Fuck that, email the ceo.

AutumnLeaves12 · 29/11/2018 14:00

Thanks Unescorted. The hardest thing is the worry about what will happen if heaven forfend I should feed him something slightly different from the norm. For example Rice Krispies are fine, but Corn Flakes give him a whole night of abdominal pain. Neither have wheat in them, but neither are coeliac approved because of barley malt flavouring.

Then I get told off for being an anxious mother which annoys the crap out of me and is hard to disagree with, because I am an anxious mother.

However, a neighbour of mine who is a consultant medic has a child with all the same problems, and she has all the same worries and frustrations about trying different foods on her ds, and about being called anxious, so that really helps me to feel that I am not alone in the problem.

Oddly, ds is not picky really because he never gets given anything that won't work well with his system so he is very trusting of food. #Error

I just had my clarinet lesson and I am learning to read timing from sheet music. I'm properly excited about that because that's a thing that I have never been able to do before. £20

Unescorted · 29/11/2018 14:11

fluffy you will be on the CEO blacklist 😀

Autumn who wouldn't be anxious? Feeding your children is a bit of a fundamental part of being a parent. If you were less vigilant I am sure there would be a queue of people ready to pass judgement on your lax parenting. Don't let what others think you should be doing get you down.

Em piss on the stick and put yourself out of misery.

Justanothermile · 29/11/2018 14:24

#sigh.

Thanks for the congratulations, she's done really well. She's a worker, she grafts hard for her reward, so deserves it.

Thanks Curls, I'm making tonight. What a fab and frugal recipe.

Agree Nursie, Facebook, Twitter, CEO.

GET THEE TO BOOTS EM!!!

Just found out I've got a place in the Berlin Marathon next year - wow, cool.

AutumnLeaves12 · 29/11/2018 14:30

Unescorted That comment about poas made me laugh out loud. Grin We should all do it out of solidarity to Em. I like to poas as much as anyone.

Thanks for the encouragement. Grin

Unescorted · 29/11/2018 14:34

jam awesome!

Justanothermile · 29/11/2018 14:36

unescorted - expensive😂😂

NursieBernard · 29/11/2018 14:41

CEO emailed Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/11/2018 15:13

unescorted hello Nigel 😆

Wow jam that's exciting, well done!

Eek em yes poas!

autumn there's nothing wrong with being an anxious mother, we are allowed to worry about our kids. Better than being a mum who doesn't care!

I'm at work waiting for a colleague, another busy day but the end is in sight as I finish at 4!!

ememem84 · 29/11/2018 15:20

Oh ffs. I’m going to have to aren’t I. Will head to boots once I’m done at work.

I know they’re only 99% effective but also know that if you take them properly everything is usually fine. And I have been taking them properly.

I’ve been back on them for a year and oddly do vaguely remember something like this happening the first time I went on them...

I’m drinking loads of water today anyway to flush out the cold. So keep having to pee. So I can check....

Justanothermile · 29/11/2018 15:37

25 minutes then girlie.😁

Won't that dilute any hormones though em? Especially early doors.

Just booked a night away for DH and I for our Christmas present. This is specifically because we have a 'no tat' policy in force, the cost of the break is cheaper than the likely cost of tat bought, I got an offer etc.

AutumnLeaves12 · 29/11/2018 15:42

Thanks Girlie. Grin

Em the sticks are 50 for £2.50 on amazon if you plan to do it a lot.

ememem84 · 29/11/2018 16:05

Probably jam

Aaaaaah.

I should really stop googling.

Apparently if you use them properly (which I have) you can’t produce an eggy anyway. And the stuff can’t get through the mucus as it’s too thick and kills it. I’m mostly drinking loads so I can go check frequently. paranoid me no way!

