mammy I love a tuna melt 🥪🥪🧀🧀🐟🐟

ememem84 · 13/03/2018 14:28

Ive just given ds a bowl of porridge. We’re now trying porridge instead of lunchtime bottle.

Mess. Mess. Mess. Sticky baby. But happy boy.

WreckTangled · 13/03/2018 14:30

Me too. I've been craving a tuna baguette for ages. Might have to make myself one on Friday!

Stupid government have messaged me saying ds is eligible for 30 hours free childcare and have given my a code for it. He's five the idiots!

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2018 14:33

Sounds lush mammy.

To be honest it was one of the best interviews I've had in a while in that they were just lovely. Whether I've done enough remains to be seen but we will see. We managed a chuckle too so fingers crossed.

Spendy day while specs being repaired though. £13.39 mountain warehouse after scout discount.
£3.60 primark on vests, £30 Sainsbury's.

Em, sounds so frustrating. Hopefully you get some movement soon.
Love DC when the start to explore themselves and the world. YY to the Willie obsession.

That sounds tough sunny. Never easy to list all of the bad things. Or so called bad. Sorry can't think of a better word.

mammymammyIRL · 13/03/2018 14:56

em Smile It's feels way more like a lunch out than a regular tuna sandwich at work Smile

wreck enjoy those free childcare hours WinkWink

We went to a petrol station on Sunday and dc bought sweeties and we used the facilities there, afterwards ds ran across (safely) the forecourt, and he lost his trousers, obviously hadn't closed the button properly and mammy didn't check it. Blush I rushed to pull up his trousers and his response was 'at least everyone didn't see my willy mammy' Grin

life well done on interview

WreckTangled · 13/03/2018 14:59

Ds has learnt to helicopter with his willy

ememem84 · 13/03/2018 15:11

wreck bahahahahahahahaha!!!!

My sis is a primary school teacher. She taught a boy a few years ago who did “the pocket elephant” in the playground....

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2018 15:17

They should put that in the child development books wreck

£2 loss on a bet to spark a free bet. Cheltenham’s on.

Made laundry gloop. 60p. Should last two months.

needastrongone · 13/03/2018 15:44

GrinGrin Wrecked. It's the important things in life to learn I find ha ha !!

Glad you felt that the interview went well Life, I was going to ask how it went but you posted before I came on.

Girlie how did the meeting go with your DD's year head?

That's a lot of socks Fluffy Grin I've had a little thaw btw Wink

Snuggly You have my deepest and every sympathy, can't even imagine getting 3 little people sorted and teaching secondary all day.

Tayto Any change to the tongue as yet Grin

Good luck meadow, fingers crossed for your interview.

lonely I might dig out some stuff to sell, good idea. I haven't started any seeds either yet. I'm actually planning far more herbs, just in case I'm time poor.

Quiet sort of a day here. Couple of lovely walks with the dogs and a lot of tidying. A class and a run. Beds stripped blah blah.

£5 on a class. That's it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2018 16:02

Yeah none of this your baby is the size of an avacado malarky. It should be what age your ds twerk at you with no pants on cos it's funny to him.

mammymammyIRL · 13/03/2018 16:09

life GrinGrinGrin

LonelyOversharer · 13/03/2018 17:52

After 3 little girls, having to constantly say "get your hands out of your pants/stop touching your willy" was unexpected; and at the moment we get are getting a lot of bum wriggling, bare if he can get away with it, sigh.

Nsd (real money) but forgot to post a parcel, oops.

I've half stripped out the big greenhouse, enough to start seeds. There is a rather a lot of wood stored in there just now, which is awkward. The little greenhouse is out of action this year, it's storing all the random homeless bits from the old shed and shop. I'm hoping to get a polytunnel up this year, but am now contemplating sinking it 2' as this would help keep plants warm etc. Thinking. I also want a homemade fruit cage. My garden is going to end up looking like an allotment. But thats better than a muddy mudslide. Digger first.

Tonights random tea was baked charlotte potatoes, sausage rolls and beans! Am compliling a list for tomorrow. I'm actually not missing food shopping (everyday). It has taken a while to get used to though.

life that sounds positive, how long to wait? Hope meadows went well.

WreckTangled · 13/03/2018 18:03

Lentil shepherds pie for dinner. Ds was keen but dd ate it all. Why do they never like the same things?! I can't wait to go to bed 😴

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2018 18:20

Should know by this time next week. Interviews are today and tomorrow. I was in the first slot.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 13/03/2018 18:33

Hi all, glad the interviews went okay.

