Currently have foils in my hair and am sat under the heater. Reading closer magazine.

Have had two coffees.

All this alone time is so nice!!

ChristmasSeacow · 18/04/2018 11:37

DS was quite upset about the jumper this morning - I was on the verge of giving in when he got distracted by his sunglasses (which he loves). I think it jogged his memory about summer and the different clothing ‘rules’ as he was a lot happier after that. Wouldn’t take them off when we got to school though - but I’ll leave that to his teacher! It was so warm even first thing this morning I didn’t need a cardigan myself. Such a turnaround.

Unfortunately dad is back in hospital after a dash in an ambulance last night. It doesn’t look as though he’ll be going home again. Sad

WreckTangled · 18/04/2018 11:38

Seacow Sad I'm sorry about your dad Thanks
My dc insisted on taking their coats today because they didn't want to be told off Grinschool is strict with coats but only when it's cold!

CremeEggThief · 18/04/2018 11:50

Thinking of you, Seacow. X

ememem84 · 18/04/2018 11:52

Flip flops here. Wasn’t sure what to dress ds in so opted for lightweight leggings and a long sleeve tahirt. And socks. But he can take socks off and I don’t have any baby sunscreen or a hat. Must buy these.

Nursery said if he goes outside he’ll stay in the shade and they have some sunscreen we can use for today.

SunnyLikeThursday · 18/04/2018 12:05

So sorry to hear that Christmas. FlowersBrew Gosh.

I didn't even think of changing ds's clothes to cooler ones this morning, though I've been stomping around town in short sleeves trying to get some vitamin D and it was warm enough all right.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 18/04/2018 12:43

Sorry to hear that seacow

SunnyLikeThursday · 18/04/2018 13:19

Ds just told me off for not paying enough attention to his imaginary friends. I stand corrected.

WreckTangled · 18/04/2018 13:44

I just had some of the humous that I have dd for lunch today. It blew my head off Shock poor dd probably had a shock at lunch time!

SunnyLikeThursday · 18/04/2018 13:53

I just read this article about having really cheap nutritionally complete food by living on the wartime ration diet. That's amazing isn't it?

www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/03/31/world-war-two-ration-diet-woman-loses-seven-stone_n_5061383.html

My Dad mentioned the ration diet after I said I was off to find some cod liver oil to get my vitamins.

SunnyLikeThursday · 18/04/2018 13:53

I just made kale ice cubes. Yay!

Cagliostro · 18/04/2018 14:10

Oh no seacow I’m so sorry. I hope they are making him comfortable Thanks

Em I don’t have those either, the change in weather shocked me yesterday. When we left for chessington she was in a woolly hat and snowsuit! She actually caught the sun a little in the afternoon. :( DH is choosing a sun hat for her this afternoon as they’ve popped to town before gym. My friend is going to knit her one using really light yarn but in the meantime she needs something. I am consoling myself with the fact she needs vitamin D.

Cagliostro · 18/04/2018 14:24

She tried her first food today though! Quite a success. She also tried a sippy cup of water for the first time. 😀

LonelyOversharer · 18/04/2018 14:26

Finally warming up here, was raining this morning.

seacow I'm so sorry. I hope he is comfy. Is it nearer for you to visit? Thinking of you

I went into town to loot toys r us with a £20 gift card. I spent £16 of it, there was nothing else to buy! It was quite sad, really. See photo, all "free". Yes, 48 energiser AAA batteries (£1.30 a pack).

£28 in Claires on beanie thingy toys, 1 big, 3 medium, all wanted gifts for birthdays. Then I did some top up shops, will look at the reciepts later!

Went and made birthday cakes for my nephews (my sister had had a cake fail and was a bit frazzled), boy her kitchen in nice! Home now and flapjack to make for time trial tonight.

Sorry to hear that your dad is back in hospital Seacow.

Wolfcub · 18/04/2018 15:57

Sea so sorry to hear your dad is back in hospital. Thinking of you both, I hope he’s comfortable and up to a visit soon Flowers

Cag that’s a lovely picture of Cagletini first food is so exciting

Wreck I bet dd will have something to say when she gets home if it’s super spicy/strong

Re-wrote my letter to dh and toned it down a bit. I’ve packaged it up and am taking it to the post office shortly

Meeting with sw went well I think, I made sure I said that me need for info and solid plans was all about my own ability to cope and manage the situation so hopefully they understand I’m not a difficult individual I just deal with things in a particular way

The weather is beautiful here, it’s really lifted my mood.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 18/04/2018 16:32

lonely that's brilliant there was bugger all left in ours when we Went!

For those with babies muslin cloths make a great makeshift Sunhat for babies tied like bandanas so they cover the back of the neck 😁 mine wore those alot as I always had one in my bag!

seacow thinking of you and your family 💐

cag your little one seems to be enjoying That! I did baby led weaning with both dds fun but messy 😂

Low spend day £1.55 in tesco on bread and crumpets.

Need to buy sun cream as dds are so pale and burn so easily. Will dig out the hats for the morning too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/04/2018 16:46

Born Thanks for the link, I'd seen it but not really understood for some reason.

£5.50 garden pump spray and 2kg oxygen bleach. Have cleaned back patio 👌
£20 Tesco. Incl wine.

Frugal things;
Waitrose sent me £20 off a £100 shop vouchers.
12p cashback came through.

That's brilliant adora. Dh always says I should do it but I don't think I ever had ppi.

Dh knows a woman whose dad didn't think he'd had it, claimed because all these claims companies kept ringing him & when he asked his bank they offered him £100 to sod off. He claimed directly to the bank and got £20k.

SnugglySnerd · 18/04/2018 17:12

I also need to conjure up sun cream and hats for nursery!

Lovely pic Cag.

Sorry to hear about your dad Seacow.

Bornlazy · 18/04/2018 18:52

Sorry to hear about your Dad seacow - hope he is being kept comfortable Flowers

Lovely pictures Cag. She is getting so big 😍

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/04/2018 18:56

laska Set up a second account in your dhs name, I did that last week and got a welcome to waitrose pamphlet.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/04/2018 19:13

Sorry to hear about your dad sea

Lovely photo cag.

Apparently all ours have left is baby stuff. I didn't bother with the other one over Easter, wish I had now.

Sunny day here but stuck in the office all day. Nsd though.

Aldi or Asda suncream are good and 5* rated and frugal. Boots too but it stains like a bastard and is more expensive. All good for baby skins though
