I have 3 pairs of trainers. Adidas gazelles. Superstars and a pair of Nike running shoes. I love trainers.

Also espadrilles. I have one pair at present with metallic toe caps. And am waiting on two more from asos. A blue stripe and a nude pair.

Am tempted by a pair of miss kg wedge espadrilles with metallic toe caps for ds’ christening/work/wedding. £48 asos.

But will hold off.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/04/2018 10:29

wreck they're lovely! That's a help anyhow that it's spare money.

em my dc wet more when they were on medication and teething also. Never thought of that trick suggested by snuggly will save that up for dsil though.

I only have trainers for running, none for everyday wear, it may be something I actually need. Today I'm wearing trackies fat pants at work, with my old running trainers, they're grubby but do the job I suppose. Bought the trackies in late 2013 Grin so they're coming up to 5 years old, the runners were mid 2014 but worn more.

Laska5772 · 24/04/2018 11:18

Only 2 pairs here one leopard print ewth sparkly toes one silver with stars ( obvs neither for doing anything sporty in! Grin)

ememem84 · 24/04/2018 11:30

Great tip sunny I would have never thought to do that!!

£53 Waitrose for stuff for week. Cleaning products included. Managed to get 4 cartons of cherry tomatoes on the reducé! Woohoo. Cheap tomatoes. £0.65 a carton instead of £2.50. I’ll freeze them I think and save for a pasta sauce.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/04/2018 11:44

£4 sains, mostly cat treats as he’s refusing wet foods.
£1.45 huge 4kg bag of potato’s and plain flour in aldi.

SnugglySnerd · 24/04/2018 12:07

Love those trainers! I love trainers.

ememem84 · 24/04/2018 13:51

So. I’ve just tried on the stuff I bought yesterday. The skirt is nice. But the dress. Oh the dress. It makes me feel very fancy air hostess. And is absolutely a keeper. It works with heels. Wedges. And flats (not trainers though!)

Very nice em! But if it doesn't go with trainers what's the point?! Grin

ememem84 · 24/04/2018 14:02

wreck true. Maybe I should take it back Grin

ememem84 · 24/04/2018 14:02

or maybe I don’t have the right type of trainers

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/04/2018 14:07

Have decided to use a route tomorrow that involves two tolls- total €3.80 instead of one that has no tolls Shock it should take me an hour less and not involve horrible bumpy roads Star. I think saving time is definitely worth the expense.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/04/2018 14:08

Dress is fabulous em and if it makes you feel amazing too double win!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/04/2018 15:10

£11 two the ordinary skincare products. Had to order from two separate companies to get free shipping. Ordering direct from the ordinary added £5 to the bill. Might get 60p cashback.

Bonkers.

Cagliostro · 24/04/2018 15:38

Gorgeous em and fab trainers wreck

Nice morning, walked down to sports club with DH. Don’t usually on a Tuesday (older kids class so Caglets don’t take part) but wanted the fresh air and exercise after feeling really low yesterday. Met the mum of one of the pupils, she was saying how much difference it’s made to her son, how it’s the only club he loves and talks about, etc. Aaaah! Proud wifey alert 😂😍 was really nice going to watch the last bit (having sat in the cafe) and seeing the rapport he has with the boys.

Then came back and made mackerel on toast for DD2. With roasted asparagus. Not sure if it’s just because she’s getting better at eating, rather than particularly liking this, but OMG she scarfed it down.

£84 Tesco and £2 cafe. It’s been a good home ed day, we are trying to increase the structure at the moment with more bookwork and research projects etc. They are responding quite well. Off to tap class shortly after a long easter break. Can’t wait to see DS in his little shoes again. Too cute. 💖

Just looked outside and it’s chucking down though 😡😭 and DD1 nicked one of my scones, and then declared she didn’t want it after a few bites. What a waste. 😡

ememem84 · 24/04/2018 15:42

Holdup cag dd2 as in cagletini?! Ate mackerel on toast?! Amazing!! Also jealous. I love mackerel. Mmm

Just in car waiting to pick ds up. Man I miss him.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/04/2018 15:43

Quiet day here. I went shopping two mornings running, which turned out to be an error and I am totally knackered now. Pacing error.

Ds is playing computer games, which is fine by him.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/04/2018 15:58

I'm envious of the calibre of food dd2 is eating and I hadn't even grasped that it was cagletini! ShockEnvy

I'm a savage I'd have eaten the remains of the scone Blush

Cagliostro · 24/04/2018 16:09

I can’t be too smug TBF if she’s anything like the others she’ll be a fussy little madam when she hits toddlerhood and beyond! So I’m making the most of it while it lasts 😂 I cooked the fish/asparagus in paper, mashed the fish up with a bit of philly (while removing bones, there were 3!) and spread it.

My other two wouldn’t touch mackerel in a million years. It’s enough of a miracle that DS ate fish fingers last night 🙄

I couldn’t eat the leftover scone, I’d had two already 😳😳😳

I need to leave for tap. Of course cagletini is asleep.

WreckTangled · 24/04/2018 16:17

The gov.uk tax free childcare website is down and has been since about 10am Angry so annoying as I'm already late paying it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/04/2018 16:20

Totally would've eaten the scone too. I eat dhs leftovers. He thinks it's minging.

3 is the magic number.

ChristmasSeacow · 24/04/2018 17:07

If I’d already eaten two scones I’d have left a respectable break and then eaten it. Say, half an hour Wink

Also, good eating, Cagletini! My DD eats proper good food sometimes. But then the next meal could be chucked on the floor without even trying it. No rhyme or reason 🙄

Bought the lovely bluebell print I wanted, £25 including frame was pretty good I thought. Also spent £3 on 9 used kids books from a Facebook group. And £8 Tesco on bread and fruit (since I parked there for the art shop).

scattyspice · 24/04/2018 17:14

Lovely dress em are you going somewhere nice?

Wow cag fancy baby food!

Sunny you may need to establish some boundaries when your parents come. We found that having a regular day to see mil helped avoid the random requests at inconvenient times. Mind you she lives 1hr drive away and rest of family down south so you may not want / need to do this. Hope the move goes smoothly.

NSD 😊

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/04/2018 17:23

Scatty That's good advice thanks. My Dad recently said "We're only going to see you once a fortnight when we come down." quite firmly when I was on the phone, so I think it might not be me setting the boundaries. LOL! They'll be living a ten minute drive away.

ememem84 · 24/04/2018 18:07

That’s amazing cag good work cagletini!!

Ds has spag Bol the other day. But I didn’t mash the spag up enough. Sigh.

scatty I’ll wear the dress to either a friends wedding evening do (with silver glitter heels and a canary yellow handbag) or to ds’ christening (probably same shoes/bag) and it’ll be perfect for smart days at work - brown wedges or nude heels and a cardigan or a blazer. So for £42 it potentially does a lot.

scattyspice · 24/04/2018 18:27

It will be a very useful dress em, I have a family party this summer and have no clue what to wear as rarely go out now.

Sounds like you will be ok Sunny .
