Wreck It Ralph 2 is AWESOME. Really worth the wait, lots of humour for the parents too (we didn’t even have any kids with us). Watch right to the end of the credits (RIGHT to the end) if you see it.

I need to send an email to clubcard though and possibly Bella Italia as there were big clubcard issues that meant we were waiting ages to pay. All got a bit ridiculous for various reasons. Wasn’t too stressed as still sitting with friend chatting, but thinking also I’d normally have fed the baby by now.

Then phoned a taxi, specifically asked the cost (fixed price not a meter) as I only had a fiver and no cashpoint, because I’d given an extra tip to the lovely patient waitress (also got her name because I will mention her in the email) and they said 4.60. Friend left to get train. Waited ages, no taxi. My phone died. Waited longer. Asked back in cinema if they had a phone I could use, girl I asked didn’t know Confused and the queue was massive and not in sight of the pick up point. Went to another restaurant instead who let me, taxi had apparently marked me as a no show ages ago Hmm ordered another one who then said when he dropped me off that it was £5.40! And I didn’t have it :( he let me off eventually but was annoyed. He was correct, as the leisure park bit doesn’t count as town centre, so the person on the phone must have read the charts wrong. I felt bad but it’s not my fault I was misquoted :(

So all in all not a great afternoon. Might do some Christmas shopping while in emotional spending mood 😂

Wolfcub · 08/12/2018 18:21

Sneaky that’s brilliant. You need a plan for using that. Wooo

Cag definitely complain it’s not good to have to be waiting so long to pay. You know what our lovely Fluffy would say

Dinner is smelling amazing and should be ready in time for strictly. God I love my IP

Wolfcub · 08/12/2018 18:21

Quite I love this week’s name by the way

Quiteisnotinthedanceoff · 08/12/2018 18:28

Ha ! Wolf
Its because Im annoyed Pashley keep being bottom 2 every week.Xmas Grin
I really want Lauren and AJ to go now.
Its nearly time ..

Have had a super busy day, decided to go local for food shopping but ended up knackered.
Bakery bread and sausage rolls £10.45 (lots for freezer)
Spuds big sack 25 kg washed red £8
Veg and fruit £7.45
Came back and a very kind person had made all my Kallax up 😍

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/12/2018 19:34

We've had a nice day, was lovely having my niece for a bit she is such a cutey. I took her to see father Christmas and she freaked 😂 she wouldn't look at him let alone sit on his knee, so funny! Cost £7 and she got a gift for that.

Spent £6 in the shop on a couple of bits and another £5 in the cafe. I've not really done any Christmassy stuff so dont think that's too bad.

Watching strictly now, we are still team Stacey.

ememem84 · 08/12/2018 19:40

I’m team anyone but pashley. Can’t stand them they’ll win no doubt.

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/12/2018 19:50

My ds won't go near santa either. He thinks he's creepy and wrong.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/12/2018 19:55

Good for you Sneaky, that’s more compo than I’ve ever got so they must realise how much they’ve fucked up.

Cag Definitely complain.

Wolf I knew you’d like the ip. If you work ft and you have kids they must be a lifesaver.

Nsd.

northender · 08/12/2018 20:00

Sounds like you've had a lovely day girlie.
jam ds is improving, but very slowly. He's still on antibiotics & for at least another 2 months but his eyes are better than they were. The fatigue is still a problem, but college is going well. He will get there & he'll be stronger for it in the end.
I've had a lovely day with dd. Not frugal, but really enjoyable. Home now, watching Strictly.

Must study tomorrow.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/12/2018 20:02

Hi all!

Laksa really sorry to hear your news. It’s so hard losing a parent Flowers

North well done to your DD. And go go the Green Army!

Sneaky that’s quite a result Shock

Quite I think Lauren needs to go now too. She’s done well but I hope won’t get to the final at the expense of one of the better dancers. I will be watching it on catch up shortly... gotta get the kids to bed first.

It’s been a mad day. Some friends came over for lunch (2 couples, with 2 kids each) so my dining table was at complete capacity with 12 of us. I cooked with 1.5 bottles of wine and we drank another 4 so it ended up a bit expensive. But we take it in turns to host. Adults sat in the kitchen for a bit while the kids went feral in the play room. I have Never. Seen. So. Much. Mess. Seriously. It’s all been tidied up by the kids but I doubt everything is back with its parts /in its place so I will have a sift through tomorrow. Was great fun though. And I survived without an oven.

I made 3 big trays of rocky road yesterday. I was thinking of covering it in chocolate and trying to make the pieces look like reindeer (pretzels for antlers, a glace cherry for a nose and pipe on eyes). But I am too tired for all that so will sprinkle a bit of glitter instead! A friend is letting me use her oven tomorrow to make cheese scones for my local Autism group’s bake sale. Once that’s done and I’ve done my volunteer slot at the school Christmas fete I’m going to collapse in a heap - it’s been a busy weekend.

SnugglySnerd · 08/12/2018 20:33

Wow! Well done Sneaky.

I've been wondering why there have been so few Argentinean tangos in Strictly this year. I love Pascha though!

Quiteisnotinthedanceoff · 08/12/2018 20:48

I adore Pasha 😍
He has always been my fave .
Dont want Pashley to win though -it annoyed me they were in the bottom two as it was then bleedin obvious who was going to leave .
Think it will be Stacey,Joe and Faye .
I dont really mind who wins, although I cant stand Kevin twonk

Wolfcub · 08/12/2018 20:49

Of the remaining contestants I’d like Faye to win. I Didn’t expect to like her but I do

Thatsnotmybaby · 08/12/2018 21:05

Sounds like a lovely day @ChristmasSeacow. I love that feeling when the party or gathering is over, the day has gone well and your hosting duty is well and truly done Smile.
NSD for me; need to order the last couple of gifts for DS tomorrow though.

Thatsnotmybaby · 08/12/2018 21:09

@CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces, I need to check what I have too, especially for DD as I don't think I have very much at all; she's only 1 and doesn't need much, especially as she has all her brother's toys to play with, but she needs a few little bits to open all the same.

SnugglySnerd · 08/12/2018 21:45

We're in for a bad night. The dts have been unsettled all evening. I dread going to bed some nights because it's like torture being woken up all night.

ememem84 · 08/12/2018 21:59

Oh snuggly poor you! I hope you get some sleep xxx

It’s hella windy here. Coast roads have been closed as we have stupidly high tides and strong winds. It is howling outside. I’m just glad we don’t have any garden furniture. Next doors netball post has gone over already and down the roads trampoline has been tied down.

The rain is pounding against the windows and the wind is awful.

Ds sounds like he’s stirring a little. Hopefully he sleeps.

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/12/2018 22:51

I hear ya snuggly. ds's been in his own bed for three weeks

Wolfcub · 08/12/2018 22:56

It’s blowing a hoolie hear again. I’ve taken the unprecedented step of closing the bedroom window to keep the noise out

Em and Snuggly I hope the wee ones sleep better than you expect

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/12/2018 23:00

The weather's fierce here too, and we don't usually even have weather.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 08/12/2018 23:24

It's windy here too but the rain has let up for now

I've decided to definitely save the £300 Smile
