You are supposed to change every 3 months mammy mine is very ready for a change by then.
I buy dupes for my Sonic TB on amazon much cheaper and no diffetence in quality.
I thought buying carseats was a no no like mattresses ?
Just thinking about meal plan and inspecting freezer.
Frugal win -4 small loaves wholemeal bread for 13p each .

ChristmasSeacow · 15/06/2018 12:01

Relieved it’s not just me that gets the keyboard thing - I was starting to think I was going mad! Fingers crossed today - I wrote comments to lots of you so was VERY sweary about it yesterday AngryGrin

I’ve just been to the GP to discuss DS’s asthma. We’re stopping the daily steroid inhaler for a bit to see whether his cough comes back - it’s the only way to tell. It’s been sooooo hard getting DS to take it as part of his routine that I am dreading stopping, and then probably starting, again, but we need to know. I am also worried about him having an acute attack, especially as he won’t recognise or be able to communicate the warning signs. And he would be in huge distress if he had to go to hospital. Eek. Something new to worry about but on we plod.

Then Tesco for top-up again. Mostly fruit and veg, plus sausages for dinner (will do a pasta chilli thing). £22 though Shock including £5 for peonies that I decided I deserved . Still no oven so I’m having to rotate my pasta repertoire a lot. An Ocado delivery is overdue so I’ll sort that for tomorrow.

Tree man is coming tomorrow and house alarm man is coming on Monday. I am just about winning...

I still have really solidly bunged up sinuses 2 weeks after having a cold. I think it may be a sinus infection, never had one before but I’ve never had a cold last like this either. I am so run down I am getting one thing after another, sigh. I’ve actually been eating really well over the last week which I was hoping would help but I don’t think it’s shifting. I’ll go to the GP on Monday if I am still totally bunged up as it’s giving me killer headaches and between my eyes is very sore and tender.

ChristmasSeacow · 15/06/2018 12:02

Oops, posted too soon... wanted to say happy birthday Wreck and yes please, I’ll havd a brownie thanks Em.

ChristmasSeacow · 15/06/2018 12:03

The Joie 360 was the one I was thinking of getting. Looks good.

QuiteCleanBandit · 15/06/2018 12:04

Sea
I get sinus problems and use a sinus rinse if I get a cold and feel bunged up.
Its fabulous and I havent had an infection since .
You can buy on Amazon with the stuff to rinse -a bit wierd but brilliant.
Also great for hayfever as it rinses the pollen out .

mammynowanauntyIRL · 15/06/2018 12:19

Seconding the sinus rinse, it's amazing. Neilmed is the brand I have, it's a strange feeling but well worth it for the relief.

Carseats are a no no if they've been in a crash quite

Every three months means I've got enough heads for 15 months so for myself and 6 months each for the dc, happy with that.

QuiteCleanBandit · 15/06/2018 12:48

mammy
Yes its Neilmed that I use.
I thought the point was you wouldnt know just from looking at it and therefore not advisable?

laComtessede · 15/06/2018 14:17

I want a brownie now @ememem84.

I also love the swiveling car seats; we have one that swivels and others that don't and we almost fall out about which car gets the swiveling one Grin

Yesterday's spends:

£14 lunch/coffees
£7 engine oil
£18 Primark on a variety of bits and pieces.
£170 car servicing although DH will reimburse the joint account for this as we each pay for our cars from our personal accounts.

Today
£54 on nails and waxing

Wolfcub · 15/06/2018 15:15

Busy day. Lots of jobs done. Took ds’s stuff back to primarni rebought in the right size and bought extras as well £27. Bought him some other stuff in H&M £38. 4.95 pad Thai. 51 Kath kidston sale - holiday handbag purse etc which will then become my everyday handbag as my 2 year old one is knackered.

Still need sandals for ds and a couple of pairs of shorts and basically an entire 9 days worth of clothes for me. I do not own summer clothes at all really

Wolfcub · 15/06/2018 15:16

I third the sinus rinse thing. Might break mine out tonight as I have a rotten summer cold.

laComtessede · 15/06/2018 16:07

@Wolfcub where are you going on hols? Will you be spending time in/by the pool? If so, a couple of bikinis/swimsuits and a nice cover uppy thing (can't remember what they're called properly) will do for 70 % of your daywear. I've made the mistake in the past of forgetting that and bringing lots of day clothes that are never worn.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 15/06/2018 16:23

Busy day off here, been to town and met some lovely work colleagues for coffee they treated me which was nice, we decided to make it a regular thing.

