@mammy and @cag they are definitely good for walking around a lot in. If you read on the website that was part of what they wanted when they designed them. The rubber sole has loads of grip and the memory foam makes them comfy. Try them, you won’t be disappointed! ( I’m not on commission honest!).

Zumba this morning. Then I might try and get the weekly shop out of the way if I’ve got time. Not made a list or menu planned yet tho so might have to wait until tomorrow. I’d like to get it don’t today because there’s a circuits class I’d like to try tomorrow.

That little fan I posted a picture of last week has been an absolute lifesaver this weekend!

Cagliostro · 09/07/2018 09:09

OMFG just got a text from Ikea apologising because the delivery won’t be available until 20th July. The day before we move. And yes, they have already taken the money a few days ago.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 09/07/2018 10:37

Oh cag what a disaster, and your whole day planned out to suit it Angry

lifelong hope scales wasn't too bad this morning, I'm not getting on too well with it at the moment, my health is poor so steps have definitely reduced. I slept from 9.45 on Sat night until 8.15 yesterday morning and again from 2-5pm yesterday. Blush

Husky isn't doing so good, I syringe fed her water last night and this morning but then she refused that, and I couldn't get her to take her antibiotic either, even in a sausage. H is going to take her to vet again who will either administer pain relief or perhaps PTS. I would prefer that to her suffering tbh.

Spends
€10.95 on topup shop
€50 balance for dd's camp

CremeEggThief · 09/07/2018 10:37

Oh no, Cag.Shock

Cagliostro · 09/07/2018 10:45

Oh poor husky :( :(

Relieved I hadn’t already gone over there as I’m struggling with the heat still, I was just getting ready when I got the text. DH has strimmed what he could reach of the lawn, and they’ve unpacked some of the smaller plastic tubs of books and games - the stuff that would be going on the kallax units -and just piled it up for now, to bring back the empties. DSD was even round there to see the house and help build/distract the baby, so she’s coming here for a bit and hopefully DH and I can crack on with a bit before she has to go to work.

I could theoretically cancel stuff and get the kallax style stuff from Argos instead. But not sure if it’s worth it if there’s no guarantee we will get that any earlier, and maybe our time would be better spent just cracking on with stuff here at home.

I am so pissed off though.

ememem84 · 09/07/2018 11:08

I would be too cag

mammy poor huskydog. I hope things pick up soon! Xx

Ds is napping. I’ve done laundry and we’ve been and dropped dh at work and then popped in to collect our beach things from dparents. They’re coming to the beach with us later. Phew. Not sure I could handle it on my own if I’m honest.

It is roasting.

I’m sorting through the wardrobe and whittling things down for the charity shop.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/07/2018 11:20

That's not great cag. Have they said why? Is it worth a ranty phone call? I think so (or email)

Up about 1lb mammy so not too bad. Standing at the bus stop rather than walk to town though as need the quickness of the bus.
YY to not having husky dog in pain but that's a shit thing to happen. Fingers crossed.

Enjoy the beach em. Bit of rain this morning and cloud today. It's muggy though. Going to heat up again after tomorrow

£1.70 bus fair, FFS for 5 minutes

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/07/2018 11:21

Sorry to hear your health is not so good mammy

SunnyLikeThursday · 09/07/2018 12:05

Sorry to hear that Cag and Mammy. Poor Huskydog, and I hope the heat cools down soon for you Cag.

I think it may be a bit cooler here.

CurlsandCurves · 09/07/2018 12:17

Oh @cag what a pain! So annoying when you have things all planned out and it all gets thrown up in the air.

@mammy hugs to you and your Husky.

Definitely cooler here today. Just sat here with my hair in a ‘plop’ (curly girl method devotee here) and then I might do a mad dash round the supermarket with wet hair (attractive) before school.

SunnyLikeThursday · 09/07/2018 12:21

How do you do that Curls? That sounds fun. The hair, I mean.

