Happy Birthday Seacow Cake and Flowers

Love that's good news about the pay increase

Girlie sorry to hear about DD's birthday event. She's having a tough year, isn't she?

Fluffy I'm laughing at the shop assistant asking for ID. And your cheeky DH's comment.

em glad you didn't hurt yourself when you fell off the horse

Laska enjoy the mobile home shopping trip. Very jealous!

Did another few hours of overtime this morning. Another six hours to do and then I can claim it all.

DH and DD went off planting trees this morning. Then DD persuaded him to stop off at Penneys/Primark. She's now the proud owner of a pair of llama slippers Grin

There's a fundraising walk locally tomorrow but I'm not sure if I can be arsed. It's supposed to be really cold. I'm a bit fed up with the cold and mud now. Roll on summer!

Laska5772 · 10/02/2018 20:13

Ooh ....yummy baked fish... DH did it in a touch of vermouth and herbs, wrapped in parma ham ( fancy Smile) I made a dish of ratatouille-style roasted veg .. glass of white ..Yum..

Now going to see if anything good on telly ( there wont be) so probably will catch up on something..

Laska5772 · 10/02/2018 20:17

we went out to B&Q and picked up several match pots in shades of v pale grey to try out on lounge wall (we know how to have a good time!).. then Sainsburys where DH spent £42.45..it will have to go into my food spreadsheet though as I am seriously tracking food bought and eaten this month .

We also looked at Tvs and wall brackets on Currys as we do need to replace out old one at some point soon. (its playing up )

WreckTangled · 10/02/2018 20:20

Ooo laska I would be interested to see your paint tests once you've done them. Dh is luckily able to get trade paint so will be a bit cheaper...

We just spoke to fil on FaceTime. Amazing how far technology has come. It's 24 degrees and raining there.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/02/2018 21:21

Evening all, thanks for all the nice bday wishes for dd you're a lovely lot 😊 she has had a bit of a rubbish year so far I think 11/12 yo is a tricky age tbh. She has had a much better day today though thankfully, we had a family bday tea here which she really enjoyed and got some lovely gifts.

I have been cracking on with her bedroom and prepping the walls ready to paint next week, also pretty much single handedly dismantled her midi bed (#whoneedsaman 😉) buyer is collecting tomos.

Fingers crossed her party goes well tomos! !!

seacow hope you feel better soon.

em Ouch you are v brave to get back on, I'm scared stiff of horses!!

Sorry to all the posters I've missed, I'm only managing to skim read atm.

Nsd.

SnugglySnerd · 10/02/2018 21:25

Happy birthday Christmas. Sore throat here too expect our babies have infected us both with their lurgies! Get well soon.

£80-something in B&Q. House has been a bit neglected for the last 12 months or so (can't think why) so a few jobs need doing.

ememem84 · 10/02/2018 21:51

#brave that’s me!! I had to get back on otherwise the kids in my group would have laughed at me! Haha!

Dh has just done the tens machine on my hands. Aaaaaah it felt wierd!!!!

He’s apparently making chocolate pancakes for breakfast. No idea how as we have no flour. Or cocoa. Or chocolate. Or Nutella....intriguing.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/02/2018 23:21

£15 petrol
£3 Amazon but I had 26 in vouchers, 3 weeks supply of cat food.

My Dh likes to keep my feet on the ground. I looked in the mirror tonight while dn 1 & 2 came round with dn1 partner and thought god you look rough. Then I drank 3 proseccos and a laphroig. There's a connection between the two 🤔

Cagliostro · 10/02/2018 23:41

NSD but I might cheer myself up by spending my Xmas gift card online. I’ve also filled a Tu basket ready for the sale and found nursing tops (strappy vests so I can not show my tummy when wearing my usual t shirts) and black trousers (DS tap uniform) on Asda which I’ll get via cashback when I can.

SnugglySnerd · 11/02/2018 06:20

That reminds me of my Asda bargain this week Cag. I got some leggings off the sale rack for DD1. Tag said they were reduced to £6 for 3 pairs. They went through the till for £1.50!

