I'll hide your bank card if you hide my Argos card!

Cagliostro · 12/02/2019 13:59

It’s a deal :o

Not that it makes any difference to me, since I know my card number anyway 😳😂

I’m onto 13 Reasons Why now. Amazing how much Netflix one can get through when there’s no sleep to be had :o

Ggreengrass1 · 12/02/2019 14:01

unescorted your story about bring chased down the street & invited for coffee because you look like a strong woman made me laugh. I'm picturing the mum from "raised by wolves"Grin

SneakyGremlins · 12/02/2019 14:07

I was picturing a Russian accent... Strong, hardy woman....

WreckTangled · 12/02/2019 15:10

Haha sneaky poor unescorted! No one ever tried to ask me out

SnugglySnerd · 12/02/2019 15:48

Wolfcub · 12/02/2019 17:48

Urgh. Two long days on the bounce.

Freezer repair man has not been yet so dinner is not cooked and has just phoned to reschedule for next week after waiting for four hours for him. Grrr

I've never been asked out in the street either. Now I've slipped into the invisible age bracket. I was pretty invisible anyway!

unescorted yes! Summer/easter, anything holidayish in the next 2 years Grin. Any help would be amazing! Truly.

I think a nsd.

ememem84 · 12/02/2019 18:06

Rested a bit today.

Couch nap and woke up to about 50000 messages and missed calls from dh.

Nursery had called and needed to give ds paracetamol. Fine. Not a problem. Dh has made him an appointment with the dentist because his gums are bleeding at night time.

I think it’s either his dummy rubbing, teething, or both. But worth checking out.

Annoyingly dh has scheduled the appointment on a day where dparents were to sit in and wait for a delivery. Dh has asked me to take ds to appointment as he can’t as busy with work (so why book appointment when you can’t go?!) and then wants to know whether dparents can pick him up. Sigh.

I’ve asked him to sort it out.

Lovemaltesers · 12/02/2019 18:10

I'll pm when I get a moment lonely as I used to work in that kind of law place

Wolfcub · 12/02/2019 18:22

Takeaway £25. Don’t judge me I can’t face the supermarket and can’t face inventing something with the dregs of the fridge

Signed up for the Tefal MN product test Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/02/2019 18:43

No judging here wolf. You are having a tough time at the minute.
£12.60 on chair felt pads to protect my floor from the in laws inability to lift chairs.
£2.10 on tortilla wraps.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/02/2019 18:46

No judgement here wolf just envy!!

Am also laughing at being chased down the street as you look like a strong woman! People are so ridiculous.

I've had an okay day, told a few people at work re the new job. They were all shocked but pleased for me.

Nsd but will need to pop out for bread in a min as nothing for the pack lunches tomorrow.

SnugglySnerd · 12/02/2019 19:04

NSD. Hooray! Totally exhausted tonight though.

Justanothermile · 12/02/2019 19:07

Bread is my annoyance in this house girlie. I seem to be the only person capable of getting another loaf out of the freezer in the garage!

Enjoy the takeaway wolf, I honestly think you've a tough load on at present. You manage bloody well.

Criminal law lonely, that's an interesting and lucrative career choice. Competitive. I've now been through the university application process twice in the last two years, happy to help with anything you might need to know.

Oh blimey unescorted, I'm not sure what I'd make of that one!!

Glad your DS had a lovely birthday moi, I love a chickpea curry.

Today's spends
£56 Matalan on three thick sweatshirts, I'm sick of being cold on dog walks.
£21 Marks and Spencer.

Tonight's meal is mushroom bourguignon, so cheap and healthy. I picked up loads of cheap veggies today in M&S so my existing stuff will be made into broth tomorrow.

Cagliostro · 12/02/2019 19:08

No judgment here either. Spent an absolute fortune myself on takeaways etc last month.

DH stripped the rest of the wallpaper from the bathroom today, and took the blind down (broken when we moved in)

I spent most of the day on the sofa, I did manage to make soup but that was it and I felt even worse and couldn’t even make it up the stairs without sitting down halfway. Eventually I realised that the flu like symptoms (I do get hit hard by colds, just because of the CFS/fibro, but this has been extreme even for me) plus the fact I’ve been ignoring random shooting pains in my right boob for a fortnight... might mean mastitis Hmm unfortunately I only joined the dots at 5pm so will have to ring for triage at the GP first thing tomorrow.

Justanothermile · 12/02/2019 19:08

snuggly, you've three small dc and you work, you poor thing - no wonder you're exhausted.

SneakyGremlins · 12/02/2019 19:10

You've just reminded me to take a loaf out jam Blush

Cagliostro · 12/02/2019 19:15

I’ve just had to tell DD off for taking a loaf out :o she was meant to just take her slices out and put the rest back in

Wolfcub · 12/02/2019 19:19

Jam you need a didirikson coat

I was on a work call earlier and I spent ages watching two springers, one pup, go mad in the fields behind my house. One climbed halfway up the trunk of a mature ash tree (totally outs self to the colleague I was on the phone with)

Justanothermile · 12/02/2019 20:03

Take that loaf out of the freezer sneaky😁

Springer love❤️

I've not heard of that brand wolf, being honest. I should do shouldn't I given I'm outside for most of my life.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/02/2019 20:19

NSD
So tired today, very draining, doing intensive interaction. Very good for the children and definitely worth it, but exhausting for me.
Will be going to bed soon.

Wolfcub · 12/02/2019 20:25

Jam they are the dogs bollocks of outdoor coats. Recommended by someone on Mumsnet who worked in the trade. I am on my third. My dm is on her second. Totally waterproof. Totally warm. My current one is also made from completely recycled fabric
