wreck I think they’re the same. All persons under 12 or under 4’5 (135cm) have to be in an “appropriate” car seat.
We bought the spin one. Ds is still rear facing for the moment.

We have snow again. More than last time and the schools are open. 🤔 go figure.

Should be nsd today. I was going out to get Ds more porridge but that can wait. If the snow stops we may venture out for a walk.

WreckTangled · 19/03/2018 07:26

I didn't know they did spin rear facing ones. That would have been so good, I always remember ds' leg getting tangled in the seatbelt.

Just saw the neighbours daughter slip and land on her bum. That'll be me soon.

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/03/2018 07:47

Good luck wolf, sending lots of positive thoughts your way

Hope today is fun and not too chilly cag

We have snow but DDs school still open. Not looking forward to driving on the snow/ice in a bit to work.

WreckTangled · 19/03/2018 08:18

School bus not coming. Gah.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/03/2018 08:29

Ooh that does sound good Em, which one was it? I have DS’s old not-spinning car seat and as he got bigger it got really difficult to lift and twist him into it.

Dashing off to school...

ememem84 · 19/03/2018 08:50

It’s a joie 360 spin seacow currently £250 in Mothercare (I think).

I’m still in bed. Cannot be bothered with today really. It’s cold. I find out today (hopefully) whether we’re moving so the rest of the week will be a panic to pack or a disappointment at not moving (again). And if it’s not today it’ll be tomorrow.

ememem84 · 19/03/2018 09:30

Oh the snow has stopped. Rain now.

Catface and ds are napping on mummy’s bed. Close enough together to be cute but far away so that ds can’t thump catface. She’s clever. He’s constantly trying to get her tail. Absolutely fascinated by her. She loves the attention.

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/03/2018 09:59

I have a list of thing to do as long as my arm, but have, on balance, decided just to go back to bed instead. #pacing

LonelyOversharer · 19/03/2018 10:37

Got my work finished at 1am, bloody hard to get up thismorning. Kids went straight in (instead of standing in the windy playground for 20mins), so I popped to lidl. £24, but got 3 climbing plants and 2 raspberry canes, so £10 there. Topped up for the week, forgot silly stuff like a butternut squash last week. Still have cash food money left.

Back home and I really want to get out into the garden, the snow is melting fast, but it is freezing outside.

Hope today goes really well cag

I'm seriously looking at booking a week away in the summer. Has anyone been to the haven park in Rhyl, North Wales? For a week we're looking at a grand in august, but I already have £400 saved. It's just that we have not had any kind of holiday for 7 long years. I think it's about time. My dc's expectations are so low that a trip to macdonalds is a treat, which is crap. I'd love to take them away. Could carefully meal plan it, and to be honest just being away would be amazing.

WreckTangled · 19/03/2018 11:03

Fun drive this morning

That looks sheet icy wreck not much fun. At least you have a fab safe car.

I am watching bloody Jeremy Kyle instead of getting on. Right, enough. Greenhouse here I come.

ememem84 · 19/03/2018 12:05

I’m a at dparents. I couldn’t be in my house so ds and I have come to visit. There is a seagull. It is tapping on the window. Trying to get in.

ememem84 · 19/03/2018 13:14

£16.99 wireless Bluetooth headphones. My wired ones went in the wash and are completely ruined 😭

£52 boots. Baby formula, porridge, shampoo, toothpaste, nappies.

mammymammyIRL · 19/03/2018 16:31

So shopping in store with list & both dc meant I went 33.94 over budget, dd bashed ds's nose into trolley, they looked for a few extras and I said no numerous times & yes a couple of times. Sad

They spent their Easons vouchers & dd used her world book day voucher & that trip just cost me 75c

Hickeys didn't have the plastic canvas I wanted for dds cross stitch so I've ordered it online for delivery to store & spent €7.80 on 4 skeins & 2 child size tapestry needles.
€4.90 on two sheets of plastic canvas.

Getting car washed now as my treat out of that tip I got on Friday.

Everyone's quiet today.

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/03/2018 16:39

My brain has been numbed with work-related boredom so not much to say here mammy

Duck pancakes for dinner.

How did it go wolf?

ChristmasSeacow · 19/03/2018 16:59

It is very quiet indeed! Thanks for the car seat info Em. I should probably just use what we already have but would like to save my back a bit!

Our snow has gone now. It was the very handy kind of snow that settles on cars and grass for kids to play with but not on paths or roads.

I am feeling a bit better about dd at the moment, thankfully. She rolled once on Friday, not since, but she is starting to pull herself around the floor commando-style and is trying to get up on her knees. So at least she wants to crawl! I have no idea why she doesn't want to roll over but I believe she can. So she must just be lazy Smile. I will keep watching for the social development cues.

Sadly I am feeling much more worried about my DDad since speaking to him yesterday. We are still all waiting for the scan results Sad

Only spends today were £70 for private speech and language therapy session. I was getting some advice re. DS and how to help him regulate his emotions. She was really helpful as usual so money very well spent!

I am considering buying a daylight lamp from amazon for doing craft by of an evening, to save my eyes. So might be a bit more spends but they are not too expensive. DSis says hers has really helped.

My oven is making a funny buzzing noise. I have shuffled all the trays around but it’s still doing it Hmm

LonelyOversharer · 19/03/2018 17:17

seacow dd2 was a commando crawler, so cute! You must be so worried about your dad. Mum has a daylight lamp, she swears by it.

We took a wheel back to the car garage next to macdonalds, and we didn't go in! No need as dc had snacks in the car, and tea (a chicken lasagne made with the last christmas turkey breast) is in the oven.

I spent 2 blissful hours in the (very warm) greenhouse, sorting out and planting seeds. I had my slug clearance crew in too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/03/2018 17:25

£7 Morrison's, £60 cash to pay some debts off. Sainsbury's tonight

ChristmasSeacow · 19/03/2018 17:39

Who /what are the slug clearance crew Lonely? You got a tame crow? Wink

Need you are very quiet these days, hope you are okay and things are okay with your DH.

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/03/2018 17:55

lonely I think we went there when I was 14. There was an amazing swimming pool with an epic wave machine that I really enjoyed.

Looking online, it seems to have been demolished and the new one is due to open next year unfortunately:

www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/15m-rhyl-water-park-gets-12534672

Probably still good though.

The very best cheap holiday I ever had was at a Pontins in summerset. I had a lovely fornight there pottering back and forth to the paddle boats while my parents watched wimbledon. :-) I reckon cheap holidays can be great. Good for you for having a go.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/03/2018 18:00

£20 petrol
£1.50 another fucking tester pot.

Welcome Lou

WreckTangled · 19/03/2018 18:01

Nsd

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/03/2018 18:37

Parkdean do some cheap but nice caravan type holidays, we have done a few of those in Devon and they have always been nice. If you sign up for emails you get lots of offers come through.

I've been thinking about the May half term, I want to go to Dorset and am looking at Wareham for a couple of nights, the cheapest air bnb is £34 a night which isn't too bad. Need to wait till payday to book though!!

Dds school was shut today due to the snow, she went to some friends for the morning and mums this afternoon so I could work. The roads were scary, braked a few times and nothing happened 😲 very disconcerting!!

Dd is knackered after her show Ystd, she did really well and I'm very proud of her, not sure if I said but she played a suffragette!! She is grumpy as anything now though so going to bed early...

WreckTangled · 19/03/2018 18:44

Ds is poorly. High fever and headache apparently. Hope he's ok tomorrow...

Wolfcub · 19/03/2018 18:55
