Wolf Some car park companies are on topcashback.

Quidco clicksnap has the free Galaxy 200g again. They shut the offers after a certain number of redemptions.

I've got enough nectar points for birthday champagne now. I'm saving them for an iced cake now. I'll just get a plain one for £4.50.

This conditioner is fab btw. Really good.

The wind is destroying my garden. One rose arch ireperably broken. The other damaged and both still getting battered. I fear for the roses on the broken one. My new fuschi has been battered beyond belief. I think I’ve saved it but the stem may have suffered damage. I’ve put my washing out. Wind may as well do me a favour although I could be chasing washing through the cow field

ememem84 · 14/06/2018 12:58

Ahem. £107 in oasis. They have started their 50% sale. 6 dresses. A mix of casual and work.

Did I really need them?! Nope. But. They will get worn.

The dept store oasis is part of has their 50% summer sale starting today so I took a relatively early lunch (1130) and nipped in.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/06/2018 13:11

I have a 30% off Ocado shop and free 12 month delivery pass if anyone wants it.

laComtessede · 14/06/2018 13:12

Updated spends from yesterday :

£5 coffee with friend

Sounds like a very enjoyable splurge @ememem84 , and also sounds like you deserve a treat.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/06/2018 16:09

ememem Must. Not. Buy. New. Clothes. I just read from here this minute, it was inevitable wasn't it? Oasis clothes are lovely and you've just survived a week of MIL too and being put on meds, you definitely deserve it

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/06/2018 16:11

In less frugal news - I spoke to my superior yesterday and I'm going to finish early one day a week going forward, this was planned as summer time only but in light of recent separation I'm going to put in place as a longterm measure. Got approved yesterday and a fabulous supportive message from my superior too about how they would help in any way they could and not to try to be superwoman! Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/06/2018 16:45

Which day will you take?.

£1 oxygen bleach in Poundland
£3.10 food bags, washing up liquid, dw salt and rinse aid in Wilkos
£1 4kg of salt to kill weeds in the block paving.
£10 petrol.
£15 cat biscuits. 5% cashback.

ememem84 · 14/06/2018 17:36

Haha mammy yep...

That’s great about your shorter week.

I’ve just got to the gym. I left work at 3 went to a seminar and then gym. Walking home and then lasagna for dinner. One of DMs lasagnas. She decided to help me/is she’s make us dinner once a week. So on a Sunday (or a Monday) she’ll hand over a dinner for the freezer. Yay!

WreckTangled · 14/06/2018 17:57

Ds lost another tooth so won't be a nsd. Will be a lsd though and luckily I have £1 in my purse.

Mammy that's great news

CremeEggThief · 14/06/2018 18:29

NSD.

Pleased for you, Mammy.

Fluffy, I'd like to know about salt killing patio weeds, as I hate using chemicals.

SunnyLikeThursday · 14/06/2018 18:33

I've got a bit behind from being super-busy for the last few days. I hope it's going okay with everyone.

I had a little bit of voluntary work in a lab and then a violin lesson which I really hugely enjoyed. I'm trying to relearn how to play after having a wrist injury and finding that it is maybe actually possible to do so, which is very exciting.

Anyway, I hope it's going okay there. I haven't managed to read back yet.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/06/2018 18:39

Creme I brush it into the cracks and either wait for rain or use a hosepipe on fine spray to wash it in. We sprinkle it on boarders to keep the bit around the lawn clear too.

It worked for the Romans.

CremeEggThief · 14/06/2018 18:44

Thanks, Fluffy. I have some heavy duty stuff on the weeds at present, but hopefully once it does the job, I can give your salt trick a go to keep them at bay.

Welcome back, Sunny.Smile

ScarletPower · 14/06/2018 18:53

Hi all

Happy pay day to me (well, tomorrow, but today is the end of the month post).

Last month's overdraft was....-240.93
This month's overdraft is...-179.80

So I have reduced by £61.13 which is good (yay) but not that good considering how I had £180+ overtime last month. Looking at my spreadsheet it has mostly been spent on nothing. I had to pay for my annual garden waste collection which is £31 for the year but the main culprit is supermarkets. I've had a total mental block on doing a meal plan for an internet shop so I've been going to the supermarket every couple of days.

