This one Quite although I paid £39.99 for it on Sunday - it’s gone up £10.

QuitelovesStrictly · 05/09/2018 20:11

Thanks Born
Will ponder ...

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/09/2018 20:16

It's more for the time poor unescorted.

You could do a soup batch cookathon. Homebargain do packs of 5 plastic tubs for batch cooking. 59p. I can get about 18 in one drawer of my freezer and my freezer is tiny.

Wolfcub · 05/09/2018 20:17

Unescorted I’m with you on that. When I have my instant pot (sodding thing is out of stock) I will make soup

Unescorted · 05/09/2018 20:18

You have given me an idea... I can freeze lunch sized soups for lunch....

Bornlazy · 05/09/2018 20:21

Unescorted that’s a good question. The soup was much smoother than any I had ever made with a stick blender. It takes less time too I think. There is no period of waiting while It pressurises and depressurises ( not sure if these are actual words) just switch it on and it’s good to go. There is also less chance of burning yourself whilst blending hot soup.

QuitelovesStrictly · 05/09/2018 20:24

Shop Well for Less Shock

Unescorted · 05/09/2018 20:51

I will ponder being both time and space poor..... I do like a bit of tooth to my soup so scoop a bit out and put it back in after purée - ing most of it.

We have just finished a proper roast beef dinner.... #makinggobacktoschooltomorrowinstagrammemories. #nowttodowithlikingyorkshirepuddings 😁

AdoraBell · 05/09/2018 20:54

Another hundred and fecking fifty quid at the vets.

Unescorted · 05/09/2018 20:55

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/09/2018 20:57

Wolfcub · 05/09/2018 21:10

Adorable poor adorAdog

Wolfcub · 05/09/2018 21:10

Or rather Adora, poor adorAdog

MischiefManager · 05/09/2018 21:13

unescorted fab tip thanks, I thought you all just had incredible memories 😂

quite I have the opposite problem with DD. She’s not talking much yet so gets extra frustrated because we don’t always know what she wants (although I’m pretty sure she doesn’t either a lot of the time!).

Right I’m off to make the most of sleeping children and have an early night. Should be doing loads of work but I think I’ll probably get more done tomorrow if I sleep now. Night all.

ememem84 · 05/09/2018 21:18

Hmm shop well for less.

I’ve listed another skirt on eBay. It’s a Joules one I’ve worn a handful of times.

House is tidy. I’m going to work early tomorrow and am asking to take half hour lunch and finish at 430 so I can trot Home and then do a quick hoover before dparents get back.

CurlsandCurves · 05/09/2018 21:33

We re watching DIY SOS too. DH took part in one a few years ago, it was amazing. He still says now it was the best thing he’s ever took part in. If another one reasonably local came up he’d be there in a heartbeat.

Missed shop well for less, will watch on catch up.

Wrongwayup · 05/09/2018 22:31

Small shop 20£ so 628£ left. too tired to read back.bro hello all will read back tomorrow

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/09/2018 06:20

My parcel arrived jam, thank you

ememem84 · 06/09/2018 06:41

Morning all.

All quiet here. Catface is somewhere (she’s super enjoying having a whole house to bounce around in) ds is sleeping and dh is sleeping. Yay.

I’m just getting up to have a shower and get ready for work.

Today’s jobs:

Strip bed and Pop sheets in the wash.
Hoover floors (after work).
Small food shop - fruit and veggies.

northender · 06/09/2018 06:51

Will catch up with the thread properly later.
Have now done 3 days of study this week & have got a day of pharmacology today. I'm just not used to the sitting around so it's been a struggle at times!
Ds had a better day at college yesterday & seems to be settling in okay. Dd was fine going back to school, year 9 now.
My only spending so far this week has been on car parking (which I'll claim back from work) and soup (£1.10) each day from the campus cafe.

thistimenextsummer · 06/09/2018 06:54

Morning all! Gosh wish it was that quiet here - have already had to step in to stop the little ones fighting over breakfast Shock

I should have clarified yesterday that the early morning amazon spending was on Christmas and birthday presents, including some amazon vouchers that we'll give to nieces and nephews. Trying to get a few things done each month.

The only other spend yesterday was £12 on a slot for a new swimming pool on Saturday. Need to make sure we have something nice planned for lunch and dinner on Saturday so we don't end up eating out before or after!

QuitelovesStrictly · 06/09/2018 07:05