Spends
£3.60 parking
£6 new water bottle for dd and a gift
£8 Wilkos various bits
£6 The Works on a gift (my 4yo niece has broken her elbow poor thing!!)
£12 Poundland various bits

Took back some more crop tops that didn't pass the dd test so that was £27 back in the account.

I also bought a ticket for a local flower show £12 and dd can go free with me.

£26 Aldi on fresh stuff and the other stuff i needed.

Dd has her friend over, they are watching Mr Stink!! I am trying to keep out of the way but its always a bit weird when there are other people in your house, I've relegated myself to my bedroom.

Loveabaconsandwich · 15/06/2018 16:42

I'm currently being anti-social sat in my car whilst DD1 is at her group this evening at a country park. Not worth going home, but didn't feel up for an hour and a half chit chat with other parents

£12.60 in M&S for curry and cake for tea later for DPs birthday.

I think he was genuinely pleased with his scooter, inspired by laska and seacow, for his birthday.

ChristmasSeacow · 15/06/2018 16:42

Thanks for the sinus info. I’ve ordered the rinse stuff on amazon prime, since I can’t get out to a shop with DS. It was agony earlier right across my forehead but the pressure has eased again now. Grr.

I am going to Scotland on holiday so might need a midge mask but defo not a bikini! I still could do with some light trousers (linen or similar) and a couple of floaty dresses or tops. I’m going to have a browse online later and might even go to real life shops in a week or two once DD’s birthday is out of the spending should gone. Abit haywore recently,

ememem84 · 15/06/2018 17:34

Another one seconding sinus rinse. Amazing things. I’m going to do one later this evening. Yay.

Spends

£14 cat food. Absolute rip off. I usually buy for £9 on amazon. Ffs. Fussy bugger catface.

£70 exactly (love the nice round numbers) on gin. A bottle for dh and one for ddad.

And £4 toasted wrap for lunch. Chicken. Cheese. Onion.

Loveabaconsandwich · 15/06/2018 17:39

Feel a bit sorry for DP.

I tried ringing him while I'm waiting around for DD1 and he'd gone and collected DD2 from my parents. And then taken DD2 back to work with him as he'd had a rubbish day and couldn't just leave the work. On his birthday.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 15/06/2018 17:44

That is rubbish love

Dd having a good time with her pal, lots of laughing so that's nice.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/06/2018 18:26

£2 eggs.

£5 in nectar points claimed.

Wolfcub · 15/06/2018 18:38

Love that’s rubbish for your dh. Hope he gets home in time to have his curry

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/06/2018 19:07

In our house birthdays last several days. No idea why or which of us started it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/06/2018 19:30

£3 Sainsbury's, £8 boyes on father's Day present

Loveabaconsandwich · 15/06/2018 19:37

That's a bit of a contentious issue here this year fluffy. I was up for making it a "DPs birthday weekend". But, when my birthday comes up next week followed by the weekend... on that weekend we are going to spend at least seven hours in the car going to a family thing he wants to go to that I don't want to. He is therefore staying rather quiet! I am going to take him somewhere for lunch tomorrow Smile

Wrongwayup · 15/06/2018 20:00

Off today -due to keeping up with the Jones' - AKA girlie have cut down a laurel 3 budlia and 3 goodness knows what and spent £95 at the garden centre. Will be doing goodness how many tip runs tomorrow - will think of you on every one girlie. x

Wolfcub · 15/06/2018 20:36

£30 ds’s scout trip. £9.80 Tesco
House looking better
Lacomtese I’m not really a pool person although there will be some watching ds in the pool and a bit of paddling to be done

ChristmasSeacow · 15/06/2018 21:24

Sorry my last post went a bit wonky at the end. Mumsnet seemed to freeze and I had no idea where the cursor was and then it posted...

Was trying to say that spends have got a bit haywire since my back went haywire!

Anyway, I’ve ordered the Joie 360 car seat from Mothercare for click n collect, as I got cash back through Kidstart. Also ordered some Happyland for DD on behalf of MIL who doesn’t ‘do’ the internet and couldn’t find it in her local town (she said Mothercare was half empty of stock). Also got a very sweet shorts playsuit for DD.

Am too tired to cook. DH bought himself a ready meal but there’s nothing quick and appetising here. Was going to have eggs but I used the last for DD’s dinner so I’ve just rummaged in the freezer and found a pepperoni pizza so that’s my dinner!

Meadow thinking of you in the heat - I had DD in the heatwave last June!
