Love that may yet happen and if so his employment would likely go with!

ememem84 · 16/04/2018 19:36

Ha fluffy no not #vegan cousin. Relatively normal cousin (apart from the letting kids watch the tv)

Dh has spent all afternoon with itchy eyes. Psychosomatic conjunctivitis. My eyes are also feeling sticky. Stupid brain imagining things! (I hope!)

We’re all home now.

Spends today £156 storage (which corrected the bounced direct debit)
£32 boots on moisturiser (plus some freebies!!!) also got a nose sucker, saline drops, banana wafers; £2.70 parking.

WreckTangled · 16/04/2018 19:42

Wolf this all sounds so stressful for you Thanks

Dd likes the news, they watch newsround at school and she has a subscription to a junior newspaper. I don't let her watch the adult news though.

£25 swimming lesson.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/04/2018 19:55

Excellent Scatty. So much cheaper.

£2.78 two beers and eggs in aldi. It’s a two beer kind of day.

Wolfcub · 16/04/2018 20:26

A two beer evening, are you ok Fluffy?

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/04/2018 20:28

Yes thank you.

Unescorted · 16/04/2018 20:35

wolf that sounds super stressful.
Em you DS sounds so cute.... Hope he recovers soon.
Cag your DD is cute too 😀
Welcome scatty
Mammy did you feel the love for the cottage?
Fluffy it is a 2 beer day here as well. Aldi have bottles of Wainwright in a multi pack that work out £1.25 a bottle.
I have finally got an appointment for my eye. It is all a bit scary - if they decide it needs treatment they will just crack on and do it. They have a fairly gruesome list of symptoms and treatments...mine are showing a couple of the worry markers so I am preparing for having to stay in.

Wolfcub · 16/04/2018 20:40

Unescorted glad the appt has finally come through. Hopefully it will all be clear and fine but I get preparing to stay in and being ready for that. If there’s anything we can do to support do say.

Unescorted · 16/04/2018 21:11

Ta... and likewise. If sea can keep up her supply of droll comments that would be helpful.... Although I am not sure giggling in a waiting room of old people (not ageist just a fact) is the done thing.

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2018 21:22

Glad that the appointment has come through, Unescorted.

The cottage sounds like a safe option, if nothing you prefer comes up, Mammy.

DS had an argument with his dad over the payment yesterday, so it's all been a bit fraught here. We will all need to talk and try to clear the air at some point, but not just yet. Still too raw. It's really taken its toll on me, but I feel a bit better now I've admitted it to myself. Thanks for all your support yesterday, lovely Frugaleers.

Spends: £15.10 on quite a big top-up shop in the Co-op and £4.80 bus fares, back from Pilates.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/04/2018 21:24

Just don’t go dressed as the grim reaper and giggle. Can you take chocolate?. I bloody would.

I need to start home brewing...Dh will be against it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/04/2018 21:32

Go on giggle, then report back on the dagger looks. Defo prep to stay in. Is the appointment soon?

The cottage sounds like a possibility Mammy. Have you got a mediation ppointment yet?

Tight is still doable though wolf. Hope H is going to be ok about money. It's the bring unable to plan that is hard. Is DS no contact through advice or choice? Don't Answer if you don't want. Pleased the school know though it will help to have people to talk to and look out for you.

Ah poorly ds, hope the drops work em.

Crème is H going to cough up. Shame it causes a row.
£3 on cheese today. Cakes went down a storm. £22 later this week on new scales.

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2018 22:00

No definitely not, Life. He told DS when they saw each other yesterday that he wouldn't help.

Laska5772 · 16/04/2018 22:03

Hmm Love that does sound a bit worrying..but hopefully it wont be!

I am feeling stressed from both generational directions at the moment with both DS and DM worries .. but fingers crossed one of them may be resolved if DS gets a job he is going for..
.
I spent about £80 today in a combination of M&S, TKMaxx and Tescos . All stuff for DS job interview tomorrow.. some of that will be refunded .. depending on what fits/ isn't needed ...

I really wanted a Gin&T when i got home this evening but settled for a Seedlip and tonic ( Its lovely and 0% alc)

ememem84 · 16/04/2018 22:17

Dh is in with ds tonight. Mummy needs some sleep.

The house smells of menthol and eucalyptus. As does ds. Windows are open so his room is nice and cool (but not cold) he has new bedding. He’s had a lovely big bath. We’ve pinned him down and eye dropped him. He’s been snufflerubbed. ANd dropped straight off to sleep. Hopefully he’ll sleep through ish.

I know dh is exhausted too so hope he has a good sleep.

