We only put our hot water on for a couple of hours every few days. The shower is electric though.

ememem84 · 20/03/2018 19:46

Right. Email sent to EA and lawyer. Essentially saying that we appreciate there have been delays, we’ve done all we can, were waiting on the buyers bank and we want everyone’s attention focussed to complete on 6 April.

I’m in bed. Dh has been annoying. So have left him to it with ds. I was awake at 3. And never went back to sleep.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 20/03/2018 19:46

My hot water is on all the time but it it only heats up when the water drops below a certain temp so it's actually more cost effective to leave on rather let water cool and reheat iyswim.

Another Nsd 😇 am pleased that I've kept food bill down loads this month.

ememem84 · 20/03/2018 19:47

I need to put the hot water deeley on a timer. We have a timer. The bloody plumber switched it off the other week.

WreckTangled · 20/03/2018 20:29

I want to get up but he looks so comfy!

LonelyOversharer · 20/03/2018 22:23

First bloody gardening of the year, and I've tweaked my back ffs. I'm ridiculously healthy as a rule, so this is seriously annoying. I'm going to take some nurofen and try to sleep it off.

Saw the adverts for the amazon easter sale, had a peruse, and didn't find anything to buy - result. So far this year my amazon spends are about £200 - 2dc birthdays (and paid off credit card straight away).

wreck I simply love your cat! His thick fur must feel divine. My cat was driving the dogs potty this afternoon by sitting on the wall by the conservatory, basically sticking his tounge out at them. They couldn't come out with me as the side gate was open. Then he was crying at the front door, being let in, walking past the dogs, to go back out the open conservatory door, onto the wall to taunt the dogs, and repeat. Cats.

Did anyone see the end of the one show? Where they showed a video of mums in cars signing to a song with their downs dc? I was in floods of tears - not like me at all. It's odd sock day tomorrow. Good job we have thousands of them.

mammymammyIRL · 20/03/2018 22:31

Welcome little hen

mammymammyIRL · 20/03/2018 22:32

€10 on tin whistle lessons at school, last one tomo, I last paid on 10th jan Blush

ChristmasSeacow · 20/03/2018 23:10

Mammy whistle lessons? For one of your children? I’d be worried about the cost to my sanity, never mind wallet Grin

Some emotional spends today Blush. I went with dd to visit a naice independent yarn store as I needed a distraction and some yarn for a pattern I want to make next. I bought what I needed and no more but it was expensive - two skeins of gorgeous alpaca and silk yarn for £40. Eek. Still, it conforms to my rule of only buying yarn when I already have a pattern chosen. And one-in, one-out on projects /WIPs (I’ve just about finished knitting a pinafore for dd). I also went into a random Japanese restaurant for lunch and had some excellent ramen. Dd had some sweet potato croquette things which went down quite well. I did try to clean up the floor and tipped well as she dropped quite a bit of it. But she was in a lovely mood at lunch so was good company. It was the nicest day I’ve had for a while - I have been feeling a bit ‘stuck in my london village’ as I hardly ever go anywhere. It’s good for my mental health, I should have a day out in the week a bit more often. Although the downside is that it is a lot of time in the buggy for dd.

We have the hot water on constantly, don’t you all need it a lot at random times during the day?! (I think I’m about to be expelled from the thread here Wink). I will need to think about this a bit more.

I am shattered as dd has been waking between 4.30 and 5.30am for days now and I’ve not been getting back to bed. Or having naps. This on top of one other night waking (and DS also usually needing attending to at some point). Grr. Must sleep now 😴

Welcome Hen. How’s the balance of wages /childcare looking for you?

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2018 06:03

Welcome hen

Sounds lovely day out sea
Hope your back is better lonely
Hope the email helps em
Wolf did you rest last night after the interview, hope it went well
Need, need where are you?

Top up today of fruit but that's it.

Wolfcub · 21/03/2018 06:16

Sea that sounds like a lovely day. Lonely your cat story made me laugh.
Bit of an unsettled night Life, came out of the interview feeling unusually confident but it’s worn off over time particularly as I’ve not heard from the boss and I’m pretty sure interviews were over yesterday so I’ve been replaying the damn thing in my mind to try and work out what I might have missed. Hopefully I’ll get news one way or another today and then I can stop fretting about it as it will be done
We had pizza last night as both of us were working in London and couldn’t be bothered when we got home £19 I think my food budget for the month is blown

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/03/2018 06:28

Welcome Hen.

I need hw for us to wash in the morning, then random handwashing during the day & one bath and one shower in the evening.

I put it on 20 minutes in the morning.

All my appliances are cold fill.

northender · 21/03/2018 06:30

Again, haven't fully read back. Will try to catch up properly tonight or tomorrow.
Sticking to meal plan, spending very little, this will change at the weekend!

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2018 06:37

Not hearing doesn't always mean not good. They may be having a hard time deciding or shared services might have a delay updating. Pleased your came out feeling confident though, even if you don't get it that's a boost.

Lonely I missed your cat story, v funny.

Hot water = combi boiler here. On tap so to speak

WreckTangled · 21/03/2018 06:51

Lonely that's so funny Grin

We only use hot water for hand washing and one or two baths a week, the tank keeps it warm for a couple of days.

I have a hospital appointment today need to see if I have change for parking. Also need fuel as only have 90 miles left. Eek. Hopefully can make it to this afternoon so I don't have to fill up at an expensive one.

Welcome hen! Is it your first dc?

WreckTangled · 21/03/2018 06:52

I had to do overnight blood sugar level testing last night so my alarm has been going off every two hours since 10pm. I'm knackered.

littleHen84 · 21/03/2018 07:23

Morning all! He is my first Dc it was all quite a shock to the system in those first few months. I think financially we should be ok just have to save a chunk for emergency situations and hope there isnt any whilst saving said chunk! I have tagged accrued (from last year) annual leave onto the end (which i am in now) but employer have said i wont get it until April but i was advised it would be this month..??quite worried it will be a squeeze, and a little stressed waiting for an answer.

ememem84 · 21/03/2018 07:49

Morning!!

2017 bonus hit my account this morning from work. Yay! More than I expected for just the 9 months I worked....

Also just been on the radio. Local radio competition with local dept store. They have launched their new fashion dept and new season stuff today. So are giving away vouchers. I called up the radio guy spun the wheel I said stop and it landed on £100 voucher. So I’m heading into town this morning so will stop by radio station and pick it up and go have a look at new clothes. Whoop!

WreckTangled · 21/03/2018 08:00

OMG em you jammy thing! Enjoy!

LonelyOversharer · 21/03/2018 08:23

em thats fab! Great news about your bonus too. Takes the edge off being in limbo for today.

My back is better after some sleep, but I might be pottering today, rather than gardening in anger.

seacow you know the rules about yarn purchases...pic please! I have a full wool warehouse basket, teal, blue and denim, mostly stylecraft special. I want to crochet a huge throw for the sofa. It's staying in the basket for now, as I have 3 crochet blankets on process atm.

Hope need is chronically busy...and ok.

Hi little hen welcome to our lovely corner of mn.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2018 08:34
