Oh no Meadow that sounds awfully stressful. You must feel the weight of responsibility at the moment if you are the only one still standing! Hope everyone improves soon, especially DD. Respiratory problems are very worrying in babies. And miserable babies are very hard work.

I’ve just Pm’d you (cross posted) about some baby gear that might be useful but I would have left it a couple of days if I’d seen your post first as you have enough to think about! So don’t worry about replying if you’re busy x

Glad you are less anxious today Em.

Sneaky haven’t you been a bit previous about the Pawsecco? It’s not even December yet Grin

Autumn that’s great about DH’s leave. Can you send him to Tesco two days before Christmas? Wink

Went all the way to the other town this morning only to be told it would take 2 hours to open a business bank account Shock so they would need to see me another day (in spite of the fact there was only one other customer there that I could see!) so I’m going back next Thursday. Sigh. This is turning out to be a rather painful mission.

Swept into Debenhams on my way back to the car and managed to find a black jacket for work - none of my jackets fit me so it’s been a bit desperate. £40. And £8 on a dress for DD. And £3 parking. And £24 on tights - I stocked up.

Still need a little top up shop as I’ve not got my arse in gear and ordered Ocado stuff yet.

Santa train tomorrow with the DCs and decs up on Sunday. I’m not feeling festive yet though Confused

Meadow Flowers

Seacow no point buying it for Christmas if he won't drink it!

Wolfcub · 30/11/2018 14:43

Sea I’ve had that happen before with a long term saver account. No one in the bank and two staff available. I took my banking business elsewhere

B&q replaces my lamp. Fluffy you would have been proud - we then spent silly money in Sainsbury’s and the garden centre on decorations but I don’t feel like using any of the family ones this year.

£60 petrol. I was running on fumes again

Meadow that sounds really tough. I hope you all get some sleep and everyone (and every piggy) starts to feel better very quickly

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/11/2018 14:57

Anyone want a free copy of the Christmas easy cook magazine. I seem to have 2.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/11/2018 15:01

autumn the Sainsbury's one will be released on Sunday. I have it in me calendar as I redeem nectar points on it.

Meadow poor you. Being in an ill house on its own is exhausting enough without a screamer. Accept the help. It's not a failure. Good that the medics have your back.
Just survive at the minute, try not to be super woman.

AutumnLeaves12 · 30/11/2018 15:09

Thanks life useful to know. Christmas, not really. Dh not at all keen on shops. I like them well enough though and it will be much much easier on my own.

I just fell asleep all afternoon. Zonk...

SneakyGremlins · 30/11/2018 15:12

Christmas easy cook? Sounds great Grin especially the easy part

ChristmasSeacow · 30/11/2018 15:16

Yes Autumn, at least you won’t have to take DS. Go very early in the day!

Sneaky ah, I see. Gives you time to get some Whisk(er)y instead if he /she doesn’t like it.

My bloody oven is broken again. After being broken for about 4 weeks in the early summer and a very expensive new part. It just isn’t heating up now and I am worried that it will be touch and go to get it fixed before Christmas because the part was a right pain to get hold of last time. Bloody Smeg can Smeg off. That’s the gratitude it shows me after I spent hours last Friday cleaning it Hmm

Better head out and get some hob food. No moussaka for me tonight Angry

Wolfcub · 30/11/2018 15:21

You must have upset it Sea and cleaned off some crusty burned bits that it was really attached to!
Advent calendar made. I am hiding upstairs from ds for a few minutes because he is getting on my wick

ememem84 · 30/11/2018 15:35

I don’t think we did relations until ds was 5 months. It was scary. Didn’t hurt. But still I was terrified. I just got drunk though

Sorry for not doing a proper post but I'm just super excited my instapot arrived today ahead of my Christmas party at mine instead of Monday as predicted so I get to use it for party Grin

Will use it to make dishes ahead & then for rice on the night Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/11/2018 15:58

You still have to cook yourself sneaky. Doesn't come with a chef unfortunately.
Happy to post it foc.

AutumnLeaves12 · 30/11/2018 16:00

christmas good idea. I'm pondering how early I can get away with now. I wondered if people go super-early at Christmas?

SneakyGremlins · 30/11/2018 16:20

Please life - PM me! Smile

Have been to police station about creepy neighbour.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/11/2018 16:30

Oh lord I had one of them when I lived in a flat, got the police involved and she moved out. No wonder her family lived miles away.

Nsd and I made £14 from mb, I can’t remember if I under laid a bet, if I did I made £17 today. I really need to write this stuff down.

wolf I am very proud of you Star

LonelyOversharer · 30/11/2018 16:41

Shit shit shit day at work. That is all.

Was told what is happening with the job I wanted. I am not getting it. I am to do this job while I train someone they like to do it. I was spoken to like I am a piece of shit. Perhaps I am.

SneakyGremlins · 30/11/2018 16:46

He has a CCTV camera pointed at our (mine and nice neighbour's) front door. His front door is the other side of the building, he has no reason to have a camera up this side.

Lonely Flowers

Justanothermile · 30/11/2018 16:47

life - I smiled and nodded and listened to all the things DB had been bought for Christmas... you are also hired for my crew. We need a frugal related name!

Seacow, you swept into Debenhams? You are like the bloody queen😂

fluffy, the skirts are the tricky bit for sure. Our downstairs flooring was fitted just after we'd exchanged contracts and they fitter took the skirts off - smooth lines blah blah. Just about to have the upstairs done.

Go you on the refund wolf.

You'll love the IP happier, there's no going back I promise.

Don't like the idea of creepy neighbours...

£30 M&S, however mainly on bubbly, a bottle for our besties birthday (A Significant One, he usually gets 'nowt).

ememem84 · 30/11/2018 16:47

lonely you are not. You are lovely. And kind. And important. You are not a piece of shit. Fact.

What’s your notice period. Can you leave and finding something else easily?

Xxx

Justanothermile · 30/11/2018 16:58

You bloody well are not Lonely, stop that right now. It sounds like the situation has been handled appallingly. Is there anyone you can talk to about this? This is not a reflection on your lovely self. Not at all. Xx

Wolfcub · 30/11/2018 16:59

Lonely I’ve been in a similar position and it really really sucks but it is not a reflection on you or how wonderful you are it’s a reflection of other people’s assholic behaviour. I am so sorry, I know you probably feel very dissapointed. You’ve achieved so so much this year, you are fantastic and caring and hard working and wonderful and we all love you lots

AutumnLeaves12 · 30/11/2018 17:02

lonely I've seen your work in our lovely cathedral here and you're definitely very talented. I'm sorry that your employer are being dopey like that. It's happened often enough to me tbh as well, so I understand how you feel, and how hard it is to challenge it when you're in a niche industry. If you were in a job where you could easily move to a rival they would treat you much better. [flower]

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/11/2018 17:07

Woah lonely, stop right there. You are so far from shit. They have been twatty to you and it sucks.

Well done Jam. Good going on the poker Face.
Fist bump for the crew. Team frugal go go go.

Got your pm sneaky. Will sort it tomorrow as have scouts tonight. Were the police helpful.?

£71 Aldi, £3.40 m&s, £23 Matalan, £8 Asda,

Lovemaltesers · 30/11/2018 17:09

Just popping in to give lonely a big hug. You are fab!
