Jam Sorry you’ve had a shit week. It will get better. Poor doggy. I hate it when the cats ill, I’d rather be ill instead.

46p on tortilla chips.

AutumnLeaves12 · 11/11/2018 16:39

Wolf that's great to have candles and matches. We were really stuck on holiday when the electricity went off and it was so silly that we just didn't have any of that stuff. I'm making sure to have it to hand at home now.

born that's great that you're planning to head to your gp tomorrow. I'm not had a bad back problem yet but several of my friends of the same age have at the moment and is seems to be no fun at all. Take care there. Flowers

We're off to the orchestra for our latest attempt to look sensible with musical instruments and I can't quite remember whether I took my ranitidine twice by accident, fingers crossed for good luck and competence.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 11/11/2018 17:23

Unescorted I'm going to try convert them to homemade - picked up some Maggi papers first - will try them like that & see how I get on. Lidl had no Cajun so it's plain chicken for this week.
I'm not normally someone who buys ready made anything

€43.50 in Lidl - got kindling for fire €2.99 for bag (there's timber outside that I will break into kindling when I get time!Blush) €1.49 on window clings for Christmas & balance on groceries

Ds didn't cooperate at all at photo shoot Sad so she took photos of dd & offered to take them another time for me if I want. I was so Sad & Angry & Blush. He had a brilliant time at his party.

Em wow at your ds getting so big

Tayto I got flu vaccine on thurs I'm floored by chest infection now so gp is on the cards for me too. I don't want to get sick

My new makeup from boots is ace - ds told me my face looked like I was going to a wedding & really nice 👍 Grin

We watched a movie with dparents last night & ds wouldn't change out of his jeans to go to bed Angry he slept 11pm to 9am and was dry Shock I was sure I'd be peeling off wet denim at 3am Grin

Wolf that looks so organised

H moved out end of sept, he would've thrown out the toothpaste then, I finished it on Wednesday last Grin I'm also using last few shower gels from last Christmas currently.
Dd ate last of her Easter eggs a week ago Grin

Born how are you feeling now?

Great fractions/ratio explanation autumn I liked maths & was good at it in school too & attempted honours maths for leaving but I couldn't cope with the teacher so dropped to pass. It's a big regret but was right decision.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 11/11/2018 17:31

Nsd

Unescorted · 11/11/2018 17:36

jam that is not a good week.

I didn't realise there was so many Strictly fans on here. Stacey 'n' Kev! for the win. I am a bit miffed about he criticism that Lauren got off Darcey about not leaning back more..... The poor woman has half an arm. How is she supposed to lean back further without pulling AJ towards her?.

Wolf that is a natty storage rack. I am tempted to get some for bike bits in the Boy's room and some for the Puds art supplies.

Born I had a milder version of that the other day.... Caused by turning the toast. It has improved slowly with lots of painkillers and stretching exercises.

Thanks for the yoga suggestions. I have started the absolute beginner one on Yoga for Me... I have progressed from sitting straight ( I hadn't realised how crooked I am) to Sun flows (?) And onto core stability and breathing right. It is more difficult than I thought but does instant belly fold remediation.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 11/11/2018 17:41

Evening all
I went out yesterday and got myself a coat, some jeans and a couple of tops. Dd2 also needed new underwear and tights, so that was the best part of £150, including food out.
Plus food shopping £43.

em, my dp should be working when you go and see the spice girls.

wolf I have a couple of those racks, they are great for storage.

born hope your back is better soon

jam sorry you have had such a bad week.

Haven't heard from cag in a while, hope she is ok.

Tomorrow I will find out if there will still be work for me in January, so we shall see.

Also my apprenticeship started in Oct last year and I think I'm right, in thinking, that after the first year is up I should be paid national minimum wage?? They seem to be dragging their feet about it!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/11/2018 18:42

Hi all just checking in,

jam that is a shit week, you're allowed to feel fed up.

autumn not sure where your ds gets his over thinking from 😉

We've had a nice day, went to a friends little girls naming ceremony this morning and then went onto Lyme Regis for a wander. They had stuff on for armistice including a sand picture of a solider which looked amazing and very poignant.

Got fish n chips there £7.20.

I'm missing cag and wreck 😢

Justanothermile · 11/11/2018 18:56

Thanks all. Ddog is actually costing me a fortune, he's only allowed rice chicken and eggs for a week as he has a huge puncture wound in his mouth. I agree, I'd rather be poorly than him. We had to take him home from the vets far too soon on Friday evening as it was 8pm anyway and they were closing (they just saw us as an emergency), so he'd hardly come round from a general. He slept next to me all night but didn't move at all, I kept checking he was breathing....

I'm also really upset about my friends illness and angry about the sad fuckers that think it's okay to beat up a 71 year old runner by separating them from the group they are running with..

I also am really worried about wreck in particular, but only because she's been awol longer, love cag tons too.

Yes curvy, the apprenticeship wage is a travesty anyway imho.

How's your arm now girlie, has it improved?

Bornlazy · 11/11/2018 19:09

I am alternating resting and moving. The pain is bearable. Can self refer to physio through work but will wait until I’ve seen GP tomorrow.

Jam that is awful to do that to a 71yr old, were they badly injured? Hope your friend is ok too. It is hard supporting someone through an illness especially if it’s something that can’t be fixed.