I feel like a millionaire this month (or I will do when I get paid) I have a bumper 40+ hours overtime which is like a week's wage extra, but (public sector) we had a 1% payrise backdated to last September so I have that backdated plus my overtime backdated too meaning I have an extra £500 (woo).

But it'll be put aside as my house insurance is due in August as is my MOT but at least it gives me an extra breathing space and I'll keep chipping away at my now much smaller overdraft until then :-)

ememem84 · 14/06/2018 19:25

I just fell in the bath with ds. Well. He was sat in the bath. I perched on the edge. He went to go face down and I grabbed him. And ended up sitting in the bath. Fully clothes.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/06/2018 19:26

£8 sports direct, £1 poundland, £39 hair, £43 Aldi as a new one opened opposite the hairdresser. No opening offers though and it was packed.

I looked in the hot sale and was going to get a joules dress but the lighting in the changing room was shit so couldn't tell how it looked and it's not usually a brand I buy but am thinking for work. Not much in the other consessions I wanted

Loveabaconsandwich · 14/06/2018 19:26

Good news on the reduction in hours mammy

Great, steady reduction on the overdraft scarlet

Your music stuff is really helping you sunny Star

£2.60 Tesco

WreckTangled · 14/06/2018 19:32

Em Grin good skills! Hope you didn't hurt anything

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/06/2018 19:54

It’s going down though Scarlett, the food shopping is your weak spot though. I used to go every couple of days & apart from expensive it’s so boring too. Our meal plan is;
Saturday Pizza for Dh steak for me.
Chicken tikka masala. Rice.
Doner kebab
Burgers, chips, salad, secret sauce 🙄
Chicken Fajitas in pitta bread
Ham salad
Breaded chicken & chips. Salad.

The bare bones of it are all easy to freeze. It’s not a gastromical adventure but it’s decent enough food.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/06/2018 20:26

Sorry em that is funny. Pleased DS is ok though.

The overdraft is less though. Accept the win, don't beat yourself up.

Good news about the hours mammy and the supportive superior.

I need to stop buying food, plan, stick to it and get dh to stick to it.

ememem84 · 14/06/2018 20:44

Ds was surprised! I ended up staying in the bath with him for a bit.

He’s in the big bath now as he outgrew his baby bath.

He is usually fairly stable - we obviously don’t leave him unsupervised but he reaches forward for one of his toys and his bum got away from him!! He’s not bothered by the water though. I emptied some water out and let him splash on his tummy for a bit. He loved slipping about in the bath. So much fun! #recklessmummy

He’s not napping at nursery much at present which is a pain. I think he had 2 half hour naps today. They’ve said he doesn’t like to miss out!! Haha! On the plus side he sleeps through the night so I can’t really complain. But it’s just I get a tired grumpy boy at the end of the day.

No other spends today. Spent enough!

Bornlazy · 14/06/2018 21:19

Haven't posted for a while but have been following.

I go on holiday 2 weeks today so spending is getting away from me a bit as I have been buying holiday clothes for everyone. I also have quite a few family birthdays coming up so if I finish June in the black it will be a miracle.

ememem84 · 14/06/2018 21:33

😭 catface has been sick. Luckily (or not) she sicked on dh’s pile of dirty work shirts. So they’ve gone in the wash to be done tomorrow.

She’s been off her food for a few days. I think it’s because we’ve switched it. Dsis gave me the stuff she had for her cat (which coincidently is the same stuff we used to give catface when she first came to us and also the same stuff she had at the shelter). I don’t think she likes it. Or maybe she remembers it. Or maybe she doesn’t like change.

Either way I’ll get rid and buy her normal food tomorrow. Her not eating (when she usually wolfs it down) is making me anxious. So it’s worth the spend (even though we have about 5kg of the other stuff...).

She’s otherwise fine though. Tearing about like a mad thing snuggling up for evenings bouncing on me at 3am:...

So tomorrow will be about £11 on new food.
