You can get free Spotify.

Kitkatmonster · 03/12/2018 21:36

cag - my eldest is a 26 back but we had to go with 28 because a 26 seems practically non existent. I bought online from brastop.

AutumnLeaves12 · 03/12/2018 21:42

Girlie I don't either. I don't feel the loss really. I do have amazon prime for next day delivery, and I pay monthly for Tesco delivery because there are a lot of days where I can't get out to the shops for health reasons, and having next day delivery really helps with keeping the house going.

I'm thinking though, if Sneaky could get a loaf of bread and 4 cheese slices for the £1.78 he paid for Cat Prosecco, then he could have that once a week for 43 weeks of the year if he dumped prime and just waited for the longer free delivery. Might be good. #TastyCheese

Evening all...
I have 2x new customer ocado discount codes if anyone wants them. Min spend £60 max reward £25 gives 30% off. To be used by 13/1/19. PM if you want the number.

Sneaky curtains make a huge difference. I got cheapies from the charity shops and lined them with Primani fleece blankets. Draft excluders, hot water bottles, hats, socks all help too. You can reconfigure a hot water bottle box and some fleece blankets into a slow cooker ...we do it when camping. Where you are is always colder than anywhere else except Kirby Steven.

Today's frugal win.... 3 tennis balls for £1.50 means I don't need to go to the physio to get my neck and back unhurty. I also got a £4 yoga block. I will be supple and whippet like.

Bornlazy · 03/12/2018 21:54

Yeah definitely sending it back. Might actually send back a pair of trainers that I don't need either whilst I'm at the post office - kill two birds with the one stone Smile

Cag my friend got a bra from her twelve year old from Primark I'm sure it was a 28AA. It was tiny anyway.

I think if you don't get out much and I might be wrong but I don't think you do Sneaky then having Amazon prime /Netflix can be really useful for your mental health and brighten up an otherwise grim day. Of course it shouldn't have to come before food and heating Sad but we all prioritise things in different ways.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 03/12/2018 22:10

I don't get out much, depression - I use prime video and music daily!

I go out once a day for a walk but not much more really.

Will go searching for curtains!

moimichme · 03/12/2018 22:10

Hope those of you who were struggling are feeling better now and that the rest of you are also well.

I'm exhausted after several days of looking after ds on my own due to DH having to work Saturday and then being sick that night. Sad So at least he got some extra rest Sunday morning unlike me. Even my nice co-workers mentioned that I looked tired today. Sad

I know I should stop myself spending on eating out, but since work is so busy right now, and I'm so tired running after a toddler on my 'days off' (the walking stage was fine...running is a bit terrifying!), I've fallen off the meal planning wagon. Need to make more of an effort because it's such a waste of money! We are really good about not spending frivolously on other things, and we don't waste food, but eating and coffee out is how I treat myself. £2 today on coffee and £2 on sweets because I'm tired and didn't wake up early enough to make some and then get me and ds out the door this morning. At least I brought decent food for lunch! Baby steps.

Right, too tired to contemplate or even think straight now...time for bed.

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/12/2018 22:27

I’ve used fleece on curtains too. Our last rental had little loft insulation because it was boarded out to store cathode ray tv’s & it was so cold. You didn’t so much heat the house as heat the street.

Wolfcub · 04/12/2018 04:57

Morning all happy frugal Tuesday zzzzzzzzzz

Unescorted · 04/12/2018 06:12

Morning peeps.

Ha wolf we aren't living up to the lazy civil service moniker the press would like people to believe. Does that make us traitors?

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2018 06:17

Morning. Train to the city of steel today.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2018 06:18

Where are you off so early wolf?

Wolfcub · 04/12/2018 07:49

The big smoke Life

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/12/2018 08:39

My espresso pump is breaking down. Coffee won’t come out the spouts & the basket broke last night.

I’m looking at moka pots for induction hobs. I NEED espresso for my latte.

I have one treat left in life 🤬

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2018 08:59

Enjoy wolf.

ememem84 · 04/12/2018 09:30

I'm off to see dGP to show my thrilling graphs. Hope 'e likes a graph. Might not.

AutumnLeaves12 · 04/12/2018 10:31

That was fine. I've to take Mondays off this month (instead of working like a fiendy all the time) to see what effect that has.

Happierwithouthim · 04/12/2018 11:13

Spends yesterday
€10 on schoolbag for ds, my friend picked it up so I've not done my returns to argos yet
€25 on haircut for au pair, she did fantastic work getting playroom & dining room ship shape last week
€50 on bootcamp for next two weeks
€10 for school book fair, ds is sick so dd wants to treat him, h gave her €10 also.

Today I was meant to have a meeting about ds's play therapy but it's cancelled, I was going to go home for lunch but now I won't be going to meeting so will need to purchase my lunch from the shop. Could've been a NSD!

ememem84 · 04/12/2018 11:35

And I’ve done ds school application. Waaaaa.

OMG Em he's practically a teenager already.

Kitkatmonster · 04/12/2018 12:58

I’m still at home with a poorly one. I really hope she’s well enough for nursery tomorrow as I have a meeting I really need to be at. I thought she had perked up but she must have just been having an energy burst because I’ve just had to shower and change us both and she’s back in my bed. I’m almost out of calpol and will need it for a bedtime dose at least so it won’t be a NSD. I’m also self employed so every day I spend at home is another day not really earning. I feel really mean saying that, but poorly children don’t help solve money issues.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/12/2018 13:06

Nsd & I made £11 matched betting.

Bornlazy · 04/12/2018 14:05

KitKat I hope your dd is better soon and that, fingers crossed, you don't catch it off of her.

Spendy morning, probably about £150 spent buying food, cat litter (bloody fortune) and sweets to go in with peoples Christmas... I am almost finished Christmas shopping. Just need to wrap it all and find places to keep it Hmm I really need to move off the couch...

Fluffy is the match betting complicated?

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 04/12/2018 14:32

NSD today - catching up on laundry!