Catface has gone nuts. But I’ve discovered cats are partial to a bit of menthol and eucalyptus. Makes them loopy.

Unescorted · 16/04/2018 22:26

life it is on 26th
Fluffy have you got a costume I can borrow? I will give you my beer making tips..... Think of it as a cross between stock, tea, jam and bread and you can't go wrong. I made everyone I know buy the flip top bottles of beer from Aldi so I now have 52 bottles. The capping is a pain.
Creme I can go round with a gammy eye dressed as the grim reaper and scare him into paying.

Unescorted · 16/04/2018 22:27

laska fingers crossed for your DS tomorrow.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/04/2018 22:28

Late sign in, busy day!

Have finally got a working washing machine - thank god!! Had trouble attaching the hose bit and flooded my cupboard but fingers crossed it's all okay now. Has stressed me out a lot not having a washing machine all week.

I avoid the news as well, dd stresses a lot about things and I find it depressing. I feel guilty about not watching it though!! Have been seeing a lot via fb on the Windrush thing which is making me very angry, I honestly don't think I could hate this government anymore than I do.

My day off is tomos 😊

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 16/04/2018 22:39

Went to Lidl £28 and Tesco £29. But stocked up on fruit, veg and my favourite yogurts that are on offer. Put on a lb at slimming world this week so felt very grumpy but determined to loose it this week!

This week's meals

Homemade pizzas, chips and broccoli
Stir fry
Quorn roast
Loaded potatoes and salad
Shepherd's pie
Chilli and rice
Savoury flapJack and new potatoes
Pasta and pesto (I will have leftovers as can't eat pasta)

Highly recommend frozen berries - much cheaper and fine for porridge or with yogurt. A bit squishy for on their own :)

Thanks for the congrats cag

mammy I'm planning on using the monthlies which is around £15 per month so not too bad!

I don't read the news, dh tells me the non graphic need to know bits if i ask him. And dds we answer questions age appropriately. No need to see or hear the bad things when they are still so innocent and carefree.

Wolfcub · 17/04/2018 05:32

Laska fingers crossed for your ds today

Have a good day frugalleers

mammymammyIRL · 17/04/2018 05:37

Ds has had his first nappy free night, he woke just now to go to toilet, a little dribble came before he woke, I'm super happy Grin

Cottage I felt a bit deflated leaving there I guess, because it's still all so far away as we've to sort out our own house first. And I thought the gateway was part of house so had a different vision for it. It's still entirely an option though. Auctioneer suggested H pay me off and we all move on, but that's not going to happen because he wouldn't be able to raise that kind of money. I could still see myself there though. There hasn't been any other interest in it, I asked & he said someone was looking at it last week, that was me peeking in windows Smile
There's another cottage for sale closer to us which has 4 bedrooms going to call about that today. I can't find it by travelling along the road Hmm
Lifelong I don't have mediation appointment yet, I called them yesterday to find out how far away that is but didn't get a reply

Girlie well done on washing machine

Love that's very strange about your employment contract, it should definitely have been mentioned before now.

OP posts:
Loveabaconsandwich · 17/04/2018 06:44

I am a bit grumpy about the contract though because there was an admin job going at the school I interviewed at last year, but decided not to apply as it was full time during term time and my current hours are better. Checked the closing date and it was 12 noon yesterday so too late Sad

On the plus side it now won’t look bad if I apply for another job as I can say my contract says three months. But I’m beginning to settle there and getting used to all the swearing and crazy going’s on so I wanted this better work/life balance at least for a while.

Good luck for your DS today laska

I hope the mediation appointment comes through soon mammy as I’m excited for you to be able to be getting on with the next stage of your life away from DH

Well done on sorting the washing machine girlie. Have you run a load yet?

Spendy today as car is being serviced and Ocado delivering food. On the plus side, stuck at home as no car so shouldn’t buy anything else.

Our clearing of wardrobes has really put me off buying much at the moment. All the wasted money from what we are getting rid of is Shock

scattyspice · 17/04/2018 06:51

Morning all 😊
Good luck with the house hunting mammy
Hope DS slept well em
Work today, need petrol.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/04/2018 07:09

Ah crème that's awful. Arse. Definitely get in touch with the school and explain.

Mammy, there will be other cottages when the time right.

Hope people got some sleep. We didn't as ds was poorly last night. Just the once. There seems to be a bug going round.

That's not too long to wait unescorted.

Nsd planned today. Will save £95 as cancelling one of dd ballet. Will see what goes on with car too as it's gone back. Will not cost anything though.

WreckTangled · 17/04/2018 07:30

What a wanker creme.

Should be a nsd today.
