I need this though as my eyebrows are white blond and impossible to see otherwise!

Well done wreck dd

DuchessofManchester · 27/03/2018 19:15

Mind if I join? Always manage the bills and food shop but wasting money on lunches and unnecessary clothes shopping. Frivolous spending is where I fall down.

mammymammyIRL · 27/03/2018 19:54

Welcome duchess all welcome here

ememem84 · 27/03/2018 20:02

Omfg. An eBay purchase that I’d forgotten about arrived. A shirt from topshop (brand new with tags) with a wicked cat print. I’m so happy. Grin

Baby food made - well peas cooked and smushed and put into little pots.

We had JO gnarly peanut chicken for dinner - le yum. With broccoli. Mmmmm.

While Marvin was on I threw in a spare chicken breast from the pack, and am also currently roasting a sweet potato and a butternut squash for baby smushing, salads, wraps etc.

Washing done. Phew. Busy couple of hours.

Taytocrisps · 27/03/2018 20:10

Welcome Duchess

Unescorted · 27/03/2018 20:49

Evening. I did post yesterday but lost it which was very careless.

Sea & laska hope you are both ok. It is so difficult and words are really inadequate at times.

Welcome new people.

Creme I have exactly the same as you. I think it is a bug and therefore didn't ditch the food.

I still haven't heard on the job front and no appointment for the eye...but it has only been less than a week.

Wolfcub · 27/03/2018 20:50

Evening all. I feel guilty for moaning when so many people on the thread have real problems but I cannot moan in real life. I am exhausted and fed up and over emotional. I had a really miserable day at work and I am sat in a really crap hotel room feeling ill, and sad and sorry for myself whilst the rest of the team party. I am trying to do two peoples jobs with no help and no thanks and no one takes any problems seriously. Grrrr. I have no reserves of energy to cope and my colleagues just think I’m an antisocial twat.

Em there definitely has to be something going on with your dh if he isn’t this much of a knob normally. A car seat and high chair is the minimum to buy for your parents. For years my parents had ds starting 4 days a week and gradually reducing as he went to nursery more. We had double everything right down to wellies. A lot of it was second hand but the point was he was there all day and he needed this stuff.

Hope those feeling poorly start to feel better soon.

Unescorted · 27/03/2018 20:55

wolf feeling crappy and stressed is a real problem especially when it is caused at work because there is a lack of control.

Em hope your dh snaps out of it soon. Could it be due to the palaver with the flat?

ememem84 · 27/03/2018 21:03

Dh’s strop is to do with the flat and mil. The flats is easy to deal with. Mil not so much but we’ll deal with that. I’m letting him deal with it and then we’ll deal with it. He isn’t usually this much of a knobber.

ememem84 · 27/03/2018 21:03

On the flat side - our buyers are willing to wait until the issue re the fire certificate is sorted. Takes the pressure off somewhat.

MrsOH2004 · 27/03/2018 21:10

Something I didn't admit to in my 1st post, we're looking at buying our council house this year, which is a big no no on here , but it's the only way we'll own our own home, I do apologize if I offend anyone with that Blush

Wolfcub · 27/03/2018 21:18

MrsOH there is no judgement on this thread we are all doing our best for ourselves and our families.

Em that’s good news about your buyers.

Unescorted very frustrating that you haven’t heard yet, hopefully something will come through soon

Unescorted · 27/03/2018 21:18

Em good to hear that they are willing to wait.m
MrsOH there is no judgement on this thread.

ememem84 · 27/03/2018 21:19

MrsO can I ask why it’s a no no? It is because you keep it and there’s one less? I don’t know much about it. Where I am they don’t sell them off.

Unescorted · 27/03/2018 21:21

wolf tell me about it.... I keep jumping each time my phone goes (job) and DH is on post watch (appointment)

MrsOH2004 · 27/03/2018 21:22

Thank you, it's been a tough couple of years regarding Dh's work so the fact that he is now paye and it's with a local council means a better time for us, we simply could not afford to buy in our local area, and we haven't had the money to save for a deposit anyway, so thank you x

MrsOH2004 · 27/03/2018 21:24

Pretty much it ememem84, but we can not afford to buy any other way, this is our forever home anyway so we wouldn't be selling it.

MrsOH2004 · 27/03/2018 21:26

Unescorted, I was like that after my interview in December, they said they would ring the next day if I was successful, I though I'd not done very well but they rang me!! So fingers crossed for you x

CremeEggThief · 27/03/2018 21:28

Welcome to our newbies! MrsOH, you have to do what is right for you and your family. No judgement whatsoever from me.

Em, if MIL is at the root of your DH's bad behaviour recently, it's understandable, if not justifiable, going from what you've said in the past. That's good that your buyers are willing to wait.

Oh no, not you as well, Unescorted. I threw out the food last night, but think it's a bug now, as I slept loads today and keep getting a high temperature and feeling wiped out. No more diarrhoea or cramps though, thank goodness. I almost ate normally today too- scrambled eggs and 2 slices of toast for brunch and a jacket potato with cheese and pesto (I couldn't stomach baked beans yet) and a ramekin of Greek yogurt and honey for tea. Also had 2 Bourbon biscuits and a few squares of chocolate. Supposed to be having veggie chilli tomorrow, but I might need to re-think that and see if we have anything blander.

NSD.

mammymammyIRL · 27/03/2018 21:28

MrsOH in Ireland many people buy their council house, I don't see why it's a no no, surely it's one less family searching for a home?

Em you're quite the domestic goddess Smile ds's little food pots are being used for paint pots now these days. The lids never stayed on them very well Hmm

Unescorted · 27/03/2018 21:30

Some people think that when they are bought they are lost housing stock leaving fewer houses for those who are on the housing list. They forget that the housing list goes down by 1 too. The other objection is that by reducing stock the house prices increase...in reality it is the relaxation of lending and capital gains exemptions that more directly drives house price inflation and rent increases. Unfortunately all sides have no desire to change the narrative that is trotted out. I could bore for England on the subject.

CremeEggThief · 27/03/2018 21:30

Great news about your clever DD too, Wreck.

MrsOH2004 · 27/03/2018 21:32

Thank you, I feel better now I've been honest.

MrsOH2004 · 27/03/2018 21:40

So that's why we need to save for home improvements, it needs alot, in fact everything Grin
