CremeEggThief · 22/03/2018 18:07

Oops, Lonely! Sounds dangerous!

Very organised breakdown of your budgeting, Mammy.

Spends: £6.77, posting a parcel and a letter to Ireland.

Wolfcub · 22/03/2018 18:12

Lonely I hate it when they do that, dh is shocking for it.
Em I hope you ripped the lawyer a new one, I would be livid.
Transferred some money to the holiday company, dh has paid for his half and i owe £200 which I will pay on payday next week. A year ago we never thought we could avoid a holiday and now we’ve managed to pay for one completely without using credit, dh’s Half has come from possessions he’s sold and mine all from being careful. I am really proud of us.

Laska5772 · 22/03/2018 18:16

I may be very untrusting (esp as he is much better than I am with money) but Id never give my DH my credit card. Having said that we do have a joint account but he has never used it apart from putting money in . this of course may change when he is here f/t.. (as you know he works away all week)

Laska5772 · 22/03/2018 18:17

Well done wolf thats fantastic

northender · 22/03/2018 18:20

Wreck I hadn't noticed that but can't say I'm surprised, Jeremy has been wanting to get rid of increments for ages. I bet that's the same for Band 5s too then or else there would be a massive overlap with 6s. I'm even less keen on it now. If my union has a ballot I may vote against, it's really short sighted to accept it as I'm sure it'll be worse in the long run.

Spendy, spendy day. £220 on food shop Shock, but half of that was meat from the farm shop which will last us at least a month. The most bargainous thing was a massive piece of free range Yorkshire pork shoulder with the bone in which will make an amazing slow roast with crackling next weekend & feed about 20, for £12. I've also stocked up on snacks etc in preparation for the easter holidays as ds should be at home revising most of the time!

northender · 22/03/2018 18:21

That's great wolf, well done
Lonely I've never got on with brown rice, virtuous but no fun!

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/03/2018 18:26

Brown rice ? Isn't that like an offensive weapon?

SunnyLikeThursday · 22/03/2018 18:41

I used to eat loads of brown rice. It does take a very long time to cook, right enough.

How long will it take you Dark?

Quite did you find out what the midnight gas surge was?. Our heatings factory setting was to come on at 22:30. I go to bed at 10pm.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/03/2018 19:03

Spin dryers what you want Quite but I have watched tutorials on those balls and the theory sounds solid.

Mse would say use balls of tin foil.

Wolfcub · 22/03/2018 19:06

I have to say I’ve worked at home today and I’ve kept catching the whiff of hamster (ds has two). They have a very particular biscuity scent

QuiteCleanBandit · 22/03/2018 19:07

Would tinfoil ruin the clothes?
The thought of metal on metal is a no for me anyway.
I only do the bedlinen .
Everything else goes on the hot airer .
Its an electric surge (I think)
No -no clues ,eveything is off and we are asleep
