WreckTangled · 13/02/2019 15:51

Ah that's good cag hopefully in a couple of days you'll feel even better. Make sure you keep eating though as the abx they use for mastitis can make you feel so sick!

I phoned our shoe shop about ds' shoes and they said if I take them in they'll have a look to see if they're faulty or it's wear and tear as expected. The whole sole is coming away from the shoe so I'm sure it's not. They said if they're faulty they'll give me a full refund. Luckily I located the bank statement online from when I got them and dds. Must have got ds' trainers at the same time as it was £155 Shock

ememem84 · 13/02/2019 17:10

£28 sent to Dm for catfood. She called this morning (before I’d ordered the catfood) and id mentioned that I needed to buy some. So I have a 4kg bag in the house, a 2kg bag arriving tomorrow. Let’s just hope dh hasn’t also bought some.

Catface is very excited by it. She keeps rubbing against it.

Ggreengrass1 · 13/02/2019 17:46

em at least the cat will be brexit ready! Hope work goes well for you tomorrow.
cagouch, poor you.
wreck hope you get the refund.
£21.02 on petrol.
A couple of days ago I asked for advice on whether to try and return to old employer. I left my last job as I was refused the reduced hours I wanted to help my son with ASD when Hr started a new course, I really loved my old job, and felt really sad to go, and I still miss it. I found a part time job which is just not the same. Anyway my son has settled well and doesn't have the free days he had at the start of the course, we need the money. Dh doesn't really want me to go back as he feels mad I wasn't given the reduced hours. I would love to go back, but will be gutted if turned down. I'm quite happy to interview for job, What do you think?