SneakyGremlins · 11/11/2018 19:18

Evening all, not feeling great Sad

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 11/11/2018 19:27

Thanks jam, will be on at them again tomorrow. And what utter bastards to do that to a 71 year old, and sorry about your friend Flowers for you all x

mammynowanauntyIRL · 11/11/2018 19:38

That's terrible about your runner friend & ddog jam someone pm'd wreck & she said she was very busy @cagliostro though Shock

Wrongwayup · 11/11/2018 19:45

Girlie was that Wilfred owen? Saw something in the paper. Nsd but only because at work. About to watch strictly results. Think maybe Danny. Read more about his assault charge as he attacked 2 recycling men as they hadn't done his bin. I would vote him off.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/11/2018 20:05

I am a massive Strictly fan but no time to watch it tonight as I have tonnes of work to do (not much sleep ahead for me Hmm). I am not a fan of DJJ though, just haven’t warmed to him. I am also Team StaceynKevin.

Jam that sounds like an awful week Sad. Really awful. I hope your friends and DDog do as well as possible in the circumstances.

Bad backs are the pits Born. Get well soon.

Wolf that tidy rack also pressed my buttons Grin

Lovely weekend staying with friends. All the kids were well behaved and we had a. Delicious Thai takeaway last night, £40 for our share. DH also bought wine. Probably not a Slimming World triumph not to mention the wine but worth it for such a rare occasion hanging out with lovely friends.

I’ve hidden in Costa working for a bit this afternoon after we got back so £2.20 again for a tea, and £11 top up in Tesco for fruit and some Christmas chocs (including a choc orange for DH’s stocking - Just £1 at the moment). Forgot jacket spuds again.

AutumnLeaves12 · 11/11/2018 20:05

Girlie I can't think where he gets it from either. Me being so Zen an' all. I am not at all afraid of anything. Not even toast.

On the plus side the orchestra went well tonight. Ds showed his piano performance certificate to the conductor and the conductor offered to arrange ds's piano composition for the orchestra to play, so ds can conduct it. Ds is very excited. He does not get this talent from me. I expect at any moment to see a white rabbit with a pocket watch, but nothing so far.

I'm knackered now. Turns out that standing still for two hours in the remembrance parade makes muscles sore just like running a 5km marathon.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/11/2018 20:18

born that sounds grim, having just come out the other side of weeks of upper back pain/nerve pain you have my sympathy. I think rest, heat and gentle movements would be my advice.

jam God that really is the week from hell, hope your friends and your dog all start feeling better soon. My 68yo mum does a lot of running so hearing about your mate makes me feel sick and really angry! My arm is feeling better thanks, annoyingly still got this gastritis to contend with which I think was caused by the naproxen 😣

ememem84 · 11/11/2018 20:20

Who’s going to see the spice girls?! Or yeah....! Me!!!

Nsd here today which is good as yesterday was too spendy those tickets aren’t cheap

I have had to stop and give myself a good talking to today. I’ve drunk zero water. None. And have spent the morning picking at the skin on my thumbs. This is a stress reaction. I’m a bit dehydrated so skin is dry and rough anyway. It is now very painful. Ffs.

Am about to slather on sudocream and put cotton gloves on.

Two items sold on eBay this evening. Yay. So a total of £37 winging its way to me. Yay.

Yes - where is cag?!?!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/11/2018 20:26

wrong no it was of a rifleman called kalbir thapa (may have got the spelling wrong! )

Bornlazy · 11/11/2018 20:41

Girlie wonder if a different ppi might work better for you. My dm has a hiatus hernia and her omeprazole were doing nothing so the dr changed her to lanzoprazole and she is so much better.

I have phoned in sick for work as there is no way I could turn and hoist my patients. I live in the hope that this will vanish as quickly as it came.

LonelyOversharer · 11/11/2018 20:43

Naproxen is the work of the devil. I have yet to hear a positive story about it. But dp said it was brilliant at sorting the nerve pain...right until his innards went gippy. You can buy it over-the-counter in the US Shock

Just watched the end of strictly. I think the only reason Greame got through that vote was everyone was so mesmerised by Oti's bum, they didn't notice his dancing!

Spent quite a lot today. £51 in the Hadrians Wall gifty shop on beautiful locally produced goodies for my parents, £13 in the garden center, £1 on the most amazingly odd grapes (will tag on a photo), and £105 in asda. Not all food, but lots of meat (all red tractor, you have to double check in there, not all the cheese is either).

Have sort of made a pizza cake. Two swiss roll sponges, left flat and sandwiched with cream, made a ring of sponge (using a foil mould, almost successful) for the crust. I even made fruit leather salami, again, mildly successfully (it tastes horrid). Will assemble before tea tomorrow, grated fondant and marzipan makes very passable cheese!

Tired now, and so I am in my bed, watching telly and knitting.

Countdown to a Frugal Christmas, The Friendly Frugaleers still knitting, nattering and money saving!
AdoraBell · 11/11/2018 20:54

NSD for me. DH bought drinks and snacks, we went to a remembrance service in a nearby town.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 11/11/2018 20:57

NSD.

ememem84 · 11/11/2018 21:01

lonely it was mesmerising wasn’t it? What a great figure she has. Curvy and gorgeous. And looks good in neon Lycra cow

Wolfcub · 11/11/2018 21:15

Definitely mesmerising Em, she is a beautiful shapely woman

SnugglySnerd · 11/11/2018 21:20

Agree Lonely I once had a bad reaction to naproxen although not as bad as how I react to codeine!

NSD. DD2 is waking up Sad