Cagliostro · 09/07/2018 12:43

I am waiting for fluffy to advise on the complaining :o

We are just cracking on with some more packing instead and DH has arranged for the prepay meter to be removed from the new house.

Loveabaconsandwich · 09/07/2018 12:44

No one in real life is answering their phones.

I got the job!!! Eeeek!

Thank wolf and quite for your help Thanks

ememem84 · 09/07/2018 12:49

sunny I think a plop is when you wash hair then roll it up in a Tshirt? Helps with curly hair apparently. Doesn’t help me other than to assist drying. My hairs so thick it takes forever! But I find if I wrap it up in a Tshirt or a thin cotton towel it dries much much quicker.

Ds has had lunch and I’m trying to get him to nap. Before we hit the beach.

I had hoped I’d be able to go nsd today which maybe we will. I was tempted to go to the shop to grab beach snacks/fruit. But I’ve managed to cobble something together.

Ds has a nectarine, a rusk and some wafery biscuits some water and milk. I have nectarine, grapes and an iced tea.

Must do a fruit shop either later on today - on way back from beach or tomorrow lunchtime.

I am horribly sunburnt on my back and shoulders today so have to take a Tshirt with me for swimming/covering up.

Will have to wear my tankini too this afternoon as I need to fix my strap marks! #firstworldproblems

Cagliostro · 09/07/2018 12:51

Yay love congratulations 😀⭐️💐

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/07/2018 15:21

Love Congratulations on the job. Is it term time only?.

Cag I hope you do complain, if nothing else you want a free delivery & a daim bar. [email protected], I'm sure the CEO will be accommodating.

£4 Tesco
£8 aldi, mostly cat food and eggs.
£10 petrol.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/07/2018 15:22

I'm sorry about the dog Mammy, I hope she recovers but I wouldn't want to see them suffer either.

Loveabaconsandwich · 09/07/2018 15:46

Sorry to hear about your dog mammy

cag you had every reason to be cross! On the day of delivery too Angry

Term time plus two weeks fluffy. One of the weeks being the last week of the summer holidays. By then, I figure I will be ready to hand the DC over to grandparents after 5 weeks off Grin I'll get to enrol in Local government pension scheme and get things like death in service again which is good not planning on dying

SunnyLikeThursday · 09/07/2018 15:51

Love That's great! Well done. Smile Brew Star

Thanks for explaining the plop Em.

It's windy here and I have a thunder bug crawling around on my glasses. I wondered if we're due for an unexpected thunderstorm?

ChristmasSeacow · 09/07/2018 16:16

Phew, just having a cola ice lolly and cooling off after the school run.

Yay, congratulations Love, that sounds like a brilliant arrangement for school holidays too.

Mammy fingers crossed for the poorly dog. It’s awful losing a loved pet.

Cag that would make me seriously grumpy too. Definitely write an email!

I’ve just met DS’s new teacher for next year. She’s newly qualified and looks about 16, I swear!

Flappyjack · 09/07/2018 16:31

£17.20 Sainsburys today on laundry soap and fabric conditioner, fruit, sandwich meat and ice cream. I have to buy surcare brand of laundry stuff. It's super expensive, but it helps with kids eczema so it is worth it.

I was tempted to pick up more but thought of the frugaleers. Accountability posting is starting to work then. I've noticed every single one of my posts includes ice cream. Weird that.

Cag I'd be fuming and ask for free delivery and a voucher or something knocked off the price.

love congrats on the job. Time for a celebration?

Flappyjack · 09/07/2018 16:32

Ooof also used nectar voucher and collected 200 extra points. Proud of myself for remembering to do it because I always forget. Go me.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 09/07/2018 17:05

love congrats
Ddog is on a drip at the vets, so hopefully that'll help her.

WreckTangled · 09/07/2018 17:16

Brilliant news love

I’ve just had another two sun loungers delivered now I’m confused. Did they come as a set of two so I’ve stupidly bought four or have they accidentally sent me an extra set free or are they going to charge me?! ConfusedConfusedConfused

WreckTangled · 09/07/2018 17:16

I think it's the former
