Ah yes, I can understand that Wreck. We’ve not had sleepovers yet so I don’t know how I’ll feel. Frazzled, probably!

Little hungover today. Currently making pancakes for the family but I’m still full of cheese...

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/02/2018 07:38

We had a night out on the town with the DDs last night. When I say night out, we sat down for dinner at 4.45 and were home by 7pm 🙊 But it was nice and DP paid and I paid the tip.

I’m beginning to wobble about whether leaving my CS job is a good idea. I guess though I need to remember my new job will let me prioritise my DDs a lot more, and I don’t have to stay there forever. I’m just worried I may end up completely de-skilled.

Anyway, today is going to be a cleaning/housework kind of day. Roast dinner too. DD2 has a party to go to later which is very exciting for a three year old in their social calendar Smile

Yesterday
£60 Tesco
£5 dinner tip (had no change)

Should be a NSD

Stay warm frugaleers. It’s so cold!

Morning my lovelies.
I am shattered. I had a busy day yesterday with dd's birthday party and then a rubbish night's sleep. I feel sorry for those of you with smalls and their erratic sleep patterns.
This snow reporting is weird... BBC saying that we will get a few flakes and the met office has us down for weather warnings. I did the monthly shop last week so plenty of food in. I can work from home which makes it easier.

I may have to make some flapjack....we have loads of oats. Mornflake wanted to use DS as one of their inspirational stories. I jestingly said they needed pay him a lifetime supply of cereal.....a large box arrived as it appears that they have taken us seriously.
Second the flasks. I take one every day...it saves a fortune. It is now getting a well loved patina so it makes me look suitably old hand. The other saving on the move is a home made porridge pot.. quick cook oats, sugar salt and powdered milk. Some dried fruit nuts and seeds if I am feeling posh. Great if you have catch a n early train.

Nofilter · 25/02/2018 08:41

Hi,

I love the Aldi porridge pots!! They actually mean I eat breakfast and are 35p I should get something to take my own really..

Had a stupid spendy day yesterday! Kind of a “oh sod it” luckily I can send a lot of it back but some I can’t. I did need jumpers as for YEARS I’ve had hot sweats / been way way too warm to even consider them and I’m no longer feeling that - so have zero jumpers strangely. I bought a few on eBay - new ones and have a few bids too...

Boden jeans and 3 tops ahhhh!!

Going to get that coffee take away cup as it’s going to be a lean week until 29th! #shoot

ememem84 · 25/02/2018 08:56

I’ve just ordered a snack bag to take snacks (duh) with me when I go back to work. Previously things would go in a freezer bag. Which would then get thrown away. I’m trying to be a bit more eco friendly and reduce waste and be a bit more aware of what I’m eating.

So will bulk buy snacks and decant into my snack bag. Be it fruit, dried fruit, nuts, or slightly unhealthier options like twiglets, pretzels etc.

I want a new travel mug but mines still going strong. It’s onlh a cheapy from paperchase but it does the job. When it gives up I’ll invest in a posh one. (Gutted that when Bil left dsis in January he took his posh mug with Cafetière attachment....)

I'm still in bed with boycat draped over me!

Have sold another furniture piece for £20 which am pleased about, have made nearly £150 from selling stuff recently. Plan today is to spend some of that money on a few bits for dds room, thought would go to The Range for a mooch about.

SnugglySnerd · 25/02/2018 09:30

That cheese looks amazing Christmas!

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/02/2018 09:39

Unescorted Nice one. Is that interviewer still folllowing you on Twitter?.

Should be a NSD today.

Wolfcub · 25/02/2018 09:47

Morning all. Last day of half term my brain is full of work and the house is a heap. £5 charity donation and need to spend £1 inflating car tyres. No other spends planned.

ememem84 · 25/02/2018 10:06

nofilter hello fellow teeth straightener! Is orthodontic wax any good with Invisalign? My tongue is rubbing against one of the back edges and it’s a bit sore. I vaguely remember having wax when I had train track braces when I was a teenager. Must hunt it out tomorrow.

Going to dr tomorrow as they’ve got the results of my blood tests and X-rays from a while ago. There’s a pharmacy there so hoping they sell the wax. If not it’s a trip to town to get some from boots as I saw it there the other day.

Have you done before/progress pics em?
Bloody pony -they dont half nip if they get you.
I avoided treats for ponies as it can make them prone to nipping when we had them, although I had a gentle boy who would quietly search your pockets like he was frisking you downGrin
Lovely sunny day -tired from yesterday so a bit of baking and pottering .
Will get meat from the farmshop included in food budget and need to look out my Arctic Parka ready for this weeks weather 🐧

Wolfcub · 25/02/2018 10:39

Ironing done, ds has helped by doing the dusting - probably in an effort to earn back some pocket money after being a complete sod for the past few days.

mammymammyIRL · 25/02/2018 10:47

Not an instagram worthy pic
A lie in & breakfast in bed for my birthday StarGrin it's Tuesday but neither of those will happen then.

Last nights spends €4 tip and €6.30 on a pint & soda water & lime

I've just pm'd someone on a Facebook about a beautiful mahogany chest of drawers though so could be spending €150 today Shock

No friends have come for sleepovers yet here. My friend just never did them, we did at home. Who knows!
DD's play date went really well yesterday until ds got annoying, he was cold outside but they weren't and he wanted everyone to come in. Dd sneakily invited their nephew up from next door then to get rid of ds Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/02/2018 10:54

£101 sainsbury ffs

QuiteCleanBandit · 25/02/2018 11:01

Big fat NOPE to sleepovers here thank the lord those days are over
Ends up with exhausted weepy children and parents Grin
DD hated them and DSs not fussed.
Once teenagers, got a big tent and left them to get on with it.
Sausages for breakfast cooked on the camping stove outside away from me

mammymammyIRL · 25/02/2018 11:02

WAKEovers a guy at work calls them!

mammymammyIRL · 25/02/2018 11:03

Made enquiries about pony club/horse riding for dd €20 a lesson starting in next couple of weeks.

QuiteCleanBandit · 25/02/2018 11:04

So true mammy
Bloody nightmare

Unescorted · 25/02/2018 11:10

Yes fluffy they do. They also liked one of my tweets.

Cagliostro · 25/02/2018 11:10

Oh damn I missed drunk seacow! :o

I’m currently sorting out baby clothes. I might go and buy more later as we have lots of toys, books etc that need to go in something, and the boxes are only £3. I might have to keep one for Cagletini though as she seems to like it 😂

quite I haven’t but Dentist has. I may do though.

Have put together a pack to keep at dparents - toothbrush toothpaste mouthwash floss. Will take a similar pack to work and leave in work bathroom cabinet when I go back.

WreckTangled · 25/02/2018 11:26

Happy birthday mammy!

Ds is convinced he's having a sleepover for his birthday and so is dd 😭😭

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/02/2018 11:44

You’d rather buy them the biggest toy in smiths wouldn’t you?.

Dn jokingly suggested they come to live with us. We only just tolerate the cat some days.

Unescorted Hard not to get your hopes up isn’t it?

mammymammyIRL · 25/02/2018 12:56

It's still available Grin
