That's good to know lonely

You have to sing in the clarinet exam??! I am pretty sure dd is not aware of this 😮

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 07/11/2018 21:50

Ahh set hair.

LonelyOversharer · 07/11/2018 22:22

Joseph? Needs eyes and a halo. Knitting Mary now in a lovely muted blue purple.

moimichme · 07/11/2018 22:23

Well done Autumn and congratulations Quite.

Today I spent £55.80 in total on travel, groceries and Christmas presents (£31 on the latter online). It's okay but I could do with a nsd tomorrow!

Wolfcub · 07/11/2018 22:24

Congratulations Quite

Lonely Joseph is lovely

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/11/2018 00:55

Girlie yes the examiner plays 5 notes on the piano and the candidate sings them back. That happens three times with three different tunes. The candidate can "la" it, or whistle, or whatever gets the job done. My attempt sounded considerably nicer than my clarinet playing which surprised me a lot. Should have done singing exam instead

I've woken up in the night again, this time before midnight. This is not a good habit. I blame all that vitamin D that I got in the summer.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/11/2018 02:03

I’m just going to bed Autumn - everyone is on the mend here so I’m back to my bloody deadline! Glad the exam was okay, though I always thought for practical exams you’d know the result in the day?! no musical experience whatsoever

Great result Quite. I reckon you can throw a cracking frugaleers’ party with that Wink

The Joseph is great Lonely! Love the look of that yarn too, Lush soft colours.

Bornlazy · 08/11/2018 04:46

Well done Quite that’s great news. I always say I’m going to enter more competitions and then I don’t. Definitely going to start now Smile

Sea that’s a late finish for you. I get tired just thinking about the pressure you are under. Hope it calms down a bit once you catch up and everyone stays well to let you crack on.

Autumn glad the exam went well. Hope you managed to get back to sleep. I woke up at 0400 which is crap as have to be up at 0530. I was on a 12 hour shift yesterday so should have slept better than that as was very tired last night. Will need caffeine to get me through my shift today 😩

Nsd yesterday.

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/11/2018 06:16

Great Joseph lonely.
Hope people got some rest.
Pleased to hear wreck is ok.
Shattered today. Work is crazy busy. Should be a nsd

Wolfcub · 08/11/2018 06:25

Sea and Autumn hope you managed some sleep

I need milk on the way into the office and should be going out for dinner with a colleague later

I love days like that em you have a specific list, but can go and have a good mooch, by yourself.

Work again today, but I'll be sewing up Mary when I get home, must hunt out the new curtain rings, which I use for halos. I'm not sure if I need to spend anything other than some postage today, we shall see.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/11/2018 08:27

Hi all - I'm here but busy week, ds birthday, and my parents coming to stay for it.

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/11/2018 09:05

Task no 1 for me is to go back to the exam venue and find our coats. Ooops.

CurlsandCurves · 08/11/2018 09:16

Hi can I jump back in?

Quite awesome news on your win!

Lonely that’s a very cute Joseph.

It’s my wedding anniversary today. So to celebrate I’m going to take the car for its MOT, lol. Which is costing nothing because we had to have the cam belt replaced, we now get free MOTs for the life of the car.

Next things on my frugal list are PPI. Never checked, might as well. And it’s been a good few years since we had our life insurance policies looked at. Think I’ll wait till the new year now.

Tried and tried to get the boys to at least start a Christmas list over half term, nothing. 🙄

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/11/2018 11:18

I just played all the grade 2 scales. Fantastically exciting, and keeps me from spending money. Good.

ememem84 · 08/11/2018 11:42

£14 coop and £86 at garden centre (couple of flexi tubs for recycling, some Christmas decorations and a couple of presents for dnephew (shark towel being one...)

Have taken things to charity shop. And am now embarking on a bit of a clean a laundry session and maybe some lunch.

My flex tub thing came with a free gigantic spider. 🕷 I set him free outside.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/11/2018 11:44

I am quite tired today... but still have so much to do on this paper Shock. No childcare today though and no prospect of getting anything useful done with dd around. She’s really perky today though and is currently stuffing her face with mackerel pate Grin

We’ve just been to a local ceramic painting cafe on a bit of a whim. It was really lovely! Dd daubed all over a plant pot and saucer for MIL, and a plate for daddy (for his cake Wink) and I painted an egg cup for dd’s dippy eggs. I also hired the paint kit and bought some blank baubles to paint at home with DS for presents for grannies and for his lovely TA at school. Not too cheap but we had a lovely time and I think the recipients will be really pleased. Annoyingly I had forgotten my phone though so couldn’t take any pictures of DD in action!

Hi again Curls!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 08/11/2018 11:55

Hi all.
I'm home again as dd2 is still ill and so is ds2, I think she has passed it on to him.
Anyway I'm very tired as dd2 was up some of the night, but I have coffee to power through and will hopefully get some bits done today.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 08/11/2018 12:08

Curls, happy anniversary!

Thatsnotmybaby · 08/11/2018 12:28

Occassional poster signing into new thread with a slight namechange.

Thanks for new thread @quite.

Spends yesterday:
£2 work canteen
£80 Boden (slightly indulgent comfort spending as a result of exhaustion and ill DC, but I had a 25% off code)
£29 Amazon (an item DH needed for DIY and DBro’s Christmas present).

Spends today:
£2 work canteen
£3 sponsorship for boss’s DS
£192 Dunelm - Christmas decorations and lamps, a throw, and a bowl to finish off our bedroom decoration. Spendy but I could have spent a lot more buying the lamps and throw I had my eye on in a local shop so I’m quite pleased with that.

SneakyGremlins · 08/11/2018 12:51

Found you lot Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/11/2018 15:32
