Will check those out!

If anyone or their DCs likes Nailed It on Netflix there's a holiday season on there now Grin

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 08/12/2018 00:10

Oh and Flowers to all you lovely frugaleers for putting up with my whinging - do tell me to stfu if necessary!

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/12/2018 00:11

Whinging is mandatory on here.

Cagliostro · 08/12/2018 00:17

OMG EM!!! 😱😍
You know what? When I POAS last spring my first thought was “oh god”. When DH walked into the room I threw the positive test at him (with the lid on I might add).

It’s scary. But oh my god. The love for your new one, it won’t just be the same “amount” again. It will be even more than that, because seeing C with their little sibling will just be a whole new ball game of mind blowing awesomeness.

Be scared, panic, cry, panic again... this too shall pass 💐

Thanks all for the birthday wishes. Been a lovely day. DD safely at sleepover having fun it seems. DSS came round in the evening, he is so lovely with his baby sister despite huge huge age gap (DH is waaaay older than me). We all reckon he’s getting a bit broody (his GF certainly is). No more babies from us (barely have the chance to make one or practice 🙄😡) but maybe I’ll be a step grandma in the next few years 🙈😂😍

Laska my dear I am glad to see you but so very sorry about your mum xxx

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 08/12/2018 00:22

Oh don't make me broody Cag!

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/12/2018 00:36

Cag Very well said.

btw, When ds came on the way I showed dh the stick and he didn't believe me. I had to do 8 tests before he agreed that it must mean something. Fortunately they're very cheap on amazon.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 08/12/2018 00:39

Eight? Shock

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/12/2018 00:40

He was very very unconvinced.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 08/12/2018 00:42

I can tell!

Wrongwayup · 08/12/2018 06:44

So sorry laska no matter how ill or old they are you are never ready. 💔

ememem84 · 08/12/2018 07:38

Morning all. Thanks for your kind words and congrats.

Amazed I got any sleep last night my head was buzzing but catface looked after me.

It will be ok. The fear will pass. And it will be awesome. So many positives in this.

Still can’t quite believe it. But there we go.

For whoever asked I don’t think we dtd on ds’ birthday. Maybe on mine which was a few days after....(beginning of oct). But itsactually difficult to know because I thought the pill was working. So back to the dr on Monday to get booked in for an early scan to find out for sure. Hoping they can do this in the next week or so.

Oh my goodness Em! I know it's a shock but what a lovely surprise too. It will be hard with 2 so little but when they are a bit older they will be so close in age it'll be lovely. They will play together. The dts already occupy each other and they are not yet 2.

Lovely to see you back Laska but sorry to hear your news. Flowers

Wolfcub · 08/12/2018 08:05

Morning all happy frugal Saturday. The weather has been epically bad here overnight (and still) so a poor night of sleep all around. My struggling rose arch looks like it’s fiball blown down so when the weather calms I will have to see if there’s anything I can do to rescue my two climbers.

Ds has contact this morning so need to get up and take him. I am not looking forward to driving in this. Then df an I are putting some shelves up before I pick ds up again.

I’m hoping for a quiet afternoon as ds has a busy day on Sunday and of course I will be the wheels.

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/12/2018 08:11

Morning
Spendy day yesterday but I believe I am fine for the big day. Just food left to get.

Hair cuts today, riding lesson and footy. Out with the girls tonight for a curry. Not feeling it though

Justanothermile · 08/12/2018 08:16

Laska I'm so sorry for your loss. There's never an easy time or way I wouldn't imagine.

Glad you are getting used to things Em, a small age gap is tough initially, I'm not going to pretend, but past that - then you see the benefits. Cag is right, seeing your DC play together, and at my twos age - be friends, it's worth it.

It's my club Christmas do tonight but I won't be drinking much and the meal is paid for, I'm driving to Oxford and back tomorrow.

Otherwise, run, iron, clean out car and possibly gym.

ememem84 · 08/12/2018 08:43

Woken up feeling sick, have a stuffy nose and the wierd metallic taste in mouth. And am starving. This is what happened with ds. It’s almost as though my brains now accepted it. So we’ve flipped into preggo mode.

Dh now has to clean catfaces litter box (until I get some disposable gloves which I’m not going to do...)

