MeadowHay · 18/04/2018 19:50

Thanks for all the flowers and well wishes. I think it was Fluffy who said about getting a rescue? We adopted our boys from a rescue, they were unwanted children's pets living in not amazing conditions outside with little interaction. Our piggy who has passed over the rainbow bridge used to sink his teeth into you when you tried to hold him, we imagine they were handled badly by the kids. He was terrified of everything. With time and love he grew to enjoy a little cuddle and hasn't bitten anyone for years. We will deffo be going down rescue route for a new companion or two for our remaining boy if possible. There is a guinea pig rescue here in the North West and we will be contacting them soon and hopefully we can sort something suitable.

Seacow So sorry to hear about your dad, I hope the hospital are taking good care of him Flowers.

I am feeling happier today though now that the sun is shining again. I am grumpy for like half the year with the bad weather lol.

Paid our rent before and back in overdraft in that account. I do have about £2000 of savings in another account though that I need to transfer and split between this account and DH's. I reckon we spent about £1000 on our poorly piggy. Tbh it could easily be significantly more than that but there's no point in sitting down and working it out as we did what we had to do, it's gone now but I don't regret it despite the outcome, at least I can say we did everything we could.

Spends today was £5.80 on my lunch at work. We got in terrible expensive habits with food and stuff because of being so stressed and so time poor nursing our poorly piggy so we need to readjust now and get back into our better habits. I need to do an online shop as we don't have much in. Oh also £5 on taxi from the health centre to work after my whooping cough vacc. I could probably have claimed that back as on the NHS low income scheme but I forgot to ask for a receipt Sad.

WreckTangled · 18/04/2018 20:35

Cag she's so cute!

£8 M&S on lunch tomorrow, sweets for dh and milk. I've got stat training tomorrow so I'll be sitting in a hall with 80 other people boiling to death trying not to fall asleep. I needed nice food.

Ds just swore in his sleep BlushGrin he mumbled then said 'bloody hell!' Too much Harry Potter I think...!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/04/2018 06:39

Quite Do you have the my waitrose card? I think it’s linked to that. Or set up a new account in your dhs name.

ememem84 · 19/04/2018 07:10

Morning all.

Another night spent in with ds here. He’s fine in himself just coughing now. And it frightens him I think. He woke up at midnight and I gave him some calpol and then went into his room. Dh has done a bath and put him to bed last night. Poor ds must have been so hot! Long sleeve vest, thick onesie (from jojo, these always seem thicker material) sleeping bag, the heater was on in his room and windows closed.

I opened windows removed his sleeping bag changed his vest to a sleeveless one. And ds slept on bed with me again. Not the most comfy but I think it helps him knowing I’m there.
Bit of a broken sleep for me again.

Dropping him at nursery at around 9 and the. May go to the gym or may just come home and nap.

WreckTangled · 19/04/2018 07:24

I had to peel ds' eyes apart this morning, poor thing! Should be a nsd today.

QuiteCleanBandit · 19/04/2018 07:27

Oh fab Fluffy will hang on.
Im playing Sainsburys for nectar points deals 😎so will do Waitrose when Ive been paid .
Still no Nectar points from Boden purchases 😒

Wolfcub · 19/04/2018 08:14

£14 yesterday on fish and chips for me and ds, his choice. £10 sponsorship for friend. £10 contribution to end of year collection for the organisers of one of ds’s activities. Will need to buy some bits for work today - mostly water and tissues for a meeting I’m holding and coffee and toast or similar for me before hand. My appetite is coming and going so I’m just eating when hungry (except for teatime with ds) rather than to any real schedule. £4 parking but can claim this back

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/04/2018 09:13

Wolf isn't it odd how a person's appetite can just fall right over during emotional stress? I think that is a lot of why I have what I call food intolerance, but it's not an easy job to fix it.

Are you taking a vitamin supplement? If you're not eating much, it might be a good idea to do that to keep you going.

I just managed to organise for ds to stay with a friend while I go for a blood test later today. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a major achievement for us.

LonelyOversharer · 19/04/2018 09:17

Time trial last night (we do cycling events for newbies), 43 people turned up! I was very nervous as I am the timer, but got it all right, and did not fuck up. Phew! Was great fun actually. We used our (don't hold your breath) £21 profit putting diesel in on the way home. It's not done for material gain. But two local clubs worked together last night. This is an absolute first. Traditionally all clubs hate each other round here, it has been very wearing.

Any how, I had a monstorous lack of caffiene headache, no coffee from 3pm until this morning. I am clearly a total addict.

Sunny here today, dc have gone in sans coats (in north cumbria), and I'm itching to get out in the garden, but I need to work as well.

Hoping for a nsd, but must top up the lunch accounts for school.

Laska5772 · 19/04/2018 09:19

QuiteCleanBandit I've P'md you Smile

Laska5772 · 19/04/2018 09:20

Im off to mainland to day to see my Mum.. she sounded pretty good last night..
lovely day here !

ememem84 · 19/04/2018 10:11

Ds has been deposited at nursery and I’ve done the gym and showered. A load of washing is on.

Beautiful sunny day here. Was going to spend the day indoors cleaning etc. But dad called (dmum is in the uk visiting dgrandma) and wanted to know what I was up to and did I fancy a walk. He’ll buy me a sandwich for lunch.

He also needs to go to the garden centre (which he hates hence wanting company) and wants to go to the charity shop where I found those Pyrex dishes to ask about a volunteer role.

So. I may spend on the dishes if they’re their.

Picking ds up at 4-430. This will be his longest day so far. I’m doing it gently.

Yesterday’s facial was marvellous. Felt so relaxed. My face was cleansed scrubbed brushes rolled and I left glowing. 😀

ememem84 · 19/04/2018 10:26

FFs “mum panic” just set in. Nursery rang. I saw the number on my phone and stared at it.

Turns out they’re going out for a walk and ds doesn’t have sunscreen (because I haven’t bought any yet) and can they put the factor 50 stuff hey have on him. Panic over.

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/04/2018 11:02

LOL! That's a fine healthy sign of attachment. Well done. Smile

ememem84 · 19/04/2018 11:12

In my defence - that’s the first time it’s happened. And I’m surprised at how panicked I was. I’m usually a “meh whatever he’ll be right” sort.

I’ve asked dh to get some sunscreen for him. As he’s in town and I’m not.

WreckTangled · 19/04/2018 11:21

Em I always feel like that when I see the school phoning! Dd has been at school for four years now and it hasn't got easier!

Cagliostro · 19/04/2018 11:38

Ah bless you em they sound like a great nursery and he’s in good hands but it doesn’t stop the “aaaah my baby” feeling! I gave myself a fright the other night, normally I keep Cagletini in with me when she wakes for a feed in the night, but this time I was getting uncomfortable and stuck her back in the basket. When I woke up a couple of hours later I forgot I’d done that and instantly panicked wondering where the heck she’d gone 😳😳😳

I should be enjoying the weather. But so tired. DH is doing all the club runs today (trampolining and Badgers). So much laundry to do. I’ve also read through DSD’s dissertation proposal. She’s doing it about autism 💖
