Autumnwell done for the exam -fingers crossed!
Quiteawesome! I need to enter more contests.
I have, however, linked my Nectar card to ebay, and changed my Topcashback from Plus ( for which you are charged) to Classic (no charge) I find I never use Cashback, but keeping it in case I need a new appliance or something.
Have not posted since my dental crisis, it has settled down, but I still have to avoid crunchy food - a lightly toasted bagel is my limit. This threw my shopping off as I had to get yogurt, soft rolls, etc. I have 4 more doses of antibiotics left - which are foul, rip my stomach every dose and I have to eat at the same time. Not good for the figure. Looking forward to the end of this.
Trying to insert free activities for paid ones -fancied a new CD but searched web & found a few songs as free downloads, also using Duolingo to augment my Italian class ( free, tho like all apps, they annoyingly push the pay for upgrades) Trying to pass this skill on to DD who is always suggesting some pricey activity & I respond with a free alternative.
Today should be NSD, last night’s left-overs for dinner. Tomorrow spinach lasagna, DD coming over to celebrate new job, but have bought all food, including Prosecco from Tesco for £7 ( probably cheaper at Lidl/Aldi but not worth the trip)

First bake in the new house. Flapjack with dark chocolate and cherries.

£143 dunelm - 2 new memory foam pillows, some new sheets and pillow cases (all white just to match what we already have), toilet brush, loo roll holder, bathroom bin and some ducky stickers for the bath.

Quick sign in, busy day at work and not felt that great really 😕 nsd though.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 08/11/2018 17:12

Spends today
£4.00 on milk, fruit and bread.
Kids are feeling loads better so will be going back to school tomorrow.

ememem84 · 08/11/2018 17:34

Picked Ds up from nursery. He’s done some painting. It’s the first piece of artwork he’s done. It’s being framed. Almost cried.

LonelyOversharer · 08/11/2018 18:02

Had a good day at work, busy but not doing the same thing all day, which I have been all week it gets a bit repetitive

Spent £12 postage, and £13 in the co-op for tea (fresh ravioli and sauce). But have sold a pair of shoes and 2 sets of cleats today, so £56 back into the kitty.

Am going to order some stuffing tonight, a big bin bag full from Dainty Crafts (in washington tyne&wear, the best craft shop ever!). I buy one every 4 years of so, as most things I make are tiny. But I have run out.

Wrongwayup · 08/11/2018 18:10

Small top up shop £19 . Took the dog for a long walk and then found rugby club doing fireworks. Its been all bloody week here. Dog terrified.

SneakyGremlins · 08/11/2018 18:17

Anyone here batch cook? I would start except don't usually have the money to bulk buy the ingredients to do so Confused

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/11/2018 18:19

Oh I love dainty supplies.

Nsd thus far but a shlep to Aldi in a bit

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/11/2018 18:21

No I don't sneaky. The only exception is having a few portion of Bolognese for the DC. I just don't like reheated food.
I bulk buy the ingredients and frozen veg and cook as I need to.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/11/2018 18:33

I do soup Sneaky. I love lentil soup and could eat it all day though.

Moan I downgraded mine too but I use it for insurance and the weekend bonuses topcashback do of £3.

LonelyOversharer · 08/11/2018 18:35

Nor me sneaky feeding 6 for tea usually only leaves an extra portion or 2 (if ds refuses whatever it is) from a full slow cooker/stockpot full. I'd need to borrow catering pans and the school kitchens to batch cook here.

£26 on 5lb of stuffing. Delivered, thus removing the temptation of a visit! Am expecting a bin bag.

I can't explain how exciting it is not having to sit down and paint after tea! I can craft until bedtime (dp has cleaned the kitchen, so thats enough of that for today).

Have we lost fluffy too??

LonelyOversharer · 08/11/2018 18:36

X-post, there you are fluff 💜

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/11/2018 18:39

Oh I do soup for the week to but that stays in the fridge

SneakyGremlins · 08/11/2018 18:44

Thanks guys, I reckon I could do soup Smile fairly small slow cooker though!

AutumnLeaves12 · 08/11/2018 18:51

I think I may have gone a bit batshit from the excitement of my exam. If I had a parent around, they'd be putting the clarinet in the cupboard until I behaved myself now.

it's too exciting

SnugglySnerd · 08/11/2018 19:28

NSD. Eaten too much crap though and feel a bit stodged.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/11/2018 21:41

You can do a vat of veggie bolognaise to batch cook for about £3 a bag of soya mince is £1.50 (morrisons) onion 10p, tin of chopped tomato 40p (aldi) grated carrot or any other veg lying about 30p, mushrooms 50p, add stock 10p and maybe marmite 5p could also add lentils in 20p. That would do 6-8 portions or so...

I'm in bed so knackered!

SneakyGremlins · 08/11/2018 21:47

Noted that down too, thankyou!

Wolfcub · 09/11/2018 06:23

Morning all. I haven’t caught up with yesterday yet

Yesterday’s spends 50p Milk £3.50 bacon and sausage baguette and a bun Blush £20 dinner out with friend.

Nails today so £25 for that I think and I need to find ds a Santa hat before weekend

AutumnLeaves12 · 09/11/2018 06:49

My dh put ds to bed last night and I got 10 hours sleep. Zzzzz

LonelyOversharer · 09/11/2018 07:38

The plus side is it's friday and I finish at 4. The minus that we have to take the dogs to the vets again tonight. This is a grim ordeal!

Had a great night knitting. Sewed up some figures too. Might have a full set by tonight. I found 4 fully knitted elves, just need my new stuffing to arrive to finish them!

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/11/2018 09:35

Cooking on a bootstrap is a good website sneaky, it’s very carrot heavy though so I halve them.

Feed your family for £20 a week, that’s another one. Any sweet stuff I want I look for a vegan alternative, and sift out the “only 9 obscure ingredients and we’ve substituted the sugar for applesauce to make it less fun”. Those recipes can fuck right off.

ememem84 · 09/11/2018 09:46

IM IN the hairdressers. Was meant to be going out tonight so haven’t bothered with make up as won’t have time to go home before I go out. So brought my bag with me.

Not going out now. It’s been postponed. Sitting here looking at my no mascara face.

Also my boot has broken. Some has come away from the toe. Aaaah. It’s flapping.

As I’m in town will look for a new pair (using vouchers) but will take boots home and will superglue it back.

Wolfcub · 09/11/2018 11:05

£28 Sainsbury’s on onligatory items ds requires for events this weekend, plus top
Up shop as Ocado can’t deliver until 8pm tomorrow. £108 order with Ocado but I think they’ve mis-applied a deal and it should be less. Once I get the receipt I will challenge