And I may need to stock up on sparkling water salt and vinegar squares and tangy haribo strawbs.

hello again. I felt a bit bad landing back here with both feet plonk hard down commenting on your great news Em with mine not so. Apologies , for that (Also it now feels a bit a stalker-like..)

I havent been lurking as such, just reading on and off and happened to see the thread just at that time..

Anyway , great news even if unexpected.. you will have such fun with two littlies even if it right now seems daunting.. Good job you got the new house...

ill write more about me another time, but it has been a fairly tough few months here,..

I do need to get back to seriously frugaleering ( some of you may have noticed I have been hanging out on the Hush tread for rather too much retain therapy !. I've also been doing a lot of travelling, staying away and other purchasing to help out with DMs ..the budget has completely disintegrated.. and its christmas !

I've also gone part-time at work , and DH tells me that he really Is 9this time ) going to retire after Christmas we shall see)

lots of you i dont recognise so i expect some name changes . (mine was slightly changed due to a Hush thread joke!)

Wolfcub · 08/12/2018 09:06

My refund from Microsoft for the vbucks bought on the wrong account has been done - 12 hour service turnaround is pretty good especially given all the negative comments on the inter web about their process.

Ds is being a so and so. This has been all week now and I am fed up. End of term needs to happen soon.

Right off to brave the roads

Laska it is so lovely to have you back. I think we still have a few missing but I hope they follow you back in.

Em definitely don’t buy the gloves Grin

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/12/2018 09:07

It's always lovely to see you back laska. We miss you when you're away.

I have name changed, but I used to be Ipsos, and sunny, and a few things in between.

Happierwithouthim · 08/12/2018 09:12

Laska I'm from Ireland Wink

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/12/2018 09:17

Weather horrible here as well and it's so dark!

I'm looking after my little niece this afternoon which I'm looking forward to, she is only 4yo might take her to see father Christmas somewhere...

Need to get some food as fridge is empty and no bread.

Unescorted · 08/12/2018 09:32

Morning peeps.

Em congratulations. As others have said the 2nd is like riding a bike. You will soon get in the swing of things. As well you completed your house move.

Cag happy birthday for yesterday.

Laska lovely to see you again. Sorry it isn't in better circumstances.

Sneaky hope you are feeling better today. There is a lot of bug soup about.

Wolf it is grim here too. I am considering staying in bed all day.

It was the work crimbo dinner last night... I was bought drinks all night b/c it was noticed that I have a reverse hockey stick delivery profile. This is considered a very good thing. I now have a hangover.

Happierwithouthim · 08/12/2018 09:36

I relaxed so much watching tv my Fitbit thought I was asleep & again when I was reading in bed from 7am Smile

Off out on spa date now with a friend
New instant pot is on its way & I'm just dropping old one off at post office this morning

It's wet & windy here which has helped me establish I need new wipers!

northender · 08/12/2018 09:42

Oh Em congratulations! What a great time to have got the house sorted. Glad you're getting used to the idea now.
Laska sorry for your loss, lovely to see you back at the same time.
Jam good luck to your dd next week. A friend's daughter is going for interviews too. Exciting but nerve wracking times. When does ds come home?
Cag glad you're feeling a bit better & that you had a good birthday.

Busy, busy week here, hence my lack of posting. I've been busy with study and dd was prepping for her drama exam. She's done group exams before but wanted to challenge herself with an individual one. She's been committed to it for 5 years now so we agreed to pay for some extra lessons so that she could do it. Anyway, she worked really hard & has just found out this morning that she got distinctions in both group and individual exams & got the highest mark in her individual. To say she's pleased is a massive understatement! It hasn't been frugal, but so well worth it.
Dh & ds are away for the weekend in Devon for football so dd & I are having a chilled time. We're having a mulled wine & mince pie afternoon here next Sunday so one of our jobs is to make some Delia mincemeat and to try some mince pie prototypes. Christmas music will be obligatory!
Christmas shopping is almost done & hasn't been too stressful. Dh and I have Friday off so that will be wrapping time.
Have a good weekend everyone.

ememem84 · 08/12/2018 10:02

Ds is busy not napping. I’m sorting laundry and listening to him singing.

I could use a nap! Didn’t sleep well as mind was going a mile a minute.

There’s part of me that’s hoping that I’m firther along than we think. Then maybe the sucky feeling will go quicker.

Also, is there someone else on the thread who’s pregnant? Did I joke a while ago about there always having to be two of us....? Haha!