I've just phoned DS's landlord for next year as I was concerned that we'd be liable for rent arrears for his house mates, and there's no guarantor scheme. I've been reassured not, they'd pursue the debtor initially but they've never had any reason to chase in 15 years of student rentals. I won't even tell him I rang, I wouldn't expect him to consider things such as this, but I needed to know obviously.

LonelyOversharer · 29/11/2018 18:28

Late to the party, em whatever happens you will be fine, and you know you have taken them absolutely properly, so if you are the 1% you go with it and know you did nothing wrong.

What got deleted? I always miss the deletions.

Big shake up coming at work. The girl who does the job I like best is leaving. I would like her job very much, but I think they are going to fill it with me and someone else who really doesn't know how to do the specific jobs on a part time basis. We shall see.

£8 postage, and £15 in the co-op, pizza for tea.

Thatsnotmybaby · 29/11/2018 19:10

Hope you are experiencing terrible (and terribly reassuring) PMT right now @ememem84 Grin.

Spends today:
£18 hairdresser
£66 supermarket (incl. big stock up on coffee capsules)

northender · 29/11/2018 19:20

Great news for your dd Jam & definitely sensible to check about the rental property for next year.
It'll be fine Em , whatever happens!
Christmas shopping day with dh today. Quite successful. Obviously spendy but manageable. Nice tapas lunch out.
Need to update spreadsheet now, it's looking good as dh has had his pay rise back paid.

Unescorted · 29/11/2018 19:26

lonely make sure they know you want the job. I always expect people to have psychic abilities. And then am disappointed when others get the best jobs.

Thats she has had plenty of time to pee. Especially as she has been drinking loads of water...

I am a bit peeved with dh .... He is working away for 2 weeks from tomorrow but has decided that he would spend time with the village dullard after work. Didn't bother calling me - messaged one of the kids. I am sure he wouldn't be so keen to do that... Except she is 25 years younger. I don't think she is stupid enough ....he just wanted an ego massage.

Wolfcub · 29/11/2018 19:34

Lovely but spendy day

£13 parking
£70 afternoon tea for two - happy dm through so worth it
£25 dgm birthday present
£9 Xmas token gift for each member of my team. Sort of on the seed theme but Christmas tree seeds.
£11 on a bauble, genius stocking fillers and ready readers in an absolutely amazing shop. Swedish, basically the toy equivalent of Ikea. It was bloody brilliant
£30 on a bracelet dm chose as part of her present
£31 jumper for df, about another £10 on a book for him
£20 on wine, Xmas decs and a load
£4.95 on
£8 fat rascals and buns.
Can’t remember what the hell else I’ve bought but I’ve made a major dent in the remaining Xmas shopping I had to do.

Will go and read back in a minute and catch up on all your news.

Justanothermile · 29/11/2018 20:00

curls - utterly delicious, I only added a couple of small chopped preserved lemons, dab of harissa. It's made a huge vat of it, super frugal. Dd helped make it, so she's aware of the fact this would feed a student for s week with rice, jacket spuds etc. Thanks.

Decedantly damcing towards December - frugaleering Christmas ahoy!
Justanothermile · 29/11/2018 20:01

I'd be peeved too unescorted....

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/11/2018 20:06

Well done Jam dd.
Lonely tell them you want the job.
What was deleted?
Pleased you had a good day wolf.

Em, do you have any other symptoms? Did you with DS. It will be fine and if you are out will be fine too.

£13 to to shop. Long day today so I can be of half day tomorrow.

SneakyGremlins · 29/11/2018 20:15

Can you believe I spent £1.79 on prosecco for the bloody cat today. "Pawsecco".

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/11/2018 20:16

I'm guessing it was spam that got deleted?

Busy evening here, after work dd wanted to make cookies for a club she is going to tomos so helped her with that, made dinner, did a load of washing, cleared the kitchen up twice and then went out to pilates!!

The cookies taste amazing and there are loads of them, will make them again I think, the recipe said you can freeze the dough balls and just make them when you want them which seems like a brilliant idea.
