Lsd £3 on ds’s activity. Worked a solid 11 hours and a bit. Even more knackered now but feel like I’ve got work stuff enough under control that I don’t have to work tomorrow - I’ve already done more than my weekly hours anyway
Ds seems quite down this evening which is worrying. Sw visit tomorrow - some cleaning and tidying will clearly be happening without this as I’ve been away this week so have done nowt

Em good catch, hope you’ve managed not to ding yourself up

Life I looked at some Joules sale dresses online today and found one I really liked until I read the reviews - shrinks and runs. Not good value even at sale price! I normally like Joules stuff but can’t afford it
Sunny it sounds like you’ve had a good few days

Anyone have any recommendations for wooden rose arches that can withstand crappy northern weather conditions. Not quite sure how I’m going to untwine my roses from the broken arch yet

WreckTangled · 14/06/2018 21:49

Em are you sure it wasn't just a hair ball? WreckCat's hairballs look like sick. It's gross.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/06/2018 21:52

Very busy day here, work was hard going and non stop and I've decided to keep going with pilates so had that tonight.

£36 for 6 pilates classes
£40 petrol and lunch.

Was 😲 at the price of petrol!! When did that shoot up?!!

Wolfcub · 14/06/2018 22:42

Girlie they went up about two weeks ago I think. Sounds like a busy day I hope you’re putting your feet up and relaxing now

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/06/2018 22:53

Ha wolf I wish, have tidied the kitchen and hung the washing out!! Crawling into bed now, dd is still awake as it's too hot to sleep apparently 😕

ChristmasSeacow · 14/06/2018 23:26

Argh, I keep losing posts because the keyboard on my phone screen suddenly disappears as I am typing and I end up clicking on something random beneath it and losing the page AngryAngryAngry

I’ll hopefully be back...

ChristmasSeacow · 14/06/2018 23:37

I had a similar experience Girlie, it cost £62 to fill my car last time. I was Shock

Friend round for lunch (well, pretty much the whole school day in the end, we chatted a lot!). I did a small top up of £8 but it was much cheaper than going out. And so much easier with dd.

I have a lot of expenses coming up as I have to get my home alarm system serviced and possibly replaced, and also wired to the new front door. And I’ve found a man to look at my sick magnolia tree. And I need a handyman to help with a few house jobs as we are still being careful of our backs.

And I am about to spend £85 on a naice Office-y rucksack for DH’s commute for father’s day. Much more than I would normally spend (normally he just gets a card and a Victoria sponge if he’s lucky) but he is carrying a heavy unbalanced shoulder bag and then complaining about his back. I’ve had enough of that.

And a new car seat for DD that swivels (also to save our backs).

Bloody expensive month, all in all! I must also check when my home insurance is due...

WreckTangled · 15/06/2018 06:12

Morning!

Girlie yes it's got so expensive Angry

It's my birthday today and dh has taken the day off so we're going to gunwharf for lunch. Should be nice.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/06/2018 06:26

Happy Birthday Wreck.

Wolfcub · 15/06/2018 06:39

Happy birthday Wreck have a lovely day Flowers

Sea that’s definitely an expensive month but all sound like essential expenses and investing in your own health and well-being.

H has accidentally used the joint account card. It’s not a big amount but it’s unreasonably pissed me off.

Ds has drawn h a Father’s Day card and told me all about it. This has also unreasonably pissed me off given I got no birthday card drawn or otherwise from ds. Grrr.

Sw today. Need to get my arse out of bed and put the house to rights.

ememem84 · 15/06/2018 06:45

Happy birthday wreck

Hm. It could have been a hairball but it looked a lot like biscuits (tmi sorry...)

WreckTangled · 15/06/2018 06:48

Wolf did he do it at school? Thanks hope the sw visit goes ok

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/06/2018 07:16

Scarlett This group is good for meal plan ideas fyf20quid.co.uk

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/06/2018 07:30

Happy birthday wreck.

That's very annoying wolf especially as things are so tight. Hope the visit goes ok.

Loveabaconsandwich · 15/06/2018 07:38

Happy Birthday wreck 🛍🎉

It's DPs today too not the big one until next year

LonelyOversharer · 15/06/2018 07:56

Happy Birthday wreck Cake Have a lovely day.

We are late up, and I'm sitting on mn...does not bode well for a productive day.

wolf can you add new supporting wood to the rose arch and patch the old one to it? So you don't have to cut your rose back (my parents changed the one by their door, roses do not untangle well, we cut it to the lowest bud nubs in the end. It is huge again now). Bloody wind. Lots of big branches down here.

Just £12 in the co-op yesterday, but got the £5 frozen meal things, such good value, and a good standby when I cba cooking.

LonelyOversharer · 15/06/2018 07:57

seacow my tablet was doing the keyboard thing a while back. It is indeed bloody annoying!

WreckTangled · 15/06/2018 08:00

Oh actually I think I had that keyboard thing before on my old phone!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 15/06/2018 08:27

wolf I know that hurts but he probably did the card because there's lots of people talking about fathers day and he feels it all the more this year rather than anything against you.

Haven't brought the dc to buy anything for H yet, he's back to being his usual arsey self now too. We're in town tomorrow but I want to be out to support a friend doing a local half marathon, she's travelled from uk to do it. Then dd mentioned last night that Daddy is going away this weekend, he hasn't yet mentioned it to me. It was meant to be in two weeks time, I don't care that he's going just want to know because of dc and their expectations of fathers day.

Happy Birthday wreck Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 15/06/2018 08:36

Happy birthday wreck 🎁🎂🎈🎉 hope you have a lovely day.

Day off today thank god!! Meeting friends for coffee this morning and catching up at home this afternoon. Need a few bits like tin foil, loo rolls etc so will pop to aldi later.

ememem84 · 15/06/2018 08:49

Father’s Day gifts to buy today for ddad and dh. Gin maybe...

And cat food.

I’m at work now. Dropped ds off with Dm and we did a swap. Baby for a massive tub of chocolate brownies (each) for the offices. Best Mummy. Have just sent the e-mail round “cake. In the usual place...!”

SnugglySnerd · 15/06/2018 09:36

Happy birthday Wreck!

My phone does that keyboard thing too. So annoying. Switching it off and on again usually sorts it.

Sea we have the swivelling car seem they are £££ but so much kinder on your back. Ours last until they are 4 too so well worth the money.

Cats are fussy buggers aren't they Em? Ours is sick if it's not one of his 4 preferred flavours never mind a different brand!

Top up shop planned for today and I have to collect my winter coat from the cleaners. Thought I'd be organised for once and get it done before putting it away instead of the first ime I decide to wear it in the autumn.

CremeEggThief · 15/06/2018 10:12

Happy birthday, Wreck.Cake

Spendy today, as I have nails and waxing and going to Costa with my friend too.

Happy Friday!

ememem84 · 15/06/2018 11:06

We have a swivel seat too. Much easier! Ours is a joie 360.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 15/06/2018 11:26

€61.40 on an electric toothbrush for me and 4 replacement heads, and 2 sonic battery powered toothbrushes for dc with 4 replacement heads.

Got scale & polish done in December and again this week and want to see if I get it done just yearly so going to try electric toothbrush route.

Dc have been pestering for these for ages and I've noticed that dd's new teeth never look clean so maybe this might encourage them to brush for longer more regularly. Amazon, same toothbrush for me on it's own would be €30 and similar ones for dc would be €20 each without replacement heads

How long do toothbrush heads last on average?

Swivel seats are amazing, my one did both dc and dgs and sold for almost as much as I paid for it Grin