My meeting with the year head went well I think, he listened anyway and has suggested a few things so we will see...

Has laska reported back since the fish bone in throat thing?!

Spends

£4.40 swimming - first time I've been in ages
£2 cup of tea
£17 on gift for dds friend (one of her closest friends from primary) and a couple of other bits, dd owes me £5 of that as well.
£17 tesco on easter eggs, they are doing 3 for £10 on the big eggs so have got dd two and one for my mum, then got smaller ones for nieces and nephews. That's me pretty much done for easter!

SunnyLikeThursday · 13/03/2018 18:33

The referral thing is long and dull, and I'd better not splurge it all over the intarweb. It's not for anything major. Did the forms though, and got told all about how there is no money and no clinic and he's not eligible and all that. Knackered now though. I hate those forms. I wish we could just pay money and go to see a medical person, and not have to tell every single life detail to every single state employee we've ever met. Zzzzz

CremeEggThief · 13/03/2018 18:41

I hear you, Sunny. Why can't the new medical professionals just read and refer to old notes and just ask if there are any updates or changes?😕

You sound really positive, Life. Shame you have to wait so long to find out. Hope Meadow's went well too.

Em, great about DS rolling over. Not so great about the sale though. It's even worse how this problem flared up so near completion.

Spends: £2.50 on a latte and doughnut from Greggs and £2.48 on milk and crumpets.

ememem84 · 13/03/2018 18:43

I was going to the gym. But dh isn’t still at work. Scuppered that plan then

Laska5772 · 13/03/2018 18:50

Girlie I was just reading!
so No - shamefaced - I haven't been to see anyone and yes it still hurts.. But i am pretty sure its hurting because I stuck my fingers right down hard a couple of times in panic.. but yes it is still pretty painful to swallow and I feel that my glands are up are up now and when i swallow ear hurts (but that's on the other side to where I thought the bone was, so i reckon I've just injured myself and it will get better. .. .I have been gargling with salt water and with soluble paracetamol and codeine.. but that rasping scratched feeling isn't so bad..

I know..... ( but i hate going to docs and i cannot bear the thought of A&E .. so have decided to give it until Thursday when I am off and if its no better l will call the doctor then .. Not eating much is good for the diet anyway ..

I have made soup..

MeadowHay · 13/03/2018 18:52

Life I'm glad to hear your interview went well.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes everyone. My interview didn't go as well as I'd hoped. It wasn't some awful car-crash interview or anything but there were some technical questions I had no clue what the answer was as I've never been trained on them before and they're not something I do in my job. The other guy had his interview in the afternoon and I know he will have got it but regardless I feel much better now it's over with. I was so horrendously anxious in the interview I forgot some stuff I had planned to say so I didn't even get to showcase all my skills and knowledge that I did have. Oh well. Mat leave soon lol...will look for a different job while I'm off if I don't get this one.

Spends today were 90p on a muffin and 80p on a spring roll at work canteen as part of my lunch.

Wigwigeconomist · 13/03/2018 18:53

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time sunny

Spendy today but only cash that we had taken out last month so my bank account looks unchanged Grinprobably won't have this luxury next month so I'm considering this month as 'transitional'/ practice and thinking I'm doing pretty damn well, all things considered

Unescorted · 13/03/2018 18:53

life I am glad it went well and so sorry I sent the link through so late.
Meadow hope yours went as positively.
Why are boys so obsessed? So long as DS doesn't plunge into the sulk of doom that is dh at the moment I will live with helicopter willies and naked twerking. Mammy when your dh is being an arse just think of him naked twerking in front of a disapproving crowd.
Snuggly sleep deprivation as horrible.
Em they are cutting it to the wire. Hope it is resolved soon.
Lonely you are making me jealous with all your Vege stuff.

Wigwigeconomist · 13/03/2018 18:53

Sorry to hI we about the interview meadow hopefully it went better than thought Smile

Unescorted · 13/03/2018 18:57

sunny it is frustrating dealing with medical hoops. I find because I don't speak their shorthand they take an entirely different message to the one I am trying to convey.

Laska having said that get it looked at!

WreckTangled · 13/03/2018 18:57

Nsd today.

Em that's annoying.

Ds has just read his whole book to me! He's doing so well Smile
