lonely just be careful with Argos 3 for 2 as if you have nine items it will deduct the cost of the three cheapest of the nine. You have to put it through in groups of three similar priced items to get optimum savings. I once bought over £200 of Lego and amongst it had three mini figures and that is what it deducted 3 x £1.99. I had to return it all and buy it again in lots of three.

I have done something to my back and I can hardly walk 😫 I stood up last night from the couch and thought my legs were going to buckle. Whilst I am an old hand at neck pain I have never had lumbar pain before. Lying in bed it’s a dull ache but as soon as I get up it feels as though my spine is going to crumble...

ememem84 · 11/11/2018 11:05

Ouch born

lonely agree with born respect the 3 for 2. Make sure you check them out in seperate batches.

I’ve done this in boots previously it makes a big difference.

Wolfcub · 11/11/2018 11:17

£70 wilkos on storage, stocking fillers and vitamins. It will be worth it if I don’t replace this little lot before using them.

Don’t judge me I know it’s bad

I’m after storage like that wolf for the garage. I’ve just reorganised it.

Wolfcub · 11/11/2018 11:38

I’m now tackling the drawer of doom. If I’m not back in an hour send search and rescue

Justanothermile · 11/11/2018 11:41

Morning.

Sorry, I've been awol this week. It's been a really shit week. My mum falling over, then a close friend having an awful diagnosis (not the one with breast cancer), and on Wednesday one of the runners from a neighbouring club who I train with frequently train with a lot getting attacked while we were out running. Then on Friday Ddog1 getting a horrible mouth injury. Pile of shite of a week.

Anyway, it's over. Done. No point in fussing about it. Life isn't always crap.

Haven't read back sadly but I'll keep up from here on.

Meal plan for a while going forward.

Nut roast and roasted vegetables.
Butternut risotto.
Fennel, olive and new potato bake.
Vegeree.
Black bean and sweet potato chilli.
Home made pizza.
Shredded carrot salad.
Red pepper and chickpea soup.
Apricot, squash and chickpea tagine, giant cous cous.
Minestrone soup
Ratatouille, jacket spuds.
Coconut curry, rice.

Spends were normal but I'll track properly going forward.

Justanothermile · 11/11/2018 11:42

That's a lovely organised rack wolf, warms my heart that does.

Justanothermile · 11/11/2018 11:54

Oh born, that sounds disc like. Are you able to get some strong ibuprofen. It's the pits. Poor you.

I thought I was okay at maths until I encountered DS, which is probably why he's just started a Masters in the subject. Weirdly, two of his best mates from primary are fab at the subject too and are now at Durham and Kings, studying the same subject. Their conversations are interesting, well they would be if I understood them.

QuiteFabULousDahling · 11/11/2018 12:03

Sorry you have had a crap week JAM Brew

I didn't see it last night but heard he's been in a bit of bother this week...
I think he's a super dancer. Him and Stacey are my faves!

QuitewantstogotoBlackpool · 11/11/2018 12:31

I think the press have whipped that up but Im not on Twitter so not sure whats been said ?
Hes gone off the boil a bit for me .
Loved Kate and Charles Smile

Justanothermile · 11/11/2018 12:53

I'm not on Twitter either but think they've fallen out and he's been branded a bully or at least difficult, according to the radio.

Love the name!

Wolfcub · 11/11/2018 13:04

Jam sorry to hear you’ve had a rough week.

Quite great name. I think Danny is for the chop tonight too. I thought Lauren improved significantly

Drawer of doom done and hall/stairs/landing walls attached woth a flash magic eraser. Top tip, do not use a magic eraser when you are at the start of having your nails done, wait until the polish is already buggered because a magic eraser will hurry that efffect along nicely

QuitewantstogotoBlackpool · 11/11/2018 13:05

Oh dear !
Mind you I was hmmm about the Seann and Katya stuff as well#cringe
Why thank you !

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/11/2018 13:09

No judging here wolf. I stock up.
Nice rack. Grin
Love the name change
Sounds shite jam. ((Hugs))
Ouchy back pain.

Body pump this morning, £69 Sainsbury's but forgot I have a threshold spend voucher so got £12 refunded.
Rainy footy at lunch.
Party this afternoon £20 present and paying dd in.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/11/2018 13:10

I like djj but maybe that's more from his cat character. Haven't seen last night's but will watch the results today

AutumnLeaves12 · 11/11/2018 13:12

born one of my friends has a back like that. Take care there until you can get to a GP to get it checked out. Flowers

We were in the remembrance parade today with the scouts. I really enjoyed it. The tipping rain stopped just in time. I can't begin to imagine what 2 hours standing still in tipping rain would have been like. We only ever did half an hour of that when I was a Brownie/Guide in Scotland.

ememem84 · 11/11/2018 13:51

Steam mopped floors while dh and Ds took the recycling to the recycling place.
I’ve made another flapjack and ds helped us put stones in the flower bed outside

Fil robbed the stones from the beach and ds was a bit precious about having sandy fingers.

Laundry drying outside again today. Yay!
Am just taking 5 while dh changes ds and then I’m having a cuppa and a sit down for a long time.

I’m feeling dehydrated today. Not sleeping well again and I felt last night like I’d had a “boozy” sleep (as in dehydrated after too many drinks. I only had one g&t...) so hydration is the name of the game today.

wolfquite I have a stash of beauty products. I buy things when they’re on special offer so always have spares.

Bornlazy · 11/11/2018 15:50

Thanks. I have been taking it easy today and will, hopefully, get GP appointment tomorrow. I have been taking ibuprofen, just need to be careful as I take omprazole for heartburn. Managed a bath which was nice and luckily I got in and out unaided and didn’t get stuck - that would be a site no one would want to see 🙈

Wolf that is an impressive stash. The problem with my stuff is it’s inaccessible in the cupboard of doom 😬

Bornlazy · 11/11/2018 15:56

Jam sorry you’ve had such a crap week. Hope your dogs mouth is ok.

Wolfcub · 11/11/2018 16:10

Born hope the back eases some more. Back pain is awful. If you have some Voltarol can be helpful especially if you have a tender tum too

I have cleaned the bits I missed on Friday, done a couple of loads of washing, been to the bottle bank and read a good chunk of book. I have to say it’s been very nice having ds occupied elesewhere for part of the day.

As part of tackling the drawer of doom and the cupboard of doom aka the random toiletries store I have checked and refilled my power cut supplies. Nothing special but a couple of small torches, a couple of nightlight and a candle and lighter to help us locate anything else we might need in event of a powercut.
