I think I’ll give that a go too Curls

Sea I know what you mean about hair destroying. It only takes a tiny bit of damp to make mine look like a haystack so today is going to be a disaster. Unfortunately it’s too short to tie back at the moment.

Justanothermile · 29/11/2018 09:11

I'm the same re hair, and am definitely going to try that recipe.

I've not kept up the last few days.

Spends
£35 Seedballs, thanks north, that covers A LOT of folk we buy a tiny present for (most folk, prior agreement, cost cutting). Good enabling.
£70 fuel, might have posted that before.
£150 wine (expenses claim, as it's for clients for distribution at Christmas).
£100 Sainsbury's but utilised a £13.50 coupon by buying all the chocolate/fresh coffee/posh stuff that I need for Christmas, and I'm going to complain as there's loads of subs.
£20 veg box, will last me fucking ages as there's so much, they know and like me!! And we don't eat meat so save a fortune there.

In other news, DD has gotten her self an interview at the university that seacow attended, so we are very excited and proud.

Lovemaltesers · 29/11/2018 09:30

Well done jam DD

DP has rung me to say our new oven will be installed next Thursday, not today Sad He misread the email.

Catching up with home/life admin today whilst waiting for numerous parcels to be delivered.

Could do with a trip to the shops if the deliveries arrive in good time. We need more microwave/hob food

Cagliostro · 29/11/2018 09:57

Sounds great curls thanks

Glad the sickness bug was over quickly as it meant I could still go to the dentist today (over 48h). Crown fitted. Still free despite expemption ending, as it was only delayed because the first one didn’t fit.

That’s me done for six months! I am ridiculously proud of myself for finally going. I also told him that when I registered I put my anxiety rating out of ten as really high, but I can now knock it down to zero. He looked all proud of that too, as well he should.

I have a headache from hell now but that always seems to happen after drilling and stuff. Everyone else is out anyway so I have some peace and quiet.

AutumnLeaves12 · 29/11/2018 10:18

Girlie Going back on wheat would be nice, but unfortunately not possible. We tried it and it really didn't go well.

We've just been asked by a paediatrican to move ds to a coeliac diet, which means no magic readybrek or coco pops to get him the iron that keeps the viruses away. Also cutting out most of the oats that are his staple.

We've been referred to a dietician to try to find an iron supplement that doesn't disagree with him. I'm hoping she knows 'er stuff, because I've looked pretty hard already.

SneakyGremlins · 29/11/2018 10:42

Hope it goes well Autumn Flowers

MeadowHay · 29/11/2018 10:48

It is grim over here. DH has a cold and it's got so bad that he's off sick today. DD has been ill for a week, took her to the GP this morning and she has bronchiolitis, gave me a saline nasal spray to use as well as the paracetamol and vapour rub we are already using. Apparently days 5-8 are usually the worst so I'm hoping she will start to recover over the next few days, I've barely left the house in a week! HV is coming this afternoon too, a new one as I switched GP surgeries recently.

Probs be an NSD unless I make it out again for milk later but it's pissing it down atm.

I'd love a veg box, but there's only us 2 and guinea pig - the 2nd one is being rehomed soon because unfortunately they just do not get on Sad. Would we be able to get a small enough one so there isnt waste? Where do you get them from, and does it work out much more expensive than supermarket veg?

Happierwithouthim · 29/11/2018 11:01

Good financial news I won €20 and my cashback for grocery shop has been confirmed €10
Yesterday spent €10 on entry for myself & au pair to Christmas Show and €5 on raffle tickets.

Today I'm getting my hair done but my hairdresser owes me €33.75 for ticket to comedian next week so that'll reduce my bill, plus I'm going typing her college work for her so maybe my hair bill will be reduced to zero Hmm

Going to a cookery demo tonight €15 it's a fundraiser for my friends childs school and a nice night out combined, we're going to get bar food too so probably another €15

I need to go to aldi and buy dates, lemon curd, pataks style curry paste & pink gin for Saturday night and I think I'm done then Grin

ememem84 · 29/11/2018 11:37

Y’all need to talk me down from my anxiety perch.

