Now that I've put that in the title, we will almost certainly get snow. LOL!

Welcome to nearly-August.

No thunder or rain here yet Sad

SneakyGremlins · 27/07/2018 10:13

I live near Manchester so when ESA arrives I'll get the train into the city to look for an Asian supermarket - there must be one in Manchester, surely?

Morning all.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/07/2018 10:42

East End spices do mail order.

My halifax rewards came through, £9, so I'll put it towards painting the main bathroom.

No rain here either.

SneakyGremlins · 27/07/2018 10:44

They do??

CurlsandCurves · 27/07/2018 10:51

Rain and hail all gone now, back to sunshine and heat. Just off to Sainsbury’s for a cake. It’s like a fridge in there usually, can’t wait for a lovely cool stroll round the aisles!

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 27/07/2018 11:01

My dh says that our thunderstorm happened in the night, so I think I have missed it. Shame, I was looking forward to that.

£21 in white stuff on yellow and white stripe jumper. I’ve had my eye on it for ages. And it was on sale. Yay!

And a new eyeliner. £3 as I dropped my lovely Dior one down the toilet this morning. They’re £16 a pop which is a lot for eyeliner. But it lasts ages. Will put it on my birthday list.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/07/2018 12:42

NSD

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/07/2018 13:02

Grumbles of thunder this morning and a bit of rain. Sunny and breezy now. I've taken a chance and put out my washing.

Orangecake123 · 27/07/2018 13:07

This is so basic, but I met up with a friend at a coffee shop but resisted the urge to order anything whilst she did. I started buying and making my own coffee a while back, but it didn't taste the same and I tried other sachets but I'm totally in love with Nescafe gold cappuccino ones I stole when I went back home.

But I did spend £1.39 on a small bunch of flowers from the florist.

My current therapist is away on holiday for a month, but I've booked to see someone else on tuesday instead so that will be £40.

Orangecake123 · 27/07/2018 13:10

I love the spice photo!

WreckTangled · 27/07/2018 14:23

The shop is so quiet I am ridiculously bored. There's only so much tidying and rearranging you can do!

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/07/2018 14:25

That spice drawer is amazing.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/07/2018 14:29

Orange That's really good. Coffee and cakes a good £5.

AdoraBell · 27/07/2018 15:09

NSD for me again, DH bought and cake. I had a frugal win, sliced loaf, 2 dozen eggs and some ready prepped fruit pots. The people I help on Fridays are away next week so it was been wasted.

No rain yet here but the wind is picking up.

WreckTangled · 27/07/2018 15:20

We had rain! A downpour for about three minutes. And lots of thunder

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 27/07/2018 15:22

The heat outside here is something else. I just went out for a short walk with ds and it's not quite sauna weather, but not far off. The humidity is just a little bit lower then an actual sauna. I hope we do get a good thunderstorm.

Hi All, hope it's ok to join; hoping for some motivation for good saving habits from now on.

Yesterday was an NSD

Today was £40 cleaner.

SnugglySnerd · 27/07/2018 15:52

Welcome Bookworm.

We've also just been for a short walk. Very hot and humid here too. It had clouded over but is sunny again now so still no rain.

Loveabaconsandwich · 27/07/2018 16:25

We've made it to Center Parcs. It's lovely here amongst the trees but I think it is cooling down here as it is meant to rain shortly.

Play area and swimming done. Chill time until going out for dinner

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/07/2018 16:47

No rain here, have given up on it ever raining again! !

Work day today, saw the dr this afternoon who said it's a trapped nerve in my neck due to a muscle spasm. Gave me two prescriptions naproxen and omeprazole £18 😰 so expensive, I can't afford to be ill, as work caused it i feel like billing them 😉

On a more positive note it's payday today and we have had our payrise, mine has gone up by 44p an hour which works out about £600 over a year. Worth having.

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 27/07/2018 17:04

That's great that he was able to help Girlie. Is there any idea of getting the nerve untrapped? I sort of thought an osteopath might be the person for that, but I think that's something you do privately. I don't think a GP has ever suggested that to me.

I've been to the GP too, and am being tested for campylobacter. In future if I find a bird's nest in the garden I will admire it from a distance. Smile

Finally. Works done.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/07/2018 17:29

The more the merrier Bookworm.

Wolfcub · 27/07/2018 17:57

Still catching up I’m on last night but ds is plugged into the matrix so you are my evening conversation. Glad you liked the sculpture park Sea if you get near the town centre then Dixon’s milk ices nearthe football stadium is a fantastic cheap ice cream visit (you will need to sit in the car) or Ice Stone gelato in the town centre for a bit more of a treat. If you are out towards Shelley/Shelley then Armitages is a nice garden centre and Cliffe House activity centre opposite Shepley Methodists has a fab play park that people can use in school hols (normally it’s a school activity centre).

Unescorted sorry to hear the job news

Laska I’m sorry to hear about boycat - butchers had always been a no go for dogs as it causes problems (according to the vet) so glad to hear they are doing positive things for the feline species