Loveabaconsandwich · 11/02/2018 06:26

Glad your daughter had a lovely day yesterday girlie and happy birthday to seacow

Yesterday
£14 Tesco- DP and I took separate trips as when I went to make a curry our onions were ick
£19.99 on two large Yankee candles
£9.95 ebay on some joules slipper boots- my lovely ones i got as a gift from Christmas have fallen apart Angry

Garage is almost ready for the old sofas. I do have this dream of doing a garage conversion one day and turning it into another living room. I think i’d need to find about £40k to do it though. We’d also need a shed. So never then!

Today should be a NSD. Might get milk.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2018 07:06

Careful with Tu. The have a habit of emptying baskets before the 25%> take a screen shot so you can use the code and reorder quickly.

DC want to go swimming today so £10, school shoes £50 but I have a £14 voucher, footy shoes and joggers.

WreckTangled · 11/02/2018 07:22

Wow that is a bargain snugggly.

I'm going out for breakfast with a friend this morning. Going to bill's so can get 20% nhs discount.

needastrongone · 11/02/2018 08:45

How did the pancake making go emGrin

Had a busy day yesterday. We had friends over and one of them is now celebrating being 2 years cancer free. So I did go to a lot of effort. Cooked all day. But we had a great night and it was totally worth it.

Hoping for a quieter day today, bar a run.

needastrongone · 11/02/2018 08:46

Hope you feel okay seacow, it's rotten being poorly, especially with little ones when you can't really rest.

needastrongone · 11/02/2018 08:48

How did you make the banana cookies lonely? Got a pile to use myself.

ememem84 · 11/02/2018 08:50

Morning all.

Should be a nsd today. Last night after my tens session I bought myself some fingerless gloves from hush.

I am unbelievably achey today. My one giant ab hurts from the crunches I did at the gym on Friday and from the cantering yesterday. My ass hurts from falling off pony. My hands hurt. So I’m staying in bed for the moment. Have coffee hot water bottle and catface.

Ds is up and is sitting with dh watching motd. So I’ve got a couple of hours to myself. Yay!

Today’s jobs:

  • Change bedding for lovely new bedding (which I bought ages ago but they kept delaying delivery). It’s an orla kiely set (grey leaf type pattern with a bronze stripe/stem on white bedding) I love her designs. Hate the cost. But love the designs.
  • take bag of clothes to Salvation Army bin.
  • relist eBay things
  • hoover rooms
  • sort paperwork and find our marriage certificate as lawyer needs this. I had it the other day and have put it somewhere.
ememem84 · 11/02/2018 08:52

need pancakes were nice. Dh used oats, a smidge of protein powder milk and liquid egg white and some hot chicokate powder I didn’t know we had.

Served with yoghurt and defrosted raspberries. Not too shabby. Grin

needastrongone · 11/02/2018 08:54

Every one of my guests have already text me and said what a fab night they had and food was lovely. I'm really glad I went to so much effort now, occasionally it's worth the trouble.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2018 08:59

Good news about your friend need. That's defo worth the effort.

Had a self pity day yesterday. Back on it today. Day on a spinning bike waiting for the class to start. Meal plan started. Got as far as Tuesday.
Aldi after the gym for the bits no one told me we have run out of fffs

Rest up em.

Unescorted · 11/02/2018 09:01

I am glad it's not just me wanting a pancake update.

Em I fell over in the snow last weekend while out walking with friends. I still have a sore patch on my thigh even though it didn't bruise.

Today will be a day of Aldi, baking / cooking and finishing off my job application. I just hope this snow goes away so I don't end up in a ditch on my errands. I have yet to understand why when I lend my car it comes back with no fuel and I need to fill it up so I can have the pleasure of public transport next week as well. I must check my forehead for the GUM tattoo.

Wolfcub · 11/02/2018 09:13

I’ve been praying for rugby to be cancelled as it’s snowing and raining a bit. Doesn’t look like I’m going to get lucky. I need to ferry ds so that’ll be the whole morning gone until 1, iron, pack and make a roast dinner. No rest for the wicked in this house!

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2018 09:13

Footy is off. Yes!