I take cilest. Every evening. Before I go to bed. Like clockwork. Never miss it. Stopped on Sunday for my free week. Still no period. Usually by tues or weds of the free week it’s arrived.

I know stress can affect things. So am hoping it’s just playing silly buggers.

Talk me down. And hoping and praying I come on today. should have worn white skinny jeans

Thanks curls

em lots of things play havoc, but have you been on antibiotics by any chance? It's only one day late right now, that's not a lot. Clearblue Digital will tell you for sure one way or the other, not frugal but if it puts your mind at rest?

Justanothermile · 29/11/2018 11:54

Aww poor GP's not getting on meadow. We eat tons and tons and tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of veg😂, but hardly any fruit. I get ours delivered from our local market and the value is incredible, I know there's a few nationwide ones like Abel and Cole or Riverford, but these seem pricey tbh. I only buy extra peppers and mushrooms as we do eat even more than average of these. Plus, we don't buy meat (unless DS is home and he's happy with veggie most of the time), so it's a frugal way to live.

Oh no love, you were so looking forward to an oven....

How long in the IP curls? I'm going to give it a go tonight with jacket spuds.

Lovemaltesers · 29/11/2018 11:58

Cilest has always been reliable and no accidents for me em, but I honestly can't pinpoint a normal day for period to appear. I'm sure it varies

But yes take a test for your peace of mind xx

Unescorted · 29/11/2018 12:07

em I would love to but DD is almost 17. You need to piss on a stick. Chances are it is nothing & will start as soon as you take it out of its package so it can't be returned.

Autumn Morn Flake do a gluten free oat. We got some sent when DS did some promo work for them. I don't know what they are like because I gave them away... There are only so many a family can scoff.

Jam you must be super proud.

AutumnLeaves12 · 29/11/2018 12:21

Thanks unescorted. I wish food was just easy. Everything would be much much easier if food just worked.

ememem84 · 29/11/2018 12:22

Surely the gp considered this when she started you on them Em Shock

Just had to pay outfox the market £53 and we swap providers on Saturday 🙄 the 7th.

Unescorted · 29/11/2018 12:30

autumn I don't know how you cope. I find it difficult enough without any off limit foods. Mine are just picky eaters. Dh being the worst.

ememem84 · 29/11/2018 12:40

I was on them before ds so knew what I was getting into but things have been fine (ish) for ages. Although saying that everything kicked off 3 days early last month. Ffs.

Obviously the correct response to my plight is “no don’t worry it’ll be fine!” Haha!

£44 in local cook shop on cake tins (a nesting set of 5 for keeping cake in) a plastic chopping board and a dinosaur cookie cutter.

I want to get 3 flat baking sheets that take up most of the oven shelf... So I can do larger batch biscuits. They need to be good and sturdy. They are rarer than hens teeth.

Unescorted · 29/11/2018 13:21

Well blow me down and call me Nigel! We have all been given an extra day off over Christmas.

Bornlazy · 29/11/2018 13:22

Don't worry em it'll be fine Grin - actually I do believe that, I really do.

CurlsandCurves · 29/11/2018 13:34

unescorted that’s great news, what a lovely surprise!

Fingers crossed for you em

em Don't worry it will be fine i think you need to POAS

cag Well done on getting the dentist treatment, I hate the dentist too.

Spendy couple of days on Christmas shopping, it was payday yesterday so that helps!

Really annoyed with Santander, a Standing Order (SO) got refused due to me not moving the money over from savings account to current account, so I manually moved the money over after receiving a text in the morning. I phoned on the day to ask about charges etc and they said as I had paid the money in before 2pm there would be no charges. I received an email last night about unpaid SO and that charges would be payable. I phoned them this morning and was told that charges would be payable and if I want them waived I need phone back after 20th Dec as they can't do it now. Does this sound right?

ememem84 · 29/11/2018 13:47

am contemplating running out of work to boots and buying stick to pee on
